Dan merely placed the piece back into the pendulum, took each weight off and put back. Total time on the clock 3.5 minutes. Charge $150.00. I say again, $150. Lesson learned don't use Dan the clock man. Dan's name is now "Dan I will screw you as quickly as I can"

Meaning that the tort of conversion was committed too. When the watches were dropped off I was asked to pay half down and half on completion. However, after completion and conversion the price was $400 more than the deposit. Also charged "shipping" by dropping off the watches when he was in town, when I was not given the option to get my watches before the owner moved. Overall extremely disappointed with the lack of integrity, communication, and honesty. These actions greatly harm a rare skill. But hey, you got your money right?

I have a cuckoo clock that I took in because the music box wasn't working. After charging me too…read moremuch and taking almost a year, I got the clock back. The music box worked for a week before stopping again. I took it back in, and after several months, got it back and the music box stopped working again several days later. This is a fairly large antique mall with lots of vendor booths, it's clean and organized and filled…read morewith mostly what I consider quality items and not so much junk or garage sale items and as you'd expect the prices reflect this. These types of shops are generally a little higher priced due to the overhead and commissions the buildings owners charge for the display space but I'd expect there's still a little room to negotiate a better deal, I always try and bring enough cash to cover anything I may want to purchase while antiquing, I've found cash is still king in this arena and I always offer an out the door price which includes any taxes I leave it up to them to figure that out so flash the cash when you are serious about the purchase and close the deal as fast as possible. This place is definitely worth the time it takes to checkout the inventory, I'd say Crossroad Trading turns over its inventory and has new items arriving daily, remember this is a business unlike the mom and pop shops that are more of a passion for the proprietor to collect than anything else, if it's displayed here they want to move it there's not any kind of attachment to anything here and if they say there is I'd call BS...
