Checked out this Goodwill store in preparation of donating some items when we head home from Maui, and I was impressed with how well organized it is, and the great selection. I ended up buying a Maui Country Club pickle ball shirt that looked like new, and the price range up as $6 versus the $9 I expected based on the store signs. Some of the housewares seem over priced, but the clothing was generally a great deal. Always fun to snag a bargain! read more

Goodwill is a hit or miss for me. BRING BACK SAVERS! So today's lunchtime adventure was to Goodwill to checkout their Halloween items. We are keeping it simple at work this year and being cute witches. To my surprise they had an assortment of witch hats and witch headbands. I text my coworkers my finds while I wait in the checkout line then I get up to the register and she immediately tells me that the price on it is incorrect and that it's actually double the price. I reply with "you guys might want to change it or scratch off or take off the prices," she gives me a blank stare like she didn't just hear what I clearly just said to her. I was on a time limit during my lunch break so I asked how many points etc I had on my Goodwill card. I had $5 and some change so I told her it was okay and that I'll just take it and use my points/rewards. I figured why not since I don't shop there that often anyways. Sometimes I score and other times like today I'm disappointed. Oh well. My work costume is complete already (as soon as my top arrives from Amazon soon) Lol! read more

This store is easy to find, the parking up close can be tricky lots of stores around it use same lot. Store has tons of merchandise. The rows of clothes are labeled what is in that row, which I appreciated. They have a few dressing rooms to use. There are lots of household items also. They have boards telling the price of items, I felt the prices were kinda high for used clothes but lots of people had arms full to buy. There are no clerks to ask questions of. I had been told that they offered senior discounts on Tuesdays but found out that hasn't been done for a while. They do have a sign at front that certain color tags are marked down that day. read more

We were driving by and noticed there was a Goodwill store and I can't resist a thrift sesh so we took advantage of the free parking and peeked inside. Mostly clothing, but there is also a small selection of furniture, a good amount of seasonal decorations (Halloween this visit) and kitchenware. I grabbed a can of gold sparkle hairspray which was a steal, so I'm ready for Halloween and Xmas now. I read other reviews saying you can score xmas trees here too so I will visit again early November to see if I can find a tree to spray paint to match my decor. Prices were reasonable, lots of clothing and shoes, handbags n hats, some framed pictures, even a SUP board. There was a good selection of brand new Starbucks cups which were reduced from $23.99 to $9.99 so they are obviously getting old and overstock donated by local stores. There were a lot of clientele sifting through the treasures and the staff were welcoming and friendly. If you are looking for a bargain this is the place to go! read more

This Goodwill is located in the Kahului Industrial area off of Alamaha Street. I often see posts in other groups mentioning great deals on certain items, especially during holidays and that usually gets me through their doors. On a recent trip, I had a holiday event at work and so I stopped by to see what kind of decorations and little knick knacks they had that we could use. I must have gone a bit too late because the Christmas decorations were wiped out and had very few selections left. I did notice a few Christmas trees were left at AMAZING prices though. A 13' prelit Christmas tree for $20? Unreal. I would've bought it if I didn't already have a new tree. They get Target salvage items on either Tuesday or Wednesday so it's definitely worth the trip to stop by after those days. I saw that they had train sets from Target selling for a cool $5 recently which is such a great deal! On certain das you get an extra % off an specific days which could help save even more. They do seem to stock a majority of clothes. I don't need clothes, but I find the holidays and the start of the school year are usually good times to pop in and see what they have. I don't really ever buy much, but who knows maybe someday I'll find that one piece worth $$$. Hehe. read more

A friend was complaining that he tried to donate 10 boxes of goods to one of the Goodwill Stations and the attendant there only took 2 out of the 10 boxes, citing the rest wasn't accepted/good enough. Hearing this, it made me rethink about my past Yelp review about how Goodwill had the opportunity to take advantage of the "power vacuum" that was made when Savers departed around 5 years ago and they didn't do it. And going to Oahu seeing the racks full of goods that many would be tossed to the side for being "bad." So I went looking for a few things and I see that since my last review from 2018, little has changed. For starters, shelves are still bare in some areas, and full of basically "new" stock in others (i've heard Target cast offs, but I wouldn't be surprised if GW is getting stock from liquidators elsewhere). Most of the floor is clothing. And its arranged pretty haphazardly. Trued to find a basic red T-Shirt in XL......XL had a mess of L, XXL, and one section was all M. No variety, stuff marked near retail or above it, and no opinion on the staff, thought I did overhear that the staff seems to be under some ridiculous rules or policies. For a store that sells used goods to fund programs, their failing quite spectacularly. Stop being picky, price accordingly, try to take advantage of the vacuum left by Savers, and get more money!! read more

Only location on Maui and therefore extremely picked through. The home decor seemed to have a better selection than the clothing. I found many new Target items, such as Opalhouse wreaths and felt pumpkins for Halloween. However, I didn't find any of the items I usually try to score: cashmere sweaters, dresses, jewelry, and handbags. Clean and organized. Friendly cashier. read more

Goodwill Maui assumes we are all wealthy! It is so OVER PRICED it hurts. You can find better NEW items at a cheaper price at the ROSS store just a block away. When a certain color is on 'sale' the workers have already started pulling those sale items off the shelves. WAY TOO PRICEY especially as they do not thoroughly check for stains and rips......not really Good Will! read more

The Goodwill Store is changing. I think with the rumors of Ross moving, Goodwill might be amping up to compete for the customers of discounted designer clothing, such as Ross. I say this because the prices are increasing. There was a picture frame for $8 and men's pants for $9. I swear, it was half that, not long ago. I considered Goodwill a good value for most of my broke life, but I have noticed that they are adding shelves, stocking bigger, bulkier Target cast offs (but seriously, who is going to buy ONE high back counter height chair?) and remodeling part of their store, AND, most importantly, the prices are definitely higher than a year ago. I purchased a suitcase, and upon arriving home that it was too big for the airlines to check. The store would give a store credit so that I could look for a smaller one, but it had to be done within 3 days. This was impossible because I was working 12 hour days on disaster response with one day off per week. The staff was unsympathetic and would make no exceptions, even for community service. I would not recommend this place. Furthermore, I have been a frequent donor to Goodwill industries -- but no more. My complaint is more about attitude and customer service than the $26 lost on a dumpster-bound suitcase. read more

Went in for the first time today. Sign said 50% off green tag items. Great! I picked up a few things and got to the checkout and was charged full price for the green tag items. I reminded the lady that their sign said 50% off and after lots of scanning and beeping and tapping the screen she said "they aren't scanning at 50% off do you still want them?" I had to leave because I had kids and they couldn't wait any longer. Also, they have new stuff from target but it's more expensive than what you'd pay at target. A little kids sticker set from target was marked $0.20 on clearance with a target sticker but they were charging $0.57. They also had a lamps and chairs all priced at the same as targets price. I just made a donation and the man who was accepting donations was a huge idiot. There are only quality items and he took two things out of a bag of about twelve nice things he was a complete JERK, he didn't even look at everything. He acted like he knew what he was doing, but it's clear he did not. I've also gone inside to shop and come across really nasty women. I've encountered one or two really kind and helpful people but everyone else acted like they were on power trips. I'll be finding a different place to donate and shop from, from here on out. read more

Unlike all of the other Goodwills I've been to, California, Oregon, Washington , Colorado, North Carolina, and Georgia, where the pricing is reasonable and consistent, this one is not and the selection was poor. I went to drop off several bags of gently used clothing, but they would accept only two bags. I was not a happy camper. They need to post this on their website. I was not willing to drive to Kihei to drop off clothes. If they won't accept more than two bags at a time I will have to go through the clothes and if I don't consider them as gently used then it will go in the trash. read more

Been here a few times and try to stop by when in the area. The last couple of times were disappointed though. They are remodeling inside so it's kinda messy. Also the dressing rooms are conveniently set up near clothes. Although the racks are organized by size. You really need raffle through it to find anything decent. When you do the prices ranged different. Can find a purse the same price as a top. Last visit we bought only two things. Can find decent breast cancer awareness tshirts and/or holiday tees. Usually have good exercise clothes and pajama sets. They also sell cups,mugs,plates, toys, books and the like.I found an old Garfield glass (back in the day) for 99 cent. They just renovated so it's a much more pleasant experience to shop here. Lots of clean changing rooms. Good selection of women's clothing and men's clothing. Household items, toys, assorted what have you. Take advantage of their discounts and specials on different days of the week. Bring in some items to donate, and you can get a 20% off coupon. I seriously love this store. I needed a few dresses for an event coming up. Who wants to spend a ton of money on something that you are going to wear once? Not me. Two dresses for $16? Sold! This Goodwill has a really selection of clothing. Most of it seems next to new in quality. The building is big and spacious and the lighting is great. They are currently doing some remodeling so the dressing rooms are a little off. Every week they have a color code posted when you walk in. If you find a tag on an item that is this color, it's 50% off! If you haven't stopped in here to thrift or find a really great deal, you are missing out. You may find a treasure or two :) read more

Came in here to find a cheap carry on suitcase. We were in luck and found one plus a few shirts and a bikini top. Prices here are a little higher than other thrift stores I'm used to but still cheaper than paying retail. The store itself was clean and employees friendly. Dressing rooms need a little TLC, they all had clothing leftover from prior customers in them, but hey, it's Goodwill. Worth a look if you're in the area. read more

This place is nicely laid out and mostly clothing. What better way to find some Hawaiian shirts, etc., while you are here in Hawaii. Plenty of things to look at and you might find a fun souvenir that you wouldn't find elsewhere. On this day I found an brand new IP bike jersey with new tags on it regular price $50. Goodwill price $4. Unfortunately, that size runs a bit small so I wasn't able to make it work but those are the kind of finds you can score if you keep looking hard. They usually have a color that they are discounting and they will tell you on your way in. Also, any other specials that are ongoing. The day we visited it was 20 percent off of any shoes. Very nice almost brand new items, the lady one the receiving end was rude unappreciative for donations actually acted like I was putting her out for helping. I didn't come there for the tax write off slip I just thought I was helping! I went to this Good Will. This local aunty that does the intake of donations was really sassy. I stepped out car and had 3 bags to donate...Before I even touched the bags she says in a cocky attitude " WHAT YOU GET " I politely said ... "Comforters...3 bags " that's all. Although I wanted to CUSS her out.. This happened twice already as the first time she assumed that my toys I was going to donated was all in pieces as I tried to tell her its only 6 bowling ball pins....she denied my donation not even wanting to listen to what I had.
