I had to purchase a pair of dress shoes, and I specifically asked the salesperson when I told her that they were a little tight, but was assured that they would loosen up upon wear and if they didn't, that I could return them. I thought, "that's why I love Nordstrom's." Fast forward two hours, and I had a huge blister on the inside of my big toe. I had to remove the shoes and switch into tennis shoes, which did not match my suit at all. But, I knew I could return the shoes, so I was OK with that. I took the shoes back and was told by a sales clerk and by the manager, "Finn," that I could not return the shoes because they had been worn outside. I explained to her that I specifically asked that when I purchased them earlier and was assured that I could. She said that didn't matter because there were scuffs on the sole of the shoe. I said I would take store credit and she said "aren't you listening, I said we could not take them back." I would avoid this Nordstrom's rack, find another or better yet, just skip them altogether - they are not what they used to be, they do not stand behind their products, and they do not stand behind their word.

This location is super convenient in the sense that it takes about 5 minutes to get here after school drop off, so I came here early in the day. Staff here is great. They're helpful and always polite. I even saw one cashier run out after a woman through the parking lot because she forgot a bottle of wine which was super nice of him. I have to admit that I was not familiar with Grocery Outlet's game. The selection they have here is INSANE! Of course their claim to fame is having a huge price difference in comparison to other grocery stores, but I was pleasantly surprised at everything they had here. Holiday decor, toys, home goods, and so much more. They have stuff here that I don't see at other grocery stores which is fun to discover. I successfully found all of the snacks that I needed to finish out the week and at really excellent prices. Their wine discounts are also insane. I found a red blend by the McBride Sisters (normally $20 at Total Wine) for $3.99 here which is a WILD deal - you better believe I snagged a few! After 5 years of living in the area, I'm glad that I finally stopped in to see what they're all about. I can tell you I'll be back regularly going forward!

They also have a great selection of organic products, which I really appreciate. In today's market, especially with how expensive meat has become everywhere, this store really helps my family afford decent meals with a variety of options beyond just chicken, including beef and some cuts of steak. I also love their variety of coffee creamers, including healthier options with fewer ingredients, which is a big plus for me. They carry well-known brands as well as simpler ingredient options for everyday shopping needs. Their bread selection, especially sourdough, is very popular and always a nice option. And for wine lovers, the variety available is also impressive. Overall, if I were to summarize my experience, this is an excellent place in terms of price, quality, customer service, and variety. The coffee shop is a bonus. I had never been in Bonney Lake before meeting my now husband of 5 plus years, and I have developed the habit of coming here whenever anything happens in my life. Everything is expensive these days, but I come to Ben Franklin to walk the aisles and feel my feelings. I come here when I am sad, scared, happy, excited. Through celebrations and losses, milestones and ordinary days, it has been a constant place of comfort, creativity, and possibility. I do not usually let staff at any store affect my day one way or another. They have their own lives and stories that I know nothing about... every employee I have encountered here has been kind, helpful, and genuinely pleasant. My child is growing up with paintbrushes instead of iPads, with crochet hooks and yarn, fabric, puzzles, sewing machines, and handmade keepsakes that become symbols of memory. She is learning how to create, imagine, and build with her own hands. A big part of that is because this place exists. We truly love Ben Franklin Crafts. Please do not go anywhere.

Very disappointing customer service experience…read more I stopped by Ben Franklin Crafts in Bonney Lake today looking for some stretch or jersey-type fabric that I could use for a backdrop. Unfortunately, my experience with the customer service in the textile department was very disappointing. I asked the sales associate if they carried any stretch fabric. Before I could even finish explaining what I was looking for, she cut me off and told me that they didn't have any stretch fabric. As I continued looking through the fabrics, I found several materials that clearly had some stretch, including crushed velvet and other fabrics in different textures. I pointed out the few fabrics that I found to her and said that there were a bunch of stretch fabrics, and her response was, "You call that a bunch?" I then explained that I was looking to use the fabric for a backdrop, rather than clothing. She responded, "Oh, I thought you needed it to make clothes or something." The interaction continued in a way that left me feeling like I was more of an inconvenience than a customer who was simply asking for assistance. At that point, I walked toward the exit but decided to speak with a manager because I felt uncomfortable leaving without addressing what had happened. I asked for a manager but was directed to a supervisor. I explained the situation, and her immediate response was essentially that they didn't have any stretch fabric. I told her that I had actually found several examples myself. She then said, "I guess they're new." Unfortunately, I didn't feel like my concern was really being heard or that anyone was interested in helping me find what I was looking for. I ultimately gave up and left without purchasing anything. It's not the fact that they may not have had the exact fabric I wanted--that's understandable. It's the way the situation was handled. A simple, "I'm not sure what we have, but let's take a look," would have made a huge difference. I wanted to support a local business, but based on today's experience, I left feeling very disappointed and uncomfortable. Hopefully management takes this feedback seriously, because customer service matters just as much as the products you carry.
