Salvation Army consists of 90% items from the 80s. Perfect for putting together a piece. You can also find great treasures from today's age too! Today, I found a harajuku lovers sweatshirt in PERFECF condition for only $4!! That sweatshirt was worth at LEAST $50 or $60, knowing that company. For those of you who don't know, harajuku lovers is a clothing/accessory/perfume company started by Gwen stefani. So yeah, like i said, TREASURES (designer brands) for cheap. Salvation Army also sells housewares like latte machine makers, lamps, and furniture! Their shoe + purse selection is small. Their clothing is organized by color, size, and type (long sleeves, short sleeves, button down, jackets, etc). They have a pretty big selection of diner ware, which is my favorite section because there's just so many cute random cups and plates! I've never had a problem with this place. If I'm ever looking for something particular such as a Cosby sweater (PS I've had mine for a year and everyone still compliments me on it), black slacks for work, or even something to use for crafting, I can always count on Salvation Army.

I had a huge issue with some short guy named Gerardo he was throwing things at other employees and was putting his hands on customers unacceptable he's short with a short fuse fire him please he incapable of working at a place like this very suspicious man

The items were then given to the people who worked on them or were resold. Goodwill's philosophy is "a hand up, not a hand out". Today Goodwill has become a $5 billion nonprofit organization that provides job training, employment, and community programs for people who have disabilities that might prevent them from getting a job on their own. They are also keeping millions of pounds of items out of landfills every year. This is a very large Goodwill Store on Dixie Hwy. in Palmetto Bay in south Miami. What stood out to me about this store was the incredible level of organization it had. It looked like the Home Edit ladies got their hands on it. I didn't have high hopes when entering because the door was disgustingly dirty but once I stepped inside I was impressed. All of the clothes were grouped by color, shoes were perfectly lined up, everything was by size, type, and in it's place. Most Goodwill's are organized but this was next level. It made me want to go home and tidy up my own closet. I do enjoy exploring a Goodwill but now that I have discovered the pay by pound outlets I tend to prefer the thrill of the hunt there. Still if you are in the area, this is a good store to stop in if for no other reason than organization inspiration.

With plenty of free parking and curated items displayed outside, you instantly get into the shopping vibe before even stepping through the door. The shop is divided into different rooms featuring well-selected items, pants, dresses, shirts, décor, and even Christmas ornaments. There's also a men's section with dress shirts and suits, plus a secluded room with designer clothing that's slightly pricier but definitely worth checking out. What impressed me the most was how clean, organized, and welcoming the whole place feels. The staff is wonderful, and I was delighted to learn that it's a nonprofit organization run by formerly incarcerated individuals, helping support their reintegration into society. On top of that, shopping here promotes sustainable clothing demand and supply. I absolutely love this initiative and look forward to continuing to support them.
