Went in today while driving thru town on our way to sea side wanted to see if we could find anything. found a cool dingy hoodie looked at the tag it said 15 dollars !! I was like maybe 11 would make sense went up asked the big blonde lady at the counter if she would reprice it she scoffed at me said nope I said really and she said !REALLY! and said it's like brand new I said it's thrift store they get stuff for free it's not Marshall's I am not pay almost new prices for things goodwill is getting out of control with there prices it's supposed to be affordable she was rude and looked at me like I was a peasant for asking not happy !! read more

They do not take furniture, but they sell furniture? This place prays on poor people and drastically over charges for things they get for free. Do not take donations here, take to either Habitat or Salvation Army. read more

It was really easy to make a donation. We drove up and they pulled out a cart and excepted our DVD, video game, CD bags of donations. when we have shopped in here everything seemed well organized, and had a system. Everyone was very friendly. read more

Very overpriced and horrible service. Used tees are 7.99 on average and hoddies with stains and worn very bad are anywhere from 5.99-11.99! I've seen items new in store for LESS. When they have colored tag sales they change most items to different color/ I've seen items before at a different color to another. They charged my kids books as adult books ( clearly kids books) and was extremely rude on giving me a refund. Some items not priced ( such as a Walmart bowl I liked) 6.99 she said. I have not been able to find things at this location, but the last I went I loaded my cart. Racks and shelves are overloaded. Not easy to go through. I wish you would stock more merchandise and less new products. I can go to a Fred's or Walmart for that stuff. I cannot believe your restrooms are not open! Seriously, yes we still have COVID, but it seems to me you can send as many germs into the air on the main floor as in a restroom! Do you have a no shopping carts taken outside the store rule? They refuse to open dressing rooms and restrooms. I've asked the management twice when they will be open again. The response was that they will not be opening either one due to theft. In my opinion that is no excuse. All their goods are donated, and they don't pay high wages. I appreciate the fact that the company supports training programs, but I will not shop where I know public restrooms are available, but not being offered to customers. read more

This store is an absolute cesspool of incompetence, filth & mismanagement. Messy, overpriced, damaged merchandise, overworked employees that are most likely not treated right and underpaid. I can find no one with a lick of common sense/retail experience/ customer service skills, on the sales floor. The bathrooms have been shut down indefinitely (ask them about their plumbing problems) the dressing rooms are closed indefinitely ( don't get caught trying something on before paying their exorbitant prices ) the donation center may or may not be open and they may or may not take your free stuff ( that keeps them in a job). All the one- and two-star reviews of this Goodwill made me curious to check it out when we recently passed through Longview. While it's definitely not the best Goodwill ever, I don't think it's as bad as it's made out to be -- if you haven't been there recently, it may be worth checking out again. This medium-sized Goodwill has the older WA Goodwill layout (before they introduced the fitting room cube in the center, which I'm not a fan of). Women's and juniors' clothes in the front, men's on the left side, kids' on the right and housewares at the back, shoes and bags in the center, plus a small books/media section in the front left corner. I found the prices to be pretty typical of WA Goodwill stores, and not particularly high compared to other Goodwills. They do have colored tag sales and discounts on the weekend -- when I was there, it was 50% off green tags and $1.99 pink tags, so deals can be had. The selection isn't huge, of course, but I tried on some Calvin Klein and Ann Taylor clothes that were reasonably priced. The fitting rooms are open and don't require someone to let you in, which is nice. The store isn't dirty and it smells fine, but it is somewhat messy and disorganized. On a Sunday afternoon a couple of hours before closing, the shelves were jumbled with items randomly thrown here and there, and there were abandoned clothes strewn around the fitting rooms. It's not ideal, but it didn't ruin my shopping experience or anything. Overall, it's a pretty typical small-town WA Goodwill store. Worth a visit if you're thrifting in the area or passing through (especially since there aren't a lot of choices in Longview). read more

The employees here have terrible people skills. I tried on something over my clothes and was immediately told I was going to be kicked out for doing so. I didn't know I couldn't try something on over my clothes?? Why not just inform me of the policy? I let them know I had no problem complying and asked if I could hold the clothes up against my body instead. I continued to be approached in a harsh manner from multiple employees even after I was just holding clothes up. The guy working there with the purple hair was incredibly aggressive and rude. Goodwill is an interesting company. They do awesome things for the community as far as offering job training, placement and counseling. They provide a place to donate goods to help others and get tax write-offs. They offer a store to get deals on re-sale products, normally at a decent price. They are making a sound profit, as their new stores (Warrenton, OR for example) are large, beautiful, on expensive parcels of land, and very well laid out. I am sure the "higher than normal thrift store prices" are a part of this grand design. The Longview, WA location is in an old building that is large and has seen better days, BUT they are doing well with what they have and are not spending money gilding the lily. Staffed by very dedicated and friendly staff who are eager to help and professional. Very clean restrooms which is a nice touch for those of us that consumed far too much iced tea with their lunch. This location has a large selection of goods and seems to have a better selection of goods than the newer "Taj Mahal" style stores. Cool selection of seasonal goods (in this case Samhain / Halloween), though some of the items were comparable to Target pricing. Kind of strange, but I suppose it's for a good cause. I do like their flat rate book pricing as opposed to individual pricing at other Goodwill locations. Selection is always changing, so it is a different game each time you come in. read more

I was in town and had to kill some time. Decided goodwill would be a good place to maybe find a bike rack for my car. As i walked in i imediatly got distracted by the low prices on clothes, after i had skimmed the mens clothing i needed a cart then moved onto f I nding a bike rack and to brows so.e more. Next thing u know a gal rushes past me yelling at a girl stating, i am going to call the police. I thought uh oh someones busted. As i then continued to browse i then was aproached a few min later by the police calling staff and another gal and was told i needed to leave the store. In shock i ask what i did to deserve this treatment and all they would do is tell me they did not like my shopping habbits. And if i did not leave then tjey were calling the police. I then asked for managers number and got the store phone number instead. I still am dying to know what habbits i have that got me drivven out. I was at this goodwill in longview wa from 12:30pm to 1:40 pm. This was extremely embarassing as on my way out there were 2 people i worked with there shopping also the parents to a kid my teanager babysits tjat were all observing this. I feel that they were discriminating and caused extreme defimation of character. Dont go to this goodwill and dont expect to be treated at all fairly. read more

This store does carry nice things. But for being 2nd hand their prices are outragous. Exspecialy in the clothing and shoe department. People shop at bargin stores because they cant afford department store prices. I think their prices are way too high for something thats already been worn. I garantee the founder of goodwill doesnt have one shred of 2nd hand anywhere in his home yet has no compassion for the people who made his life that way. read more

The staff here is pretty friendly, but it's hard to find good clothes and brand names unless if you go there first thing in the morning. Still, the store is a decent size and has a lot of women's clothes. Some stuff (jeans) are priced very high. read more

It's a bit of shame when you have to wait to buy a "yellow tag sale " pair of jeans for the cost of new at Walmart and/or Bi-Mart. I kinda suspect that the nicer things that are donated never make it to shelves. One of the worst Goodwills I've ever been in. Messy. They put out stuff that very obviously should be in a trash bin. Often smells like farts. Employees on the floor always in the way and have the idea that you always move for them. Overpriced. I've been in Goodwill stores in various cities and in other states and they were nice, well-organized, pleasant. This one feels like one is digging through a dumpster. Im sad to say this is not a great Goodwill. The prices are unusually high for dirty and overused items and there are not a lot of quality items at this location. They often have furniture but it is old (from the 70's or earlier) and is usually in very bad condition (dirty, stained, broken). The staff is there and they always appear to be busy, but they are not noticeably helpful or friendly. read more

THIS STORE GETS A '0' RATING FROM ME. The Longview, Washington Goodwill store is over priced on its clothing. I mean really, does anyone buy a used 'and sometimes still dirty or stained shirt for $10.' ???? Go to Ross or Target and buy a new one. This is my COMPLAINT!! A friend and I went in because of a sale...%50 of ALL previously owned items. I bought 3 small containers of USED jewelry on Saturday at 1/2 price, normally 14.99. YAY!! I then decide I would like more, so I make the trip into LONGVIEW GOODWILL again on Sunday to get 5 more containers. As I enter the store, there is the sign still up, just inside the door. I pick out the ones I want and I go up to the cashier and she rings up full price, so I correct her and tell her there is a sale for 1/2 price. No she says, that sale is no longer on. Well I say the sign is right there. She says but that was Friday and Saturday. Then why is it still up? She says, "oh someone must have forgotten to take it down?" But there is no sale on it today. I tell her to forget it and leave. I later called the management and am told that "someone must have forgotten to take the sign down, sorry." I told her I wouldn't be back. And I won'T. DON'T BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THE LONGVIEW, WASHINGTON GOODWILL. read more
