We searched…read morefar and wide to find kitties we really clicked with as well a nice place to adopt them from. Then we found Cari Bartz of Shadow Cat Advocates. Cari is the sweetest person and she has dedicated her life to giving kitties better lives. In addition to fostering cats from shelters and other places and finding them good homes she along with her husband Vern promote and implement Trap-Neuter-Return, a process where they trap feral cats, take them to spayed or neutered and then return them to their homes so no more little homeless kitties can come into this world. They also feed all these feral cats. It's really awesome...but anyway I found the most perfect little black kitties at her house (Nola and Simon) and they are the kindest most friendly little cats. I think this is due in large part to the loving atmosphere Cari provides for them in foster care. The whole adoption process was very easy and quite cheap ($85 for each cat) If you are looking for the perfect little kittie to make your life complete call Cari.

I allow my own ferals in and out, but they were older when I got them, and they are fine. I had promised Cari this baby would never be let out, but she chose not to believe me. She also blocked my phone calls to her cell when I thought we were setting up time and place to proceed with the adoption. Using my brother's cell phone with an out-of-state number confirmed this. She is not honest in her dealings. Her actions toward me were an insult to my character and my honest desire to help give this baby a wonderful home. Because of her, I am no longer interested in pursuing adoptions from any other Petfinder listing. I will find animals through the newspaper or reputable breeders. What a shame.

I bought a desk online on Thursday at 11:23 and went to pick it up today, Saturday. When we went in…read moreto pick it up, the woman at the counter first said something to effect of they didn't sell the piece I was talking about. I showed them the email receipt I had and she told me that there was no receipt at the counter documenting the sale. It was at this moment that I had assumed they sold it to someone else, but nonetheless she looked up my name and was able to find the receipt on their system. We drove around to the back to pick it up and after about 10 minutes of someone looking, he returned with a supervisor. I showed them a picture of the piece and they went back to looking for it. Then, they returned a few minutes later with someone else. They did not have the desk and I had to go back into the front to get them to refund the purchase. The supervisor met me there with the receipt and was telling the cashier that the desk was sold to someone else yesterday, a full 24 hours after I bought it online. Of course they refunded me, but it was just frustrating that over 24 hours later it was sold to someone else. I would not consider purchasing anything online again unless you want to call the store immediately and have them verify that they put the sold sticker on it, as that clearly didn't happen. I wish they had a better online system that prevented this from happening with the few pieces that are listed online.

My friends and I went right when they opened at 3 p.m. on a Friday in October. Here's our experience: 1) Instructions: Two staff members taught us how to tie knots, belay, etc. Once we had the hang of it, they stayed with us to make sure we were climbing safely and/or had any questions. They were great instructors and very personable. 2) Walls: There are four different climbing walls and three ropes. Two walls you can climb without roping in and two others you rope in. (One had an automatic belay machine.) If it's your first time, but you want to climb high, go to the tallest wall and follow the blue markers. 3) Space: It's in the space that was the stage of an old theater. It's kept clean and comes with a training area, restrooms, changing rooms, etc. 4) Staff: When you check in, they give you shoes to climb. (There are cubbies to place your shoes in.) If you didn't sign a waiver online, they'll have you sign when you enter. Every staff person we met was very nice and helpful!
