After spending hours digging through five or six thrift stores in Hixson and coming up mostly empty handed, I was delighted find a small rack packed with exactly what I needed - men's long sleeved dress shirts in a variety of colors. As I started making a pile of them for a school play, the lady brought me a buggy. The sweet cashier even gave me a discount for buying 18 of them. Pop's and Granny's Saved the Day and the Play! I wish my photo of the store didn't turn out so blurry. I may drive back over there after the play to show the folks how they helped all the kids look good. :D

It is understandable to have this reaction when not being able to use a dress you bought for a special function. However, you have to realize the no return policy of most, if not all, places is normal. It is also a standard business practice of most consignment stores. I have been a loyal customer of Cottage Closet in Soddy Daisy for at least 10 years. The owner has a wonderful selection of "boutique" clothing and jewelry. She also has consignment clothing, shoes, and purses. She has helped me out several times by keeping an eye out for a special piece of clothing or accessory that I needed. CC's owner has always been very pleasant and honest in her dealings with me. I have never heard her speak rudely to any customer. CC's consignment collection includes formal dresses for homecoming, prom, and middle school dances. When girls come in for dresses, she helps them personally and is very fair in her business dealings. My daughter has experienced this many times. As a small business and consignment store, CC prides itself and their employees on helping these girls find their dream dresses. Her policy of not returning formals is a norm in this business niche. I will be continuing to give her my business long into the future.

My boyfriend was able to get two pairs of ray bans that were pretty much brand new for $20 a pair. There is also an ample amount of designer items here all for well below store prices. Some are pretty worn thus the reduced pricing. I was able to get some great deals on Lululemon clothing for $40 an absolute steal. I recommend checking this store out as it's a unique spot.
