As a recent convert to thrift store shopping, I must say, I'm impressed by this particular Goodwill. I have been to other Goodwill locations and really just kept my hands to myself, worried that I might touch the wrong thing and absorb the staleness of many of the items around me. However, at the Bird Road location, I'm browsing through racks right and left, loading up 10 items on each arm before racing over to the dressing room in a cloud of giddiness over my $5 clothing choices. The first time I came here, I was very pleasantly surprised. My husband and I had been looking for Halloween costumes, and he really worked hard to convince me that thrift stores were the way to go. I finally gave in, and was thrilled to find a very flapper-y dress for $5 that perfected my 20s getup. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to find his 20s gangster look, because all of the suits were size XXXL (who are these goodhearted giant people, donating their castoffs to Goodwill?). We returned another day, just since we were out on Bird Road and trying to kill time (most likely avoiding any real life duties). We parted ways and scoured our respective sections to meet later and compare notes. I always feel sneaky in stores like this, like I'm tricking someone into selling me perfectly good pieces of clothing for $2... "Mwa ha ha! This dress still has the original tag on it, which says $65, and I'm getting it for 5 bucks! I'm so sneaky!!" The employee working the fitting rooms was wonderful. She spoke both English and Spanish, and kept people from cutting in line. She apologized for people taking way too long, but also let everyone take in however many items they had (there's supposedly a 3-item limit). Anyway, at the end of the day, I came home with a cute sweater, 2 going-out dresses, and a tunic top. My husband got 3 pairs of slacks for work and 2 dress shirts. We spent $50 total. We received our purchases in a Destination Maternity bag and ran to the car, hoping no one we knew would see us and start rumors. read more

Yamara was very sweet and attentive. As soon as I walked in she greeted me and made me feel comfortable. She was super sweet with my mom as well. My mom wanted to buy some sandals and was able to get sandals for $1. She asked me to donate a dollar. The store was very clean and had a lot of new items as well. read more

This is the WORST GOODWILL, I've ever encountered. The stuff is obviously picked over and out, by the nasty staff, before it hits the floor. For men's clothing, basically crap. Kitchen ware and appliances.. hardly a thing No tools of any kind. The staff is the RUDEST, NASTIEST, I've ever encountered. Goodwill is Goodwill! Not much more to say, but I suggest wearing gloves to avoid contact with any bacteria. Otherwise, great for thrifting!

The staff is very rude. I told the gentleman to have a nice day and he said "yeah yeah, here's your receipt"

Do not call them for donation pickup of furniture!.. You order a pickup, state what items large and small you have, they gave me a quote for $300, I agreed. When the company that does the pick arrived they wanted to charge $250 more for imaginary reasons just to make an extra profit. I was shocked. Its ether pay extra or they walk away. I decided to clear out my closet of all the items I didn't wear in hopes of them being used by someone else who could appreciate them and give them usage again. I gathered most of the most and separated it into different bags labeled with their category on the outside. Finally, after having them in my trunk for several days I pulled in the back and was greeted by an associate happy to receive my donation. It was quick and effortless and I was back on the road within minutes. I know my pieces will be resold but the funds from those items go towards a good cause so parting with all my stilettos didn't hurt so much. I highly encourage the spring cleaning act to all and donate the items you don't use to this great and humane organization-it's the right thing to do! read more

Very picky about what they accept for donations. Don't bother checking the website or calling ahead - they won't take half of what you bring no matter what it is. Seems to be store policy. read more

Doesn't smell like old clothes - Check with a smiley face! Bilingual staff - Check Hard to find items - Check check ( I found two wedding dresses here, classic ones though!) It was well-organized and staff was attentive. One lady came right up as I peered curiously over the glass cabinet. Got myself a cheap $2 pearl bracelet and a $6 dress for my Halloween outift! (Hell yeah! ) I wanted to "hold" my dress while I go to Salvation Army down the road, but was only given an hour's grace. :( Other than that, I loved the place! Did you ever expect in a million years that some random white dude from West Kendall would wind up with them...... JAJAJA. Ale kelly I just donated clothes n shoes at the Brickell location in Miami Florida and CANNOT believe the conditions you have people working in! Hot water and no fan with an outside temperature of 100F!!! You say you help people but you should consider helping your own STAFF who are in these trucks all day!! I would like to see a change in this and would like some follow up as these are NO human conditions to have people working in; especially when the line of work you do is to help serve others!! read more

After waiting in line for 30 min because their credit card system was down.. I go to the register and the prices are too much!! Over priced! For that you go to the regular store and get something new for just a bit more. Who ever is putting the prices in this store must be on drugs. Yet again they forget they get their stuff from donations!!!!! read more

Came here today to rummage through the stuff. Amazed at the amount of people inside this place. Again the place was well organized and the service was great. The only bad thing about this place is parking. The shopping center has very narrow parking spaces and people park slanted and take up two spaces. read more

This location doesn't have any furniture. The clothes are overpriced especially considering a lot of the clothes have loose threads, missing buttons, and are out of style. The shoes at this location are also super old and they don't have clearly marked sizes which makes it difficult to find shoes in your specific size. I still donate to Goodwill though. read more

The best place to offload unwanted furniture when you gotta move away. This is a large Goodwill and I've donated bags of old clothes, a TV, kitchen appliances, etc. here. Word up, they don't take furniture here. As far as thrifting goes, I haven't burrowed too deeply but I managed to find a Halloween costume here but now that I think about it, this might be the best place to go find my Ugly Betty outfit for Halloween 2007. read more

i don't really shop at goodwill but, my mom loves going so, i decided to go with her last sunday and in the end i came out with some very good buys. if you are a parent of an infant / toddler buy shoes for them here. babies grow so fast and shoes sometimes are a little pricey for the amount of time that they will wear them. so, go to goodwill instead. i bought 3 pairs of shoes for $4.50 and the shoes are in perfect condition. like other yelpers have mentioned this store is very clean and organized but, it does get packed since, its one of the biggest goodwill's. read more

So my first impression of this place was good, it's a huge facility with plenty of stuff to look through. They have a nice clothing selection and tons of home & kids things. The place wasn't too crowded but I didn't notice any prices on anything, which was a bit annoying. Anyway I found a book & a nice top , but when I went to go check out the prices were a bit more than I expected, I mean $3 for a book & $6 for a top? from goodwill? Seemed a little much, but since I really liked both items I shelled out the money. They get one star just for accepting credit/debit cards which is a plus. Oh and another tip, if you don't speak spanish, don't expect the staff to talk to you much. read more

so ive donated to goodwill so many times but only shopped there three times and it was for costume parties or gag gifts. which makes me feel kinda bad when i see people buying christmas gifts for their kids. but thankfully for goodwill ppl are able to get great gifts at affordable prices. i just went in this past weekend to buy some gag gift lingerie. and the store is soo organized as all the other reviewers have said. its impressive. the prices are marked in a small discreet inner lining of the clothes. the checkout line was kind of long, so they called for backup and within minutes another register was open. everything was smooth sailing.. this store is overall awesome! read more

I love coming here! It's always a hit or miss like most Goodwills. I even get a kick out of the elderly savages that run to rummage through containers when a sales associate brings out a cart. I once saw an Hermes bag for $800 read more

i love this goodwill!! the store always has great items and priced as such. the only downfall of this store is the floor employees, who push you and don't ask if you could step aside.....and the customers are rude as f***. other than that.........i really do enjoy coming to this goodwill. read more

The shop is clean and well organized and it has some great pieces of clothing but it merits a low score for one simple but very important reason, their pricing methods. Instead of adding non-obtrusive tags on their clothing when sorting they write the price on the tags and criminally on the clothes themselves in permanent marker. Now, the tags are not bad, kind of annoying but workable but writing in marker on the clothes themselves is a travesty. Some of the marker seeps through the clothes leaving markings that are visible when wearing - totally ruins a perfectly good piece of clothing. I left so many gorgeous pieces because the marker had bled to the outside of the garment. I think they would be able to justify charging more for their designer clothes if there wasn't marker ruining the piece. But I'm not paying more money for a shirt that visibly reads 10D on the outside. Such a shame. read more
