This is a tiny location on a shopping strip. Blink and you'll miss it. Plenty of parking around though so no need to worry about that. Since it is a small location, the variety is limited. I did see some brand new items with tags such as a throw blanket. The one thing that irks me about this location is that they DO NOT do color of the day. I didn't realize that was a choice. This Goodwill is small. The aisles are tight. The place is clean. Their prices are on the high side. They also don't have a 50% off color tag. They do give out student and senior discount at 10%. They have their higher end things in locked glass cases. I didn't see much that I would even want to look at. The service was good. The cashier also unlocked the dressing room. read more

Ok y'all don't let the 3 star rating fool you - this place is a gem. Like come on lmao. It's Goodwill! Why are we being so harsh about a place that offers great clothes for the community at a fraction of the cost/that helps us out with eliminating "fashion waste?" I've bought a whole couch for literally $35 - a whole new mini-L sectional couch! I've bought office chairs here for $20 that retail for $100+ I've also bought so many housing goods from more furniture, kitchen stuff (plates and appliances), and small little finds that make a house feel like a "home." My best friend has found designer brands FREQUENTLY here for outrageously low prices! They take student discounts as well - for all of those students (and alumni... iykyk). 5/5! I like this Goodwill store compared to others around the area because it's larger and offers more variety. My recent visit's highlight was a pair of computer speakers for under $20 which was quite a good deal! The staff here were friendly and helpful with my purchases here. Note that if you want to donate items here, you should drive your car around the building to the donation site. You'll avoid having to walk back and forth. read more

Wondered in here while waiting for 3Ten Churrobar to open. As far as Goodwills go this is about standard in terms of store layout etc. I think what each Goodwill has to offer depends on the surrounding homes and what people are willing to donate. Always interesting to see what people donate. There were a lot of bread makers. And if you like high heels, there are some serious high heels in here in terms of height, They have two electric guitars in the front window display that looked exactly the same so either a band broke up or someone's parents get tired of the kids playing guitar in the middle of the night. A neat thing about this store is their displays. They try to be creative in how they position things within the store so that gives a little bit of flair and an almost a retail feel. Arrived on Wednesday with donations and found it CLOSED on a Wednesdays Sign at the Center clearly says closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Worker at back door kept insisting that Wednesday was a not a donation day while standing next to the sign! Hours at this donation center are not reliable. Period. I do not recommend donating things here I brought a full truckload of things to donate and while I was unloading it the man just sat there and pointed where I should put things. But when he moved one of my boxes, I told him that there are breakables and glass inside the box but he just tossed it anyways and shards of glass went flying. This might be the smallest goodwill I have been to. The selection is extremely small, I believe like a total of 4-5 large racks in total and a few smaller racks at the front. I ended up leaving without buying anything (I was looking for clothes for a themed event), so I was supper bummed that I drove all the way here and ended up with nothing. It's located near a market so the parking is vast and easy to find. You can see that the goodwill is small from the outside, but I was hoping that there was more to it inside. It felt a pretty packed when I entered - there were lots of people and barely any room. Aisles are tight and only one person can fit in the aisles if they have their cart, so it's difficult to get by. Selection is very small and it doesn't vary much. An upside to this place was that the workers here seem to really enjoy working at Goodwill. They were so upbeat and smiley. They knew their customers names by heart and you could see that this place is just the friendly neighborhood thrift store. I wish I had better luck here, but it was way too small and way too crowded for my liking. Maybe if I need to find something from a thrift store, I'll come back here but for now, it's a pass for me. read more

I honestly believe this is where all the rejected Goodwill donations end up. I have never found anything good here. Broken unusable household goods, really damaged books, other questionable items, and clothing that even for a thrift store are past their prime. I've been here several times mainly to look at clothes. First off I think it's over priced and yes I realize it's a goodwill. You can find cheaper things at Salvation Army (for example) or other smaller local second hand stores. The clothes they do have tend to be 80s/90s clothes that are ripped up and probably should have never been attempted to be resold. Unless I'm always coming at the wrong time/day of the week I'm convinced the "good stuff" doesn't end up here. Also the one time I tried to get help from a male employee he had zero interest in helping me so we just left. Maybe you'll get lucky here, or you just need a half broken french press. Either way prepare to be disappointed. read more

I think this Goodwill is worth checking out. Although small, it is clean and well organized. They have ample staff, which allows for quick checkout. I have been to places where the lines are so long. It can really discourage a customer to have to stand there waiting to checkout. Their prices are a little steeper than some thrift stores, but they offer military and senior discount of 10% off. When I have come here, I was looking for certain items and that is always a thrill when you find what you need. The last time I was looking for weights to aide in my physical therapy. Wouldn't you know it I found the perfect ones? Yesterday I was looking for plastic bins for my holiday decorations and by golly I found two. Then both times I found unusual lamps. I am a sucker for lamps that are cool and different. I also found two pairs of jeans! Now that is a fluke because I can go to a department store and try on brand new ones and not find any that fit. Pricing is way too high on everything in the store. It's like they think this used and worn down stuff is so valuable. And during covid too, people cannot afford this overpriced used shit. The clothes were so worn and saggy and in poor condition. Some of the clothes smelled so bad I gagged. They would sell more stuff if their prices were reasonable. Every time I go here, they have the same old stagnant stuff; inventory doesn't seem to circulate. An employee (older hispanic or filipino woman with brown and gray hair) was pushing a cart that had a clothes hanger sticking out and almost hit me with it, I had to swerve out of her way. She didn't even apologize, then she did the same thing to my kid almost poled my kid with a hanger. All she had to do was take the hanger and put it inside her cart. Rude. Super annoyed I was really excited when I found a cute pair of shoes for just 99 cents! They were in great condition and super funky. Well as I'm checking out the lady ringing me up tells me "oh, these aren't 99c. Hang on..." comes back and there's now a 9 in front of the 99. After going back and forth on how they should honor the 99c they were marked for. She wouldn't back down. She told me "We're humans we make mistakes" which I agreed with. Still when something is marked at one price you honor that price. Specially when you literally spend $0.00 on inventory. You get your inventory free! I asked the manager if they would honor the price it was initially marked for, but he too wasn't having it. ‍ just know that when you walk in there. I love thrifting- i always find a hidden gem so things like clutter and what not doesn't bother me i mean this IS a thrift store! Tao is an absolute joy to see when i enter the store- she has a welcoming excited energy about her! There's also a elder Filipino gentlemen who works there- he wore a skeleton suit on Halloween- but he is also very kind. Regardless when you go here you will be treated with the utmost respect which is important because how can you really enjoy your shopping experience without that? 10/10 would recommend. read more

I remember coming here way back when I first moved to San Diego, I was in the area shopping with my parents and we popped in here before I moved into the dorms LOL I remember being shocked at the time that Goodwill sold True Religion jeans ha ha I hadn't been in a while and I visited this past week. It's ok. I've only used goodwill for donations. The staff is friendly, but the process of donating items is pretty unprofessional. I donate items a lot and usually drop off at many locations. I absolutely hate that they start grabbing items out of my car without permission. I have addressed this about six times so far. They also have asked me to reprogram my rear hatch so it opens more. That's insane. I come here to donate specific items, not everything in my car, and I do not want anyone reaching into my vehicle. The management at this particular goodwill are willing to defraud you so be warned. They tried to sell a safe with no key or understanding of how to replace it. When I looked up the cost of the replacement, which was more than the safe, they kept to their story about accounting for that despite clearly not having done so. While this may seem trivial, it shows the lack of integrity amongst the management. Double check everything you buy as I can imagine they have and will do shady things. It's unfortunate that a charity such as goodwill has to be associated with dishonest people. Maybe I have too high expectations from my goodwill stores and other thrift stores. This location is teeny tiny. Don't get me wrong, most thrift stores aren't huge sprawling oasis of used clothing and housewares. (or are they?) However, most allow you to walk around with ease and not trap others in the isle as you browse. No furniture, I didn't see any kids stuff, or toys. I'm a frequent thrifter and I was really impressed by how clean the place was. It was incredibly organised as well. They're a bit pickier on their donations I imagine because of the high quality stuff I noticed on the racks. The store is also pretty small--definitely not a warehouse-type store. If you're looking for furniture, ix-nay on this shop. Unfortunately, the store lacks the quirk that most thrift shops have. The really bizarre objects or the garments that one would snag for a 70's party are nonexistent here. In their place are practical items, in good condition, but plain. It's definitely a good 'starter' shop for a beginning thrifter because it looks like a normal clothing store. Price-wise, it's fair--not terribly cheap, but not so expensive that I would refrain from buying anything. Great location, easy access off of Mira Mesa (or through the side parking of Best Buy), and an easy drop off drive-thru. A little annoyed because when I called my spouse to open the trunk of the car in the drive thru, I used the endearment "honey" and one of the workers proceeded to repeat it, in what seemed like a very mocking manner. Compared to other Goodwill locations I've been to around San Diego County, this one's pretty teeny-tiny. And since it's a small location, it's a little difficult to navigate the aisles when there's several or more people shopping as well. No furniture and not a lot of toys, if any. Definitely a larger glass case that houses some of the more higher-end, designer items like jeans and handbags/purses. And it's pretty clean and it's a new location, too. Thrift stores are always worth checking out because you just never know what you'll find. Yea, it's smaller than most of the North County locations. But it's a perfect size for shoppers who don't want to spend hours in a store searching for that ONE bargain. Their selection has a higher standard of quality than most Goodwills, so I found more bargains in less time. The racks are "shopable" and not stuffed to capacity. Everything is organized & clean, and the employees are welcoming. I spent more at this location than any other Goodwill. Lots of A&F and JCrew. I'm not sure how long this Goodwill has been here, but today was the first time I've ever seen it. Squeezed in near the Big 5 in the Target shopping center, this place is small --- but super clean & organized. It's one of the easiest thrift stores to search for that one certain thing you need. The clothes are well organized by color, style & size. I was able to search for & find a 50's style dress, try it on & pay for it within 10 minutes. It really was the best kind of thrifting experience one could hope for. The employees were very nice and helpful. The prices were reasonable as well. $5.99 for a woman's dress in good condition.
