Such a cute little roadside shop had all kinds of different little trinkets in it. I will definitely be back.

This shop was quite the disappointment. Here is what they offer for sale - cheaply made trinkets and clothing gotten from Temu or AliExpress and smoking paraphernalia. The stuff you can't buy - the actual interesting things that are part of their "collection", which also happen to be interspersed among the items that are for sale. I don't understand the positive reviews for this place, it's just a tourist trap selling junk. read more

lots of really old junk, the place is filthy, staff is not helpful at all. Totally missed out on a $200 sale. Probably should be labeled as a thrift store as I saw nothing amish nor hippie related. skip it and go to moodys. The vogon behind the register was less than helpful , not friendly, and totally made me walk out. read more

I was so excited about this stop for at least a month and I couldn't catch it open. I kept coming after business hours. But I'm so dang happy today I got to finally stop. I'm from the biggest Birkenstock jewish stomper, yuppie, hippie town ever being Boulder, Colorado and really don't get to go home but once a month to smell the patchouli oil or see the dread locks. Anyways, I came in the door and right away was greeted from a hippie guy by the name of Mabus. The guy is just a delight to hang out with and talk to for a half hour. He told me stories about how to make soap and how the owner also has a dog. Just charming and clever. Gave me some recommendations for other local stores and restaurants and band locations. They have everything for some hippie in this store. I will be back every week to get something :) read more

Hmmm not sure what I was expecting....? Everything in the gift section is what you could purchase on OrientalTradingCompany. Very cheap goods. I was excited to find handmade soaps as that was advertised... but it just looks like scented bars with food coloring. Very disappointed. :( read more

I have visited this store in the past and they have cute items. I was excited to spend money here today. I actually told my husband while we were walking in, "Don't be alarmed. I plan on spending a couple hundred dollars and stocking up on gifts." I didn't spend a penny, and I won't ever again. I was asked to leave for not wearing a mask. Luckily the gift shop next door at the Smokehouse Lodge was happy to allow me to shop. This is still America. There's always another option in America. read more

I have LOVED going to the Amish Hippie every summer while I'm in Tennessee. They have always had amazing customer service. I think the guy's name is Mabus. I always stock up on the Amish made lotion and check out their Amish Hippie shirts. I always find something:). Today I was very disappointed when visiting. The outside looked disheveled and unkept. I went inside to find about 5 bottles of the Amish lotion one already opened. The whole Amish section was left wanting. The woman who was working was not kind. I asked her when they would get a shipment in and she answered very rudely. I was also disappointed that the clothing was different and looked cheap. I hope I just caught the store on a bad day. I'll call first next time and make sure the rude woman isn't working when I go because I did not want to buy anything after interacting with her. She does not have the right vibe for working at The Amish Hippie. read more

So we had to kill a little time the other day. We stumbled upon this little gem. It's like a head shop, swap shop, and Chinatown got knocked up by Amish town. It's quirky and cool. They have a large collection of clothes but I'm sad to report they don't carry any larger sizes. They do have tons of glassware. I found a really cool bag and a journal. The girl working was friendly and offered me a sample of goats milk lotion.... Ok fabulous! They had so much to look at. I could have spent way more time there. I drove a long ways, making a special trip to come check this store out and they refused to allow me to shop without a mask. I cannot wear a mask due to health issues. I did not shop there, and will NOT patronize any place that tells me I MUST wear a mask. read more

Great, funky little spot for unique gifts to take back home to family (summer dress for daughter) and friends (local jams). Great customer service from Mabus Jackson. Learned after leaving the store that he had performed locally last night! After lunch, returned to the store for more gifts...and an impromptu duet of "Amazing Grace" with Mabus. Ever the gentlemen, he let me sing melody and he covered the harmony. Looking forward to my next trip to The Mountain...and The Amish Hippie! read more

The store offers a little bit of fun. It is clean and smells amazing when you walk in. (I personally love the smell of all the lotions and soaps.) The name is an absolutely perfect explanation of what you will find in side and it is easy to see once inside how the two blend. read more

The is a very cute store. A one of a kind shopping experience! They have all kinds of cute jewelry, Amish items, lots of books to read and really nicely decorated ! I wish there was a store like this near my house. I would shop there for all occasions . We will defiantly come back...the owner said they get new stuff inn all the time!!! I've been to the Amish Hippie a few times, and I've still never seen the advertised coffee and tea...so there's that. This store has a mashup vibe, selling an assortment of lots of different crafty things. They have tons of lotions, which I do like, baskets, jewelry, clothes, and random knick-knacks. The only thing I wanted to purcahse was the home-made goat milk hand lotion. The rest of the stuff was pretty tacky, in my opinion. They sell these skirts that are denim jeans cut and sewn to tie-dye fabric, proudly on display as they're hung from the ceiling. Not my taste, but that's fine. I feel like this business could be strengthened if they had a clearer inention. They sell a mish mosh of products, some you would expect and some that appear out of place. The store front is crafty and cute. It wouldn't be a waste of time to pop in, but I'm not sure if you'd find yourself returning regularly. read more
