SCAM / SHAM COMPANY…read more We paid a $3000 retainer for our wedding. Which was never refunded. Tara has an EXTREMELY poor attitude and a long reputation of poorly talking to clients either in person or on social media. She insists that she has FULL CONTROL over your event, and we never allowed to pick or choose the flowers for our own wedding. Instead, we were told that she buys items in bulk, and "I can't control Mother Nature". Our wedding is on a Sunday so it was obvious Tara was only planning on using scraps and left over items from the weddings before ours. After all, she ONLY buys in bulk to do a handful weddings at a time. He emails were very negative and for a person who should be the happy flower vendor is only full of negative comments. We told not to talk to her and let her do her own thing. Just roll over and pay her with no idea what we paid for. We NEVER received a written plan and details of the florals she was planning. As far as an itemized list and pricing, IT NEVER CAME. There are plenty of other flower vendors to choose from that will be transparent with you and work WITH YOU. Tara on the other hand wants to be paid thousands of dollars without a plan, details and to be "left alone" to do whatever the heck she wants to short cut so she can line her pockets with money she historical over charges for. She is being sued.....

Not worth the thousands of dollars that were spent. The contract was not followed. When we brought…read morethis to her attention, she handled it extremely unprofessionally. We kindly asked for a refund, due to we were charged for items, that we did not receive. She refused. Some aspects were done amazingly, others were a joke. Barely the bare minimum was done. My Bouquet ( the bride) was not what I expected, or what we talked about prior to my wedding. Tara has a reputation of talking poorly of brides on her social media. So I would not be surprised if I'm her next victim. The following are just a few examples of what went so very wrong. Which, could of easily of been fixed by Tara if she actually followed through with the contract. - The best man's boutonniere needed to be fixed several times before the ceremony. It was falling off during the ceremony. It completely broke before the wedding reception. - The groom's boutonniere needed to be fixed before the ceremony. It also broke before the reception. - The father of the bride's boutonniere started falling apart and needed to be fixed. - The mother of the groom's wrist corsage fell apart before the reception. - The mother of the bride's wrist corsage also started to fall apart. It was not done how we discussed it would be, with Tara , prior to our wedding. - The mother of the bride , corsage Tara made was 3 buds glued to an ivy leaf, which was glued to a wide satin ribbon. Which fell apart prior to the reception. - No boutonniere made for my brother. It was a corsage instead. We asked Tara for help fixing this mistake. To which she replied and I quote "no". We had to make the corsage into a boutonniere an hour before the wedding ceremony. Tara was told of the errors that were made, the day of my wedding. To which she had no solution, and we were left trying to figure it out on our own. The quality we were promised was not fulfilled. We were left greatly disappointed. The talent Tara has is amazing, but corners are cut. The potential is there, but the poor attitude and AWFUL customer service is not worth it.

Bottom Line: Charming historic stone house and barn with all sorts of furniture, home decor,…read morewomen's clothing, accessories, lighting and such. The Olde Mill House Shoppes is two different buildings - the old stone house and an old barn - that have a wide selection of stuff that women love to shop like rugs, furniture, lighting, home decor, kitchen gadgets, pantry items, women's clothing and accessories. They also have a floral department that I think makes wreaths. My favorite part of the shoppes was the old stone house. Aside from admiring the lovely architecture I enjoyed looked at kitchen gadgets, kitchen decor, pantry items like bread mixes and such. I loved the creek of the floors too. It was a very charming experience. A lot of the furniture was definitely in the Shaker and colonial styles. The lighting section was amazing. Lots of early American inspired design lighting. I wasn't in the market for lighting so I moved on to other things. The rug section was fun to peruse. I saw they sold one of my favorite brands - Dash and Albert. They also had a lot of braided rugs. Regarding the clothing section in the refurbished barn, it wasn't really my style but it seemed like there were some regular customer in there having an absolute ball shopping for some new outfits. It kind of reminded me of the fun, comfy and colorful styles you might find at Chico's. Aside from the above, there was plenty more to look at like some linens, wall art, candles, etc. Overall, this was a fun place to explore and a great place to stop in while in Lancaster County.
