Fabulous chocolate shoppe and their candies don't leave that weird, waxy after-taste in your mouth. It's worth the drive.

I'd give it 0 stars if I could! Worst tasting "chocolate" ever. Nothing like the Kennard store. Disappointing.

The candy store has been sold and the store in Kennard has closed. New owners and they moved. Candy isn't hand dipped anymore.

It is in the town of Kennard and it seems like you missed it, but it is in an unassuming house on the corner with a fun front porch.

I love puns, especially sophomoric jokes, and this is the place for it. The fun begins in the parking lot for being greeted warmly inside by a "Welcome to Uranus." There is hilarious merchandise everywhere. Don't forget about the fudge, which is fantastic. There is a separate building for the ice cream parlor (be sure check out the Egyptian themed bathroom). They also have a mini golf course, playground, and multiple photo opportunities. My husband and I had intended to go for half an hour and ended up staying two hours. Uranus Fudge is super fun and comes highly recommended!

We've driven by the signs for this idiot place on I-69 probably 100+ times and have always said "We need to stop one of these days." Well, we finally did... It's in the middle of damn nowhere and cheesier than Chick-Fila macaroni and cheese, but kitschy and as much as I hate to admit, it was kind of cool. They got us for $60 on over-priced and overrated fudge and other BS products that the "self-titled" house boss wanted, but it was an entertaining lil place right off of I-69. Would we go again? Probably not, but our stop was alright... If you need to take a leek during a road trip and want a little entertainment on the side, check out Uranus Fudge (because according to them, "The best fudge comes from Uranus").

The space is much larger than it appears since it occupies the building to the west of the entrance as well as even more space to the rear. It's one of those shops that you wind around from booth to booth while hearing religious music blasting out in each room. The quality of what you find here varies greatly from booth to booth. Some specialized and had items like vinyl albums, or railroad themed items, maybe some Christmas related items. Other booths sold things like refinishing paint or toys. And some looked like what you might find at a garage sale...a little bit of everything that they no longer wanted. The shop also features a candy store in the first room beyond the main entrance. Not sure why candy is sold at a shop like this, but there were two staff seated here, so I assume it must be a draw of some sort. I will say that if you are someone who enjoys browsing and looking for a bargain, this is worth checking out. I definitely found it more appealing than the shops to the east at the Galleria. But I didn't see much that I would consider Antiques or true vintage. Review #3557

My SD was not causing any problems, he walked by my side quietly the whole (almost) 2 hours in there. The woman that kicked us out WATCHED us walk in (while she sat and smoked right by the entrance) and so did multiple other employees. Not one word about my German Shepherd, not one. I understand "no pets", but no medical equipment (that's what a service dog is)?!? I could understand if he was acting up, not a peep out of him though. And why let me make it through your whole store and when I'm just about ready to leave then someone speaks up?!? So again if you want to be treated like a toddler go here, if not RUN the other direction. I don't care if it's store policy, FEDERAL LAW and the ADA cover Service Animals in ALL places EXCEPT sterile environments. I can definitely tell you that this place is definitely NOT a sterile environment. I will NEVER set foot in there again and will make sure my friends and family don't either. The woman that kicked us out was so immensely rude and she tried to talk over me when I was explaining my rights as someone that requires a Service Dog. She didn't want to be educated on the laws, she wanted to cause a scene at MY expense. NEVER AGAIN.

All the cupcakes were moist, and a great flavor; too often when you visit bakeries they have frozen the cupcakes and I can always taste that. These were fresh! I love that they chose a downtown location in a historic building and left the safe in the wall. We got a German chocolate cupcake, which is chocolate cupcake with caramel and coconut-pecan frosting. It was big enough for two people, for sure. The Cookie Monster cupcakes were cute, and there were also cupcakes that looked like sundaes, plus a lot of other flavors, like strawberry cream, pina colada, cherry, M&M and others. Along with cupcakes, you'll also find ice cream, pie and cake slices, cookies, bulk candy, and a whole two walls full of packaged candy, including old fashioned candy like Pez, Chuckles, wax lips and other novelty sweets. This is a sweet and charming little store for all things sweet, located in a vintage-looking building. Parking is on the street or in the small free parking lot a short ways away.

It's a candy and snack joint! You will definitely find something for everyone here. Hoosier Cupboard is located in downtown Franklin, in a cute little house that also looks like a train depot. Across the way is some sort of train thing, so I'm sensing a theme. My children got an ice cream cone (Blue Moon) and a scoop of chocolate ice cream in a cup. They have kids' sizes, which is appreciated. I am not an ice cream person, so I got two hand-dipped peanut butter cups, one for each hand: one milk chocolate, and the other dark chocolate. Both were delicious! We ate our treats at a table on the outdoor patio. There is lots of outdoor seating, and zero indoor seating. So, your options are to sit outside or get your goodies to go. The people who work here are polite and patient, which is also appreciated. You know how it goes when you visit a sweets shop with kids -- they can't make up their mind about what they want. But the people behind the counter were very kind and waited with the utmost patience while my children made their decision about which ice cream flavor to choose.
