Terrible location. The man working behind the desk acts like he's a police officer with all of the customers. Last time I checked, you needed to work hard in an academy to have that type of authority. I didn't like how the staff, particularly the young hispanic man behind the counter was raising his voice and patronizing a non-english speaking customer. Extremely disappointed. I just happen to pass this Goodwill from running errands because I live in Orcutt I went inside and the ladies inside are so polite and so helpful. I just moved from San Diego and we're downsizing from my 5000 square-foot home to a little townhouse and there's a Goodwill just a few blocks away where I live now, but I wanted to donate some qualities furniture or you know things because the ladies are so nice and helpful. I'm 70 years old and I went to drop off a full SUV full of stuff and this African-American man. He was so rude and so lazy he saw me struggling, taking things out of my car, and he didn't even help, I just can't believe that you have somebody so lazy and so incompetent to work for your wonderful store. I will not returning to donate anything until he is gone. i've been reading the reviews and I'm not the only one that complain about this employee of yours you have several and I can't believe he still working there. He must be the owners brother because if I was the owner, he would've been gone long time ago because you're only surviving with donations, and he's not helping you whatsoever . read more

My brother and my 13yr old son went to donate thousands of dollars worth of items to this place. Well while trying to do so, the black man in the back, I'm guessing the receiving, started being real rude and cussing in front of my son. Probably cause of the amount of stuff they were donating. That still does not give a person to cuss and swear in front of a child. Needless to say I will NEVER donate to another Goodwill as long as I live. read more

I love browsing at the goodwill on North Broadway, Santa Maria, employees are very nice and helpful.

Found a shower chair!!! This place seemed to have more variety of things than the last two I visited. Plenty of books, i picked up a few, some embroidery hoops and a few other knick knacks. The place is neat and organized. The workers are very friendly and engaging. read more

I have been stopping by this location sense November 2019, maybe once every two weeks. And I gotta give it to Rosie ( cute short spikey hair) . Always friendly, kind & patience with the most difficult of customers. Now time for the store ... large parking lot never any parking issues . Always well kept & they play great music. Pretty impressed by this location. Decent variety of clothes and home decor. Like the goodwill up the street, the clothes are priced by section and not individually, which is nice if you find something really good. Found two pairs of Levi's 501s for my boyfriend and they're in nice condition. read more

Really clean and well kept up. Everything is priced at the end of each clothes rack. Prices are high compared to other thrift stores in the area. You will find something here, usually have lots of items for sale and have Senior Day too. That helps. read more

The gentleman at the donation site has got to be the rudest and most unpleasant person and will Never give a donation receipt. I will make sure to to drive out of my way to another site. Went to donate some old clothes and other things to the Santa Maria section. I have never donated to goodwill before but will not do so again in the future. The older African American gentleman in the back was incredibly rude. I walked up to the door and the gentleman raised his hands like "what the hell do you want", I was just coming up to ask him what I need to do in order to donate my things. I then walked to my truck and put my stuff in the bins and left. Don't go to this location, go elsewhere. read more
