The store is scammy They have a half off day for a certain color of tag. I watched as staff rolled out large shopping carts and filled them with items that had the colored tags for the half off special for that day. Three employees were engaged in this. One was pulling orange tag (that days sale) items from each section, and wheeling the carts into the back so no one could get any orange tag items for half off that day. The other two looked like they were stocking new items, but they were simply putting items back they had pulled the day before so no one could get half off of those items. I found zero orange tag shoes, games, women's clothing, etc. I will contact corporate and ask if this is indeed how they do business. Add: prices are NOT thrift prices. They wanted $14 for a dirty no name blazer, for instance. Lots of items are just junk. This place used to be fun to shop at but now you won't get sales as well as seeing stuff like dirty, lidless storage bins for sale for $8. There are no dressing rooms, either. There are better thrift stores than this corporate scam. read more

SAVERS is a second-hand or thrift store where the clothes and other items such as jewelry and shoes are affordable. They are known for their cheap prices. They also accept donations of used or gently worn clothing and shoes that they then sell at the store. Customer service was friendly when I visited in July 2024. I visited in July 2024 with a friend because she wanted to buy a dress for a party she was attending the next day so I drove her here. She ended up finding a dress that she liked. I wasn't planning on buying anything but I ended up getting a pair of red flats for $9.29. As expected, their shoe selection for my size, which is above a size 10, was limited so I was happy to find cute red flats that were my size. The store is quite large and very clean. I absolutely LOVE this thrift store, but I'm going to start with something that ruins my experience literally every single time I'm there. I've talked to them about it, but since they refuse to address it, I decided to write a review here. There is a young guy who is clearly a reseller who this store not only tolerates, but caters to. He hangs out by the purses for hours (e.g. this is loitering) with a large satchel that is his. I'm fairly certain he's getting a text or something from the workers in the back because the second a new rack of purses is pulled out to the floor from the back, he acts like a WWE wrestler and literally blocks anyone else from looking while he rapid fire throws the purses into his satchel - which he'll take over to a corner to inspect. He often has one or two other guys with him. The store maintains that they can do nothing about it because he's shopping like everyone else. I disagree. One, they can demand that he use a cart like everyone else. Two, they can not allow him to loiter in one spot as he does. I thrift for environmental reasons and there was a time in my life I did it out of necessity. I'm against people who resell for a living, but I get that there's generally no way to fight it - except there is in this instance. This guy is like a little flea who makes it feel like a competitive sport. So, do I recommend this store? Yep. It's clean, well organized, and I've found some amazing items. Just be aware that you'll have to deal with this guy and that the store clearly doesn't give a damn. read more

I visit Savers about once a month. It is the most convenient place to drop donations. Every time I drop a donation I park and go in to shop. I love thrifting and Savers usually has a decent selection on homewares and clothing. I would not call it a curated selection. But it does seem cleaner than most thrift stores and organized. The lighting is also good, so you can see the items in the store clearly. You do have to hunt for the nicer items. The staff has always been friendly both in the store and when dropping donations. If you drop a donation you receive a 20% off coupon and if you sign up for emails you get coupons also. If you like to take your time and browse around a thrift store this is the place for you. read more

This is a large location with TONS of housewares to look through. The "goodie bags" with random items are a great touch and I'm sure help to get stock through. I am a picky thrifter, but the prices are amazing so I usually find at least one gem to take home (most recently a Diptyque candle for $3, hello?!). Love the self checkout, too. That said, a HUGE disappointment of this location is the lack of fitting rooms. I love this store! I was so happy to find a Savers in Ohio because I found this gem of a store in California originally. Although things can be hit it miss there I can always find something good. The prices are decent. The items are in good shape. The only thing that sucks is since Covid there are no fitting rooms. This is a major bummer! The store is always presentable and in order. I bought flameless candles for a dinner Im catering. When I went to install the batteries the connections were corroded. I couldn't check this out before because I couldnt open the battery compartment at the store. When I went to return them they said the policy is no returns. They shouldnt put items on the shelves that dont work or put a disclaimer on them "as is" so people know that something isnt right with the product. So, bottom line is they sold me total worthless crap... and made $15, while I'm now the proud owner of totally worthless crap and out $15. Stopped in Savers a few Saturdays ago. The store is v large, so block out some time when you go so you can look around. The prices are all over the place for a thrift store but if you look around, you can find some hidden gems for great prices! Everything was organized well and they were well staffed. During my time there, the staff was consistently bringing out new items, which I appreciated. The only reason why I gave Savers 4 stars is because they didn't have any specials, or color of the day tag discounts like most thrift stores have. I'm an avid thrifter, so I have a pretty solid idea of what makes a thrift store good. Savers definitely has one of the largest selections of home goods and clothing. I rarely visit without leaving with something - and I visit pretty much weekly. The store is clean, the employees are friendly, and the inventory is great. My one complaint is that in general, most items are overpriced. They do have a loyalty program where you can take advantage of half-price days and earn coupons, which helps, but for a thrift store, I've quite frankly been shocked by what they charge for some items. Overall I think Savers has one of the best selections of all the thrift stores in Cleveland, but be prepared to pay much higher prices than you may expect from a thrift store. read more

Corporate thrift store just like the other Cleveland Savers in Brook Park. Stores are almost identical. Staff was just ok. Items were somewhat organized. Nothing too unique, just gently used clothing, decor, toys, etc. So-so selection. I'd never come on any day but Monday which is half off day. The prices would be ridiculous at full price! Large selection, not a quick browse. Just like any other thrift, I'm sure you could find some neat things on occasion, but it was crowded and slightly difficult to shop (possibly since it was a Monday - half off day) I prefer the Brook Park location over Rocky River. This store really went downhill over the pandemic and is a bad place to shop at this point. The prices have raised and raised and raised while the quality is the same or slightly worse. I used to find some good things here intermixed with some cheaper or hidden flaws items. The return policy is a joke, 2 weeks for store credit no mater what type of item. The tipping point was when they removed the changing rooms and made no other changes so now you have to guess sizes or your screwed. Awkwardly trying on shirts in the aisles is so uncomfortable and unnecessary. Go to common threads instead and support a real nonprofit for half the price with real changing rooms and nicer stuff. read more

Why is Savers so expensive? This is a thrift store! Also, I donated clothes to the City Mission in Cleveland and I saw a bunch of my daughter's clothes I donated at Savers??? How did this happen? They have Target clearance clothing with price tags and the Saver price is a dollar or more more expensive! Used Levi's or Gap jeans shouldn't be $7.99! Used photo frames are $4-6?! I enjoy their games and puzzles that I buy for teaching materials and to give to students, these are always reasonably priced. They have a color system for discounts. I came to Savers because my son needed black pants and a white button up shirt for his school Christmas concert. I couldn't believe the prices at this "thrift store". I am barely getting by, and did not have money to spend on something new. I stood there and cried. He needed to try on the pants, but there are no dressing rooms. You have to purchase the clothes and take them home to try them all on. Whatever doesn't fit, you can return, but you will only get store credit. I don't have the money to buy 3 pairs of pants to take home at $10-$12 a piece and 3 white shirts at $10-$14 a piece to see what would fit, and then bring them back and not get money back to go elsewhere. He had to try the shirts on in the middle of the store and take our chances with one pair of pants. In the end, I spent $24 on a pair of black pants, a button up white shirt and a Christmas tie. It's a thrift store. I was so upset and discouraged. As he was trying on the shirts, he saw the pants in the picture. $8 for ripped up pants. And the 50% color was yellow, not blue. Times are so tough right now, and you can't even get a break at the thrift store for the people that really need it. I will never go back to that store again. This is an upscale thrift store in all its glory. Basically, the items here are in typically pretty good shape, hence the price inflation in comparison to places like the Salvation Army. The key is to shop on Monday, when it's half price day. I found an amazing pair of boots here, new like condition, typically priced for 8 dollars, bought for four dollars. I was a happy camper. The atmosphere is similar to a Salvation Army, fluorescent lighting, lines of clothing, separated by size. The staff is friendly, and the changing rooms are clean, a nice bonus. read more

I'm new to the thrifting world, but Savers is my new favorite place. Like another review, the best day to go is definitely Monday where everything is half off. Certain colors are on sale each day, but there doesn't seem to be a set pattern. The clothing section is overwhelming, but it seems as organized as it could be. The other sections (purses, shoes, books, toys, housewares) are easy to browse through. They have a rewards program so be sure to sign up if you plan to peruse here off and on. Parents - be sure to check out the book section. I found several books that were clearly new and were perhaps unloaded here by Marshalls. They are a little more expensive than I'd like (not regular store price, but more than a garage sale), but buy 4 and you get one free! The toy section is hit or miss. I definitely saw a lot of toys my child already has that were in great condition so it's worth a look. If you want a great white elephant gift, check out the board game section. This was my first time in a Savers. I am used to goodwill and salvation army. It was a surprisingly good experience. The selection of items they have is very good and they organize it very well. The book section looks like a small book store. All the books are organized by genre and before people mess it up some are organized by author as well! Looking around the girlfriend and I always find something to buy and take with us when we leave. The only complaint I do have is their pricing is very random on some things. old square LCD monitors going for over $20 when I have gotten wide screen ones at other thrift stores for $7 and other pricing issues on things that are not worth nearly what they ask. They redeem themselves to get that 5th star with how friendly their staff is. They make us feel welcomed when we are there and they are very helpful. read more

This is one of the only thrift stores I've been to in a while where I left with things I actually came in hunting for! The good clothing looks like it gets picked through pretty quick but their PURSES AND HANDBAGS sections is awesome. Large selection and good quality stuff. If you are used to the Salvation Army and Goodwill's base prices you may be a little turned off by some of the prices here but honestly there's still plenty of bargains to be found. For example, I came away with a $3.49 never been worn Banana Republic blouse and a quality $5.99 Rosetti handbag. You can probably do even better on their half price days. read more
