The store is huge, so come with plenty of time so you can take a look at all of the sections. Prices, however, we're still on the higher end for some items, such as toys and home decor. They even beat Goodwill on prices, and I think it will can be pricey. The selection in some areas was very limited, such as books and DVDs. Tonight I scored J. Crew pink pants with no flaws. It's in there, just hard to find. That being said even not-so-great clothes are easy accept when the prices are so cheap. By the time I left, about 1 hr later, that parking lot was full. The amount and piles of clothing are insane, but as someone mentioned in the comments, you really have to be persistent and dig to get quality clothing, which, spoiler alert, I didn't! There were so many people, it was impossible to move around with ease, and I didn't have the patience to sort through all that mess for the perfect clothing item. Plus, the noise and assortment of running, crying and yelling children was not fun. After an hour, I could take no more, and speed walked out of there. I will say the value was amazing, though. On Tuesdays, they sell the clothing for .50! That's right, each piece less than a dollar, which explains the crowds and overflowing carts throughout the place. So the value is there, I just needed the endurance, know-how and focus, to find a great piece. Honestly, I don't know if I'll return. I may need more training on the Art of thrift. I was not impressed by the lack of higher end brands, so I'll continue shopping at my known spots. At the very least, because there's less of a commotion, and the thus an enjoyable shopping experience. Sorry! No pictures. I was too overwhelmed to take any. ‍

As an example, a Special Edition Collection of Downton Abbey CDs was selling for $24.00. Online, I found a new one sealed for $25.00 and it was one of a few in the $25-28 range. Books varied, but many were priced similar to half price bookstores, as opposed to other thrift stores. My belief is that thrift stores should always err on the cheaper side, thus the name, thrift. Sometimes we all miss the great things near our home. For instance, a thrift store. OMG I did not…read moreeven know that I had one nearby that had opened a couple of years ago. This store is not even a mile away! Amanda and Jerry are the couple who own this shop. Not too small, not too big, but clean, well-stocked, and orderly. All their stuff are amazing to browse and buy. I could not believe that most of what I needed were available to buy. I got a blowdryer, a dinner bowl, and an extension cord all just for $6. Amanda was such a friendly and helpful store owner. She is in a wheelchair but that does not hinder her from her hospitality and helpfulness. I know we have the large thrift stores and shops we mostly frequent but I call on all especially locals to visit this shop first. You will never regret it. I also shopped while enjoying the amazing amabience - music playing...soothing candlescent...postive and friendly vibe... One hundred percent of the proceeds of items sold at this shop funds the Helotes Humane Society located right next door. The old house is the thrift shop. A driveway with a sign for drop off will direct you to the back of the house. A large sign is posted on the fence of items they do not accept. All the items sold at the thrift shop are well organized and labeled nicely. There are so many good finds! Lots of antiques and vintage items too. The ladies that work at the shop are very kind, friendly, and helpful. I bought a vintage knit nativity scene that I absolutely love, Christmas lights, coasters, and a tree skirt. They offer military discount on Thursday and senior discount on Friday. I had a blast at this shop and will be back. Besides the Helotes Humane society next door, there's also a small dog park behind it.
