There are so many more thrift stores then we have time for. This was a favorite from the last time we went thrifting. I'm not aware if they have a bathroom, but they do have several dressing rooms. This had become a novelty. The dressing rooms are on the outs these days. This store has mostly has clothing so they really need the dressing rooms. When you enter the store they have a sign saying what color tags are on sale. Green Tags were $1 and White tags were 25% off. There were other colors, but those are the ones we got deals on. I searched the store and found several items that look try on worthy. Not everting I tried on I got as some just didn't fit or look good on me. I walked out with a Limited grey sweater with rhinestones around the collar for $1. A pair of tan pants for $1. It's the same brand and style of some of the other pants I have at home. At home I realized that I had a darker tan pants so I really didn't need these, but for $1 you really can't pass them up. Then I got 2 pairs of black slacks. They have some stretch to them at the same time looking work ready. They were on full price for under $7 each. My mom found a pair of jeans with a white tag so it was 25% off and was under $6. Out of all the thrift stores we went to on this trip we found the most items here and we got the best deals. I highly reccomend this thrift store if you are looking for clothing or Christmas decor. They also have had a whole rack of Christmas clothing from sweaters to Pjs.

St. V's usually has quality furniture, well made. This store has square footage and volume. A vast inventory. As generations arrive and leave, thrift stores contain the remnants. Lots of furniture is the pressboard, particle board and veneer of the 70's-2000's. There were still some great finds, oak, a very nice likely mahogany table, 2 leaves, with a coat of paint. Another good dining room set. A cool old dresser and mirror. Our place is too small, 700 miles away and full of quality old furniture. Not necessarily matching, but quality. We left with four items, two of them sealing glass jars, able to hold about four cups of ? each. Ours are raisin jars. We like wooden hangers, found a bundle for two dollars. We had been at the Pendleton Woolen Factory and seconds store the week before. We found a nice Pendleton Branded (therefore expensive) quilt in a belted package, unused, $14. Not wool, a weather resistant quilt, great for a car blanket. Would we return? Yes.

Downtown

A Safe Place with So Much Support!!…read more Sacramento Loaves & Fishes is a community center providing free meals and basic services to people experiencing homelessness. Really impressed by this place. The staff are very friendly and responsive, and the facility feels clean and safe. There are security guards around the campus, which makes it feel well monitored. I noticed they call the people they serve "guests," which feels like a small but meaningful way to show respect and help restore dignity. Many people were resting and sleeping at Friendship Park, and there's a separate entrance for families to get a hot meal without having to answer any questions. I love that they intentionally accept no government funding and rely on donations and community support to keep their services barrier-free. They offer much more than meals, including showers, clothing, medical and legal help, a school for unhoused children, and even a daytime kennel for pets. Glad I got to learn more about this organization and support their work. If you're looking for a place to volunteer or give back to the community, definitely check them out.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BEING ABLE TO SERVE OTHERS!…read more Being able to serve the families that come here is a real blessing. Don't get me wrong... I enjoy receiving things, but giving is way more rewarding in my opinion. The kids that smile and say thank you, the warmth and the love... it's a WHOLE VIBE! If you've never had the chance to do this before, I would HIGHLY encourage you to come out and do it! The families get to eat for free (you can't beat that), and they give enough food for everyone to get their fill. All of the employees and volunteers work very hard so that the people who show up know they are appreciated no matter where they are in life. Gotta sign up well in advance if you want to serve! Anyways... I love it and will be back once again next year!

I like going to the men's section most times because I have got some nice costume outfits for different events. . I like the home and decor section as well. I like finding nice dinner ware plates and nice drink wares. . Overall if you have a chance to be in the area don't forget to come check this place out. Thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day!

The ones they have are beautiful landscapes, but too many pieces for our liking. I was looking for some 100 piece puzzles for my girlfriend who had a stroke. She is getting stir crazy and wants something she can do that is doable under the circumstances. My mom and I like the 300-500 piece puzzles and not landscapes as they are too hard. My favorite types of puzzles are art renderings by country artist. The ones with the little towns and the white picket fences. That's my style. Clothing collection is small. I did found one top I liked and a sweater that was a possibility. In the end I didn't get anything. The only thrift store we left empty handed today. Though if we weren't going to another thrift store I may have gotten the top as I don't want to go home empty handed. I did find a better top at the next thrift store. Good news they have dressing rooms. That will give it another star. In our experience dressing rooms are becoming rare. They had a specialized bicycle for $250. Nice bicycle. They had another one too, but I didn't get a good look at it. Parking is plentiful. They share a lot with the shopping center. They don't have any public restrooms. I suggest you go to one of the restaurants in the parking lot for lunch and use their restroom. September 30, 2026 we returned. You never know what you'll find. This time was a success. I found a couple of tops that I liked, but when I tried them on they were a no go. On the other hand they had a nice Hanukkah snow globe I got for $8. I rarely see Hanukkah stuff so I grabbed it. It will make a great Chanukah gift. We also found some clip on sun glasses. My mom misplaced her on this trip so we needed some replacements. These were reg $14.95 and were sold for $2. What a deal. Now she can have one in each car. In addition these fit so much better then the ones she misplaces. The ones she originally had were round and these are oval just like her glasses.

Out of the various thrift stores in Sacramento and the surrounding areas, "Noah's Ark Thrift &…read moreGift" has got to be one of the cleanest places I have been to. Located directly on Watt Ave (and just south of Whitney Ave) in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood of Sacramento, this place has been operating since mid-2024. Prior to them vacating this space, this was once a furniture store with other various businesses before that including a dollar store and video game store. Hopefully Noah's Ark will stick around for quite awhile. A little bit of backstory about this company; the money and revenue that is generated here helps support the ministry in Ukraine which helps families of the soldiers that have had to serve the frontlines. This includes fallen heroes as well as soldiers who have had to endure losing limbs that have to face very intense rehabilitation after their service in the Ukrainian military. To me, this is a huge impact when I know my money is going towards a very positive cause. The exterior parking lot has more than enough space as the two separate times I have been here, finding a spot to park has been a breeze. There are also several other small businesses that share this parking lot. As for the thrift store itself, the place is absolutely clean to a tee. Upon entry, I was greeted by the young man behind the counter. Store hours are very generous as they are open for business Monday-Thursday from 10am-6pm and Friday-Saturday from 9am-7pm while being closed every Sunday. As for the inside of this place, everything is laid out exceptionally well. You will find a huge assortment of glasses, kitchenware, vintage and near-new clothing/apparel, jewelry, books/CD's/DVD's, solid wood furniture, and much more, all in very excellent condition. The cleanliness and organization of Noah's Ark really shows how much care and thought they put into their business. During both my visits, I found a name-brand shirt and some very nice kitchen items that looked nearly brand new and at reasonable prices. With generous hours, friendly service, and a nice variety of great finds, I am giving "Noah's Ark Thrift & Gift" a unanimous five-star rating.

Deseret is great go to for basics. Need some new jeans, a blazer, mens shirt, etc? I always check here first because they have a large array of things & sizes. My guy is tall, so we have a harder time. I also always check for blankets & fabric, as well as office supplies. Yep, for my home office. The outside area is an adventure, you never know what you will find. A few weeks ago I came for shorts and found a painting! I used to find great clothes, but sadly Deseret is getting so much "plastic" donations. Shein is taking over. I sew, so I would always find some great pieces to alter to my size & liking. The mens section is still good, but the womens is thin. Parking is always easy. The store is very clean, and Managers are very approachable for questions & pricing (the ladies, the men always seem stressed out and not so approachable. Just my opinion). The prices have gone up a little, but are still very good. My daughter lives in LA, and we always stop in when she is here. A Sacramento gem.

A place that helps the homeless, hats off to everyone that works here…read more This ignorant review talking about how "If a man doesn't work, he doesn't eat" is BEYOND any other stupid review I've ever read. Unlike that person below, I've worked and feed homeless people on through the holidays. I talked and spoke to them about their lives and how they came to be. Yes, most of them were drugged out but when you take the time to hear their stories, only then can you understand. For example: A man I spoke to was in tears telling his story, his wife was the breadwinner of their family. He was the caretaker of their home and family. She left with the family and got in a fatal accident which left him scrambling to maintain their house and cars He lost everything....house, cars, and his whole family. Being the caretaker of the family, getting a job at 50 is hard with limited employment (since he worked on the house and family all the time) When someone is depressed and living on the streets, its just a matter of time before that person is easily convinced, drugs will take the pain away. That goes for emotional and hunger. Places like this give broken people a chance. Whether its from unfortunate events or very bad choices. Yes, some are far from being healed and recovered but you start giving up on those people, you'll end up giving up on everyone. Dumb comment below - think about it - your scared of criminals and drug addicts. What if places like this didn't exist? They have no drugs and they are starving....where would they go? Oh yeah, that's right, to your back door breaking into your home. Clearly your so naive, your more of a problem to our society then these homeless people.
