2/20/26 around 2pm The cashier was rude. Elder lady with long curly brown hair and glasses. She was all smiles and chatting it up with the white woman in front of me and when it was my turn she was completely silent. No smiles and no greeting. Just immediately asking in a rude tone if I wanted a bag. Didn't bother to inform me about the exchange rules either, but I overheard her explain it to the woman in front of me before she walked off from the register. I cannot fathom having such poor customer service skills and treating customers like that. Imagine if it were one of your family members receiving this kind of treatment. I hope she can learn from that experience and that it won't happen again. The only good thing I can say about this place is that they definitely have a variety of stuff. read more

The hubby was looking for something specific the other day, so we stopped at the Goodwill to see if they had what he was in the market for. They didn't have a lot of household items, the store was almost all clothing. We couldn't find what he wanted, but we did find some party decorations at a good price. Customer service and the lack of quality items are non-existent here. Same goes that falls under the same umbrella with San Joaquin County Goodwill. Probably best just to close up because how does these stores produce any money? They are just taking up space. I am a avid thrifter and works around the Bay Area/Nevada and during my extra time between appointments, I'll jump in to see if a thrift shop has anything good but I was out in 5 minutes. What I found was absolutely nothing valuable and you have a better chance to go Marshalls or Ross. At least the major retail stores, they will accept your return/exchange. There was a new clothing rack that came out of the back and I asked nicely if I can take a look. The employee said no, I have to wait till they are the floor rack. Really? That turns down the customer experience and the potential to a make a sale/revenue. Skip Goodwill in Fresno. Don't waste your time. read more

Went to this Goodwill looking for some clothes for my kids. Had a HORRIBLE interaction with someone named Danel. She was rude and nasty in her demeanor. I can't for the life of me understand why a company would have an employee like this represent their brand. I will never shop at this store again while she is here. I always find great clothing items here. Some home items but since they are increasing prices some items are just better bought brand new. You never know if the items have an internal damage or how long it will last. No refunds or exchanges. I like the Store better than the rest. read more

I just went to Goodwill, path by the puniest smashed a package of toilet paper and just out of curiosity I looked to see how much it cost. It was $2.79!!! The 99 Cents store charges surprise $.99 for a package of toilet paper that has a lot more on the rolls. Goodwill is living in an alternate universe, because their prices are not thrift store prices that's for sure. read more

Went in to shop, found a top that was not marked as special priced, thus their regular pricing. Went up to the register and the lady said oh these should be more expensive, and said they're actually double. I said but the floor pricing is 4.99, and she said yes but because of brand she "knows" theyre supposed to be more. I asked what the managers name was. She said she was the manager but wouldn't tell me her name or the back room manager. SO shady. A charitable donations store that doesn't honor their own pricing, it was very frustrating to have her change the price on me at the register. Shame on this Goodwill for raising their prices and also for not honoring their prices. read more

Store manager is horrible. Her name is Danel or how ever you pronounce it or spell it. Treats her employees as if they are her enemies or something worse. No respect towards the customers and is never insight when employees need her around. Worst management I have ever come across. Won't be shopping there till she's fired. Usually my experience here was really great and really enjoyable but the past few times that I've been coming recently here has been horrible due to the management there. I've never seen management speak to their employees the way that this woman did when I was there . It's really embarrassing for the employee. Honestly, I feel like management should take crash courses how to manage the store and atleast show the employees some type of ground morals . An employee told me her name was Daniela . Worst shopping experience ever! First time going to goodwill, I let my 1 1/2 toddler pick out whatever she wanted. After walking around she found a doll on the back shelf and so we said okay. She was so excited. Then we go to pay and she excitedly puts it on the counter to pay and then the cashier lady couldn't find a tag on it and told us she couldn't sell it. We offered to pay $10 which was clearly what it would be full price and she still said no. We left with a heartbroken little girl. I will never be back & I hope that cashier feels proud of herself. She didn't even bother looking it up or trying anything other than saying no. We just left Walmart with the exact same doll for $10 brand new! read more

I really enjoy shopping at the goodwill at this location because I have a large selection of jeans. It can be difficult to find Levis jeans. Something that we take for granted. But they make for the best cut off shorts! They hace a small selection of home goods. The jeans are not arranged in any particular order other than small medium and large. So be prepared to have to dig through to find what you want. I have found a few brands that I know will fit me. And it $5 a pair, you can't lose no matter what. I just find this place lacking for the price that they ask for some things. I still found a cute work dress for H&M though for only $4. They also close the fitting rooms at 7:30 and start turning the lights off. In my opinion, they should not do that until 8. If you close at 8, close at 8, not 7:30. It's just better customer service. I understand it is rude to come in 10 mins before closing but an hour before and they are already pushing you out? Kind of rude. read more

I have to agree with some other reviewers and say this place is extremely overpriced for a "thrift store" You might as well just turn this place into an actual legit clothing store with how high the prices are for things. Even on days where things are "1/2 price" you still end up paying $3 or $4 for a USED shirt! It's very clean .. I'll give them that, but other then that, I don't like this place one bit. After work, I decided to check out the new Hobby Lobby, I loved it, but I have too many things at home. Then, I decided to hop over to this Goodwill across the way. I always go to the Clovis one and always find good finds there. I hate to admit this, but I NEVER walk out of Goodwill empty handed. Well, I go to this one and find Nicole Miller plates that retails for 9.99 used and $19.00 new. There were so much gorgeous dinnerware. I had to stop myself from buying them all. I also bought 3 baby clothes for my dog, a dkny collared shirt, a Nike jacket and a granimals thermal. All it costed was $11 altogether. The cashier was also very nice. If you are looking for dinnerware to upcycle or even to decorate, this is the thrift store to be! Very cheap. read more

Walked in to a goodwill for the first time in many months. I was horrified at the prices. 165 dollars for a wooden deck chair? Seriously who is pricing these things? Everything is overpriced. Don't waste your time in stores like this. It's all about corporate greed now. 25 dollars for a pair of used shoes! No thanks. I will take my business elsewhere. I thought they were very clean and all of their prices were very reasonable. I happened to go on a day when everything was half off. I couldn't find vintage clothes that I liked but I got an awesome blanket and a French Press that looked brand new for less than $5. Sure it takes a while to go through all of their racks and you might not find what you're looking for but it's a thrift store. Totally worth it. Although their music sucks...it's all Christian music. Definitely gonna give them a CD next time I go in, just so customers can have something fun and politically correct to listen to as they shop. read more

I just moved back to Fresno from Washington (state) and wanted some cheap toys and a pair of khaki slacks so we stopped in. The toy area was a joke (not to mention outrageously priced), and I was hopeful when I saw everything beautifully color coordinated in the clothing section. Unfortunately, that was the only way it was coordinated. The tags are difficult to read, the prices are high, and they aren't sorted by sizes even though each rack has the S M L sections. I tried to look through each pair of pants, but after about 15 minutes of searching through a small section I was irrritated. My son also had to use the facilities and they refused to let him use them (even though we were purchasing items). What a huge disappointment on so many levels. read more

Why oh why, do they not have the clothes assorted by size? There is only one area with shirts that are indicated by sizes. The rest of the store, not. Also, please clean up your dressing rooms. Floors are filthy with nowhere to place your purse and no mirror. Ended up leaving with no purchases since I'd be there till next year trying to weed through the sizes. I've been shopping here for a few years and I have seen certain items go from dirt cheap to almost full retail price with some items! It's ridiculous because most of them are used! I don't understand why this is though I do occasionally score some good finds still.
