I started with the lobster egg roll as my appetizer, and it was so delicious. The flavor of the egg roll was rich, and the sauce had a sweetness that paired nicely with the lobster. The crust crackled perfectly with each bite. For my main dish, I had the cheesesteak sub. The steak was incredibly savory, and the bread was grilled to perfection with a great crust. My friend ordered the pineapple chicken hibachi, and it was just as delicious. The homemade Aggie sauce was light with a wonderful balance of sweetness and tang. The service was great, with friendly staff who offered recommendations when asked and even shared the story behind the restaurant. The ambiance inside the restaurant outshines the outside appearance and location. Tucked between other businesses rather than right on the highway, this place is a hidden gem that should not be missed!

But when we walked in, four people were waiting at the counter with no staff in sight. We stood there for about four minutes until one of the customers told us that only one man runs the entire place. My wife suggested we leave, and honestly, it wasn't an easy decision since we were out of town and had already spent time researching where to eat. We decided to give it one more minute. A guy finally came out and seated our group of six. We even asked if he could manage serving us without getting overwhelmed, and he assured us it wouldn't be an issue. The restaurant is small--maybe room for 15-20 people--and most of their business seems to be takeout. People were constantly coming and going. We placed our order, and it took about 15-20 minutes. The biggest problem: they can only cook three meals at a time because their grill is small. That meant three of us got our food while the other three had to sit and wait. Not ideal. However, the food was excellent--rich flavor, great quality, and clearly the reason their takeout business is booming. Just a heads‑up: "fried rice" here means plain rice. No vegetables, no egg. Those cost extra. They included taxes when calculating for tips.

Good reason to come back. Started with prickly pear margarita with mescal. Yum! Had a white wine after. It was ok. My friend and I shared 4 bruschetta's- smoked salmon and pesto, artichoke, caprese, and apple, Brie and fig. Favs were smoked salmon and apple and Brie. The fries were amazing. Salmon board was good too. The bread on the board was much better than the bruschetta. Ambiance is great. Service as well. Will be back!

Their roast beef panini is on par with Portillo's a long standing Chicago beef restaurant (IYKYK). I've NEVER had a beef sandwich that was better than Portillo's but Postino you managed to take a hometown classic and elevate it to a point beyond my expectations - if you get this sandwich I recommend getting it on the ciabatta bread versus focaccia. Let's not overlook the tomato soup - it's so rich and flavorful. For a lighter lunch my go to is the tuna panini with broccoli salad. They are known for their boards, I've not had the bruschetta yet but it looks delicious. My favorite board is the hummus. One thing I hate is when a restaurant gives you a big bowl of hummus and not enough pita. That is not the case here, you'll get pita, toasted bread, and a variety of vegetables to scoop up the velvety humus covered in cherry tomatoes, red onion and feta. For date night enjoy a Violet Femme a gin cocktail that tastes as lovely as it looks. The service here is top notch! Everyone is fantastic. I'll have to come back to this review to note the serves names we've had because they have all been exceptional. Now let's talk about the vibe! Postino's nailed the indoor/outdoor feel. Plenty of windows that are open on nice days, plants galore and the decor gives you a cool like rockstar but classy feel. 5 stars doesn't feel like enough.

I heard some people next to us complain about the wait time for their food but given how busy it was, I don't think it was insanely long. We sat on the porch and it was really nice dinner! Will definitely be returning to try other menu options!

The NY Strip arrived more than well done, so we told the waitress and she apologized and sent it back to the kitchen. As I was eating the meatloaf, I noticed an off taste and texture. I looked closer and realized it was still pink/slimy/raw! How can meatloaf be raw? It's supposed to be fully cooked first and then grilled. Whoever sliced it from the "loaf" should have noticed it was not cooked before throwing it on the grill! We notified the manager when he came to apologize for the NY strip, so he took the meatloaf back to the kitchen. When the NY Strip came back out, my husband cut into it and it was shiny and purple inside, from top to bottom...absolutely rare. The waitress agreed it was rare and took it back to the kitchen again. When it came out for the third time, it was perfect (third time's a charm, I guess?). The only saving grace was the kind waitress who felt awful about the sub par food. The kitchen put her in an uncomfortable position, but she handled it with grace. We ordered the chocolate torte for dessert and it was very good, but that's the only thing I'd return for.

It offers breakfast and lunch for the desk jockeys working there, which is convenient. They have your egg-and-meat type sandwiches for breakfast (toast, English muffin, or croissant) and sandwiches and salads for lunch, with a different soup on a rotating basis. They also offer a special every day, which a lot of my coworkers really enjoy. I heard a bunch of them rave about the veggie melt, which I still haven't had a chance to try! Anyway, there are your typical deli sandwiches, plus several mediterranean (vegetarian) options, which is great for me! There are a couple sides, like fruit salad, tabouli, and stuffed grape leaves. It's a pretty good deal, with sandwiches around $5-7. A cup of soup is just a few bucks! They also carry drinks and some snacks, and always have a couple baskets of brownies and bars to satisfy your nagging sweet tooth.
