I only really got one "smile" and that was almost forced. But I'm bringing home a haul of books, dvds, and a game for under $35...so I can't talk at that! Will I come back, sure! Will it be soon? Good prices. Lots of books (did I already say that?). Per the usual, I waddled out with arms bursting with my haul. I got a mix of Clearance fiction and some new non fiction. They have cute gift items as well, and the people are friendly. I did sell back a stack on a previous trip, and was not impressed with the buy back prices, but that's pretty much normal for consignment, and it did (temporarily) reduce the book burden in my house, which was the goal. Book burden was replaced during subsequent visit and has been returned to stasis.

The prices of books were high though--no discount at all for new books. Fine to support local but this is why the library will still always be my favorite. What I was confused about is how the books are organized because it is not by author nor by used/new. I'm pretty sure new books were placed right next to pre-owned ones on the same shelf... I did enjoy all the gift and merchandise displays. They were all set up in a way that looked irresistible to buy! My BF bought this photography coffee table book he was really excited about and I got a children's novel illustrated by Jon Klassen (big fans!).

The people working there were very knowledgeable and friendly. The book collection alone is incredible. There is multiple room rooms and the sanctuary holds very old and important books and is definitely interesting to look around in. They also have a cute gift shop that has very cool gifts and handmade items as well. Totally a great find if you are looking for something fun to do, or just looking for a few books.

I knew about this place since I grew up in the area, so on one of our trips "back home" to the area I brought my boyfriend here. Now every time we visit, we grab a coffee from next door (Templeton's) and pop into Books in Stock to peruse the many, many, MANY shelves of books for at least a couple of hours, and always leave with a stack or two of wonderful finds. Apart from the vast selection that spans every genre you could possibly think of, the atmosphere in this shop is the true soul of this place. Two floors packed full of books (and that comforting old-book-smell) with chairs here and there should you care to plop down for a literary adventure. We've frequented many bookstores in many states, and this is still our favorite one. You'll almost always find what you're looking for - and probably leave with several books you didn't know you needed when you walked in.

This place is really great if you're looking for "their type"...which seemed to be Christian definitely, nationalist maybe...so if you're into that you'll love it. There WERE sections for diverse topics-they were just either empty or nearly so. Maybe a bunch of witchy liberal first peoples recently came through and they haven't recovered? There were whole aisles devoted to Christian books. All in all, not diverse but they do have nice books if you are looking for what they carry.

They receive new books frequently, and carry an impressively wide array of books, especially for such a small store. Prices are great, owners are friendly, and it's even got a pretty generous loyalty program. The only downsides to me are just standard stuff. Sometimes you'll buy a book and sometimes the inside will be full of someone else's annotations. That's happened before, but it's just a risk of buying used rather than new. Same goes for potentially not having the specific book you're looking for. These are sort of universal problems for used book stores though, and are well worth it for all of the benefits. Absolutely worth your time, especially if you live nearby.

He loved looking through the books to find something he would enjoy. The lady at the front desk was also very helpful helping us navigate the store and sections. There is an area in front of the large windows with a table for kids to play and seating area for parents. My toddler enjoyed the time we spent at the bookstore. One side is clothes, books and games and toys. The other side is furniture and housewares and sports. This store is super clean!! Everything is very well organized and best of all the prices are right!! Sometimes when you go to a thrift they will charges such high prices that no one wants to buy it. It's not that way here. I swear they have new stuff everyday and they are putting out things continuously all day. If you are on the hunt for something you should stop on out. They are a non-profit that uses their money to benefit different community and international programs.

The South building is mainly clothes, jewelry, shoes, books and toys. The front room is mainly women's clothing with a smaller men's section in the back room. Despite the limited selection of men's clothes I have been impressed with the quality of the selection. I have found 2 pairs of really good shoes here and prices are reasonable. The North Building is mostly home goods, really high quality furniture, some interesting art and other home decor, with kitchen goods, sporting goods and some electronics. Here the prices are very good especially when you consider the quality of the offerings. If you are looking for some great high quality thrift shop finds checking out Good Neighbor Thrift Store is well worth your time. While the big thrift stores have bigger selection it is nice to support a local shop and to reward them for doing a great job. This is a well organized thrift shop with a nice compact foot print and reasonable prices.
