Medina Goodwill Review Medina Goodwill is always a delight to visit! The store is consistently full of merchandise, well-lit, and easy to navigate. Parking is convenient up the hill, and once you get the hang of the traffic flow, getting in and out is simple. As an art junk journaler who creates handmade books and Bible devotionals, this has become one of my favorite places for inspiration. I always find unique art supplies, craft materials, and new ideas. Their book section is huge--I rarely leave without a handful of great finds for just a few dollars. One day, I even stopped in when all the children's books were free! I also keep an eye out for storage containers and baskets, and I can almost always find one or two perfect pieces. They offer a small rewards system linked to your phone number, which is a nice bonus. What truly adds to the experience is the staff. The employees--many of them young--are always friendly, patient, and consistently kind in every interaction. They're quick to offer assistance and make the shopping experience even better. My favorite part of the store is the craft area--everything is color-coded, making it incredibly easy to browse. They also set up seasonal holiday sections, which I love. Beyond that, the store carries clothing for all ages, tools, wall art, and an ever-changing variety of furnishings and home goods. This store is huge. It may have been a former farmers market, it's located inside what looks like a barn, complete with silo. The store was packed with customers and I even saw one woman walk out with a full cart of clothing. Stop in and discover something you didn't know you needed. read more

I've been shopping at Goodwill since I could walk. We grew up poor, so getting shoes, clothes, and tennis rackets as a kid was a joy. In fact, I used that tennis racket to teach myself to play tennis, which I ended up playing in high school and college. Now, my kids go to Goodwill and they always find something they can use, from movies, to Rollerblades, to skateboards, to clothes. We got some Rollerblades Ultrablades along with a Tony Hawk skate board. The prices are unbeatable and the service is friendly. Having this store right around the corner from my house is great because we can donate our stuff and buy other stuff. Plus, I get a tax writeoff for donating. I never saw the merchandise. I broke a shoe on a door dash delivery and pulled in here for a quick fix. My husband was with me and we only had one mask--- but I wrapped fabric around my face. The gatekeepers refused to let us in citing the written requirements as : face covering. "I can sell you a lovely scarf though. Would you just buy a scarf?" "The fabric covering my face offers more of a barrier. I can add a cardigan sweater over my face for an extra layer. I only need to buy a pair of shoes. Pretty much anything in a 7." "Oh! Shoes. We have shoes but you will have to buy a scarf first." "I came in to buy any size 7 shoes marked a dollar fifty. I do not want a scarf." (Sustained giggling from both) "we do not have any shoes marked under five dollars!!!" (More giggling.) "Perfect. I can leave now." (Our a/c is not functional due to a blend door issue and my husband is on his second heart attack and third stroke and could not sit in the car. The reason he was with me while I was delivering is ostensibly that the 1999 i30 (world's oldest living Infiniti) will only start for him currently. BUYER BEWARE!! This was the ABSOLUTE WORST experience I have ever had at any Goodwill! I do not believe I will EVER return to this Goodwill location after what my mom and I both experienced! First off, The Summit County Goodwill locations have changed their "policies" and not for the better! My mom and I used to receive a 30% off coupon every month on our cards. That was discontinued. Also, we used to receive "20% off your next purchase" coupon for every donation. NOW, it's 15% off. Which means that after you factor in sales tax, you're not even saving 10% off your purchase! THEN to top off the massive RIPOFF or "scam" that has become Goodwill over the last few months, they ask if you want to "round up" to the nearest/next dollar! So, it's becoming LESS of a "value" to shop at Goodwill since I have bought decent T-shirts at Wal-mart and even Family Dollar & Dollar General for $5-$6 BRAND NEW vs. the $4 USED shirts you purchase at Goodwill! THE ONLY positive perk that is still available at all Goodwill locations in Summit county is the 35% off coupon you receive after every 100 points ($100) spent. So, after all of these changes my mom and I decided to stop in this Goodwill because one of the most interesting features of this Goodwill is the look of the building resembling a barn/garage renovation that even has a giant silo on the property with the classic Goodwill logo. My mom and I have had SEVERAL decent trips here over the years but after the last few trips, I do not see us returning here anytime soon as there are other thrift stores in the county/area. A few months ago, there used to be this one REALLY negative cashier that had ABSOLUTELY no manners as one day my mom and I were at the register and we separate our purchases between hers and mine (I want to share at this point I'm adopted and my mom is Asian and I'm Caucasian) and I called her "mom" of course and she became REALLY bothered and upset by me doing that and said, "You call her mom?!?". I said, "Yeah, that's her name??" Waited for a response, an apology, SOMETHING! No, she just looked down and kept ringing up our items. Well, my mom and I were in the area this past and decided to visit this Goodwill a few days ago. BIG MISTAKE even though this same cashier was not there! Everything was fine until we were at the register. In fact, we didn't know what this cashier had done until we arrived at home and looked at our receipts separately. Well, it was our mistake to have not watched the young woman cashier's EVERY movement because she BLATANTLY ripped us off by a several dollars worth! She rang up almost EVERY item wrong as something else MUCH more expensive!! For me, she rang out EVERY shirt as a woman's short sleeved shirt at $3.98!! A Pittsburgh Steelers shirt that was a gift to someone rang out "Women's shirt...$3.98!" and SEVERAL Men's t-shirts were rang out at as women's shirts $3.98!! T-shirts were supposed to be $2.00!! I called the store to make sure I was not wrong and the manager reassured me that t-shirts were $2.00. I was BEYOND upset, and chewed out the cashier to this manager saying we were DEFINITELY coming back for a refund!! The next day we returned to the store with our items and asked a manager to go over them and the receipts. As she was going through the receipts she actually was inspecting the items saying, "Well, if you feel this material, it shouldn't be in t-shirts." WHAT!?! When did THAT become a policy?!?! I became so angry yet I remained calm on the outside while cautiously grabbing my items and I said, "LISTEN! This shirt here (I was sorting and separating each shirt into piles as to where I found them) was found in the women's section and the REST of them were found in the t-shirt section!" She continued to argue with me saying, "Well, they shouldn't have been in that section but since you found them there, I will give it to you." WHAT IS THAT GARBAGE?? Okay? No, that's NOT okay with me! She went over our receipts and had the WORST time trying to understand how the cashier rang up items. She took out a wax pencil/china marker and began to go over the entire receipt and kept trying to explain furthermore what this cashier rang out right and wrong. While this was going on, my mom found planters that were marked incorrectly as she tried to purchase them with our "refund". $2.99 and they rang up$6.99? The manager had to fix THAT mistake as well and eventually (after arguing some more) gave us the planters for $2.99. ALL the planters were priced, with a sticker, for $2.99!! WHAT ARE THEY TRYING TO DO AT THIS LOCATION? Do they just make up prices?? So, to sum up this trip, WATCH YOUR CASHIER'S EVERY MOVE AND PAY ATTENTION TO HOW THEY CHARGE YOUR ITEMS!! We didn't and "paid the price" more so. We will NOT be returning to this location! We were seriously taken advantage of in the WORST way at Goodwill (ill-will?) of all places to be taken advantage of and RIPPED off! read more

I drove 30 minutes to based on good things I've heard about this location. I was extremely disappointed at the quality and price of the items. Such a big store with no selection. The drop off/sorting room is where everything was but no one was putting anything new out. Ridiculously overpriced and I left the store feeling very grimy. I have gone to this Goodwill for over 20 years now. I always find something useful when I stop in. I love finding cookbooks on the bookshelf, movies in the movie section and whatever clothes I might need. The employees are friendly. It could be a little bit cleaner but considering it is a secondhand store I don't really have high expectations with that aspect. The prices have gone up a bit and they stopped giving the 20% coupon for donations. That is disappointing. I do hope they bring the coupons back. read more

I love this store! Have been shopping here for years. I have "scored" wonderful items in many departments including art pieces, housewares, electronics, lamps, clothing, and more. I got skis for boat here, and just a fresh variety of things. They have a 50% off color every time you visit. You can get a card to be a member, and when you've got 100 points (based on your purchases), you get a 35% off coupon to use within the next couple of months. Sr. Citizens can use their Golden Buckeye card for 10% off, and if you bring a donation around to the back door, you get a coupon for 20% off to use on your next trip. This location is very clean and had decent shoes and ladies pieces but--I deducted 2 stars for the nonchalant staff member's attitude who checked me out. While ringing me up she literally threw my items in a bag and wanted to argue whether or not one of my items was a tank or not. I asked her was she having a bad day and she replied, "I'm just tired". I totally understand we all get tired sometimes but don't let it ruin the experience for others shopping at Goodwill. I will be back though. read more

I'm not a frequent Goodwill shopper, and coming here reminded me why. The stuff is just garbage and the prices are a joke! I frequently shop at children's resale events all over the Cleveland area, and the prices and selection don't even compare at all. If you're shopping for a child, definitely skip Goodwill. Lets just say I went to pop some tags (with) only got twenty dollars in my pocket hunting, looking for a come-up and it was forgettably aweful. I've been shopping here since high school (about 10 years ago). During my high school years this was the place to find unique, cheap clothes. It has gone downhill the past couple of years and is really lacking on quality merchandise. The whole building could really use some much needed updating and an intense deep clean. read more
