Charming, exceptional service, and just an overall gem. Even though it's the winter season - and thus only the main shop really contains plants or anything to purchase - the selection of plants was surprisingly diverse. I found a number of itty bitty plants that were on my wishlist, and they also happened to be the perfect size for me to snag a few extras to give as gifts to colleagues. Wonderful plant options at a fantastic value. (I also snagged the last "boobie cactus" - and yes, that's what it's usually called, lol - and now a couple of my colleagues are all excited about propagating from it.) It doesn't hurt that when I first arrived to the shop, I was adorably greeted by a gentle giant of a dog named Henry. I made sure to give Henry plenty of pets and face smooshies, and then he happily trotted off to the back office. The folks here genuinely care about their customers and providing an exceptional experience. I can't wait to visit again when the weather is a bit warmer and the grounds are opened up a bit more. :)

The shop is small, but it is decorated so cutely! Seriously stylish aesthetics. I especially love their flower wall, which they said they made themselves. There is a good selection of candles, many of which have sassy names like Cereal-ously Delicious and That's What She Said. I went with one called Momma's Kitchen, which smelled like warm cinnamon cookies. Candles were a bit on the pricey side compared to some other local makers, however I don't mind spending to support local for special occasions that require gifts every now and then. The staff was also very kind. Admittedly, a bit out of my range to buy regularly but a fine occasional splurge.

They have my preferred needles- the super speedy stainless steel ChiaoGoo circulars, in just about every imaginable size and cable length. They carry lots of quality yarn, host trunk shows for artisans, and have local made products for sale- such as the bright pink skull stitch marker I picked up when I was last there. The shop itself is beautiful- bright with natural light, spacious, modern, and comfortable. The work they have on display makes me want to become a better knitter. I hope to take one of their numerous classes in the future. Knitty Gritty is very responsive on social media and their website is as great as their physical space is. There is a private parking lot which is sizable.

I am across the country, and depend on their integrity, and have not been disappointed. And in one case, they suggested that they would be more comfortable selling an item to someone in person who was able to directly evaluate condition issues (tho priced accordingly) on a piece, and I appreciated that as well. Always one of the best selections of material in this field, both quality and condition. Helpful answering questions not related to sales too! Not inexpensive, but always great items worth seeing and considering if "Arts & Crafts" is you area of interest.
