Very good food and very good service. Very clean tables and the whole business is great

This is what passes for a meatball sub today. No sauce, dry as a freaking bone. And when I called to complain, whoever I spoke with (I'm assuming was a manager), didn't seem to know what to do. She said she could just talk to her employees but she didn't know if she could give me a replacement sub. Really? You're not going to give me a replacement? It's that much of a moral dilemma? When she finally said the best she could do was put me down for a replacement, and I gave her my information, she asked me when I was picking it up! Don't mention the fact that they closed 5 minutes prior, so she was asking me when in the next few days I would come by to get my replacement sub, as if I'm on a timetable. So what probably happened, is that I got there a few minutes before closing and they were probably out of sauce. So instead of telling me they couldn't make it or just heating up some additional sauce, they gave it to me dry. And none of this really adds up because as she mentioned,and I already knew, is that the meatballs are always in the sauce. This place is a f****** joke. read more

At 5pm all the chairs are on the tables. There were 2 employees. We decided to go through the drive through. We ordered the ultimate clubs. There was barely any meat on them, no cheese or bacon. My husband asked for light mayo and mustard and his was overly thick with both. This will be our last time going here. We have been there 4 times and there's always been a problem, but this was the worst. read more

We have been fans of Goodcents subs for years. We often order treats for football parties & family gatherings. Always 5 stars. But that was the south location which is now closed. However, this location has struck out with us. Ordered 2 large sub trays, one online and one by calling in to add. Ordered, and paid for, pickles and black olives. Also asked for paper plates (it's an option on site and they asked on the phone) However - I get home to find no pickles, no olives & no plates. Pickles & olives were just $2 extra & plates were free. But now I have to pay $20 more to get them and I am out the $6-8 too. Not worth being angry but it's the principal. I called to tell them & heard no more back. I guess I was too nice. Hope they improve their processes for others. So I just won't go there for catering again. They were tasty, as always. read more

Terrible experience, and this isn't the first time. I went through the drive through and was told to pull up to wi Dow to take my order. There was a car in front of me and I sat there in the drive thru for a good 15 minutes. Then I pulled into a parking place and went inside to order chicken Alfredo, they used to have them in the fridge and you could grab and go which was amazing. There was probably 6 workers and they all looked high or on something. Nobody knew what they were doing. He didn't give me my receipt either. The best made fresh to order sub-style sandwich in Topeka! Super clean new location. Great bread. Better quality meats sliced to order. The sandwiches are bigger and lower priced than all the big chains and several other local places. The food was so good and fresh, and store very clean, employees were helpful and friendly. My week has not been the greatest, and I have had a bad day, but the manager at goodcents on 21 st , she was so kind and helpful, and honestly everyone i witnessed her help, she was that way with everyone asking everyone if they had the goodcents app which would earn everyone points to get free rewards, which i really appreciate, her kindness really turned my day around. Thanks to Amanda the manager, keep up the great work, I highly recommend 21 st location. read more

Food in general is good, but the service at the store on 21st street is horrible. Every time I go to this location the wait is incredibly long and the workers are incredibly rude. Other locations do not have this customer service issue. read more

This Goodcents sucks. I went there Saturday to get 2 simple sandwiches. First was a 16" turkey on white, swiss cheese, black olives and mayo. Second was a 12" roast beef on white, shredded lettuce, black olives and mayo. I get home and to my disappointment, I got a 6" turkey and the roast beef sandwich had tomato, black pepper, and some kind of vinegar sauce that made the bread soggy. It was nasty to say the least and that is not what I ordered. I paid $20.50 for the whole damn order only for their employees to screw it up. I will not be going back to this Mr. Goodcents as they have repeatedly screwed up my past orders. I'm done giving chances. read more

My husband and I came here for the first time today to enjoy the $1 sub deal ($1 sub with the purchase of a side). My husband got a 6' turkey on wheat and I got a 6' veggie sub on wheat. He got a cookie and I got chips. We both got water cups, so the total was $5.44! A great deal. The staff was pleasant, the restaurant itself was immaculate. The manager, Michael, was super nice to us and he was hands on behind the counter. I am impressed with this establishment and will definitely return. read more

ordered online this evening and did the curbside pickup which was no better than waiting in the drive thru forever, then to find out after getting there that there was no white bread AND then the only 2 sandwiches I ordered were made completely wrong. We placed an order 11/8 at 6:33 pm, we called at approx 7:45pm to ask where our food was. We were told "we do not do our deliveries anymore it is done by DOOR DASH. Your order is ready they have not picked it up yet." Well at 8:30 pm we still did not have food. By then we realized the store was closed.On Saturday 11/9, I called and spoke with the manager ANGEL and it appeared she was going to make it right she would credit my card and even offered me $20 store credit (no way I was using that because this is not the first time we have had trouble with this place). When checking my bank account it was discovered the amounts did not match. I called 11/15 and spoke with store manager ANGEL again and she states " The tax changed. It is a .30 difference. You can come into the store and get your .30". Goodcents makes the best sandwiches however there is no way in hell I will ever do business with them again. Food places are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow that is because they choose to do business like this. read more

Do not ever order online for this location. I placed an order thru the app at 5:25 for 4 sandwiches and a pasta. The estimated delivery time was 30 minutes. At 6:15 we called the store to see where our order was and the employee stated that they "must not have gotten the alarm" and they would start it now and we would have it in 30 minutes. I was pleasant and said OK and got off the phone. 35 minutes later I called again to check on our order as we still had not received it. The first employee I spoke with said that "the delivery driver has just left," one would assume that it would maybe be another 5-10 minutes for the driver to get to us. I asked if we could get some sort of discount for it taking 3 times as long as it should have to get to us. The first employee said that he would need to get us to the manager. So the manager came on the phone and I explained what had happened and the manager then told me that they actually hadn't even started our order. They went through a laundry list of the typical excuses and then told us that our order "was the biggest one tonight" and that was why it was taking so long. I scoffed and then asked him if we would be getting a discount and he stated that he would have to call his manager to see if they could do anything. Never in my experience with Goodcents or any other restaurant, have I had such terrible customer service. We should not have to wait 2 hours for 4 sandwiches and 1 order of pasta. Stopped by here real quick, as I was pressed for time during lunch and needed a quick inexpensive meal. I decided to go with one of their "$5" footlongs. I went with the roasted chicken breast and they literally put 6 very thin slices of chicken on a footlong bun. So naturally, I had to spend the extra $2 to get double meat to satisfy my hunger. Was in and out relatively quickly, but I still prefer subway if you are looking for cheap and filling or quiznos and schlotzkys if you have a lil extra money to spend. read more

I love their pasta. It's so amazing!!! But the only thing is it takes so long to make it and they never seem prepared. I come here about once a week and have this issue almost every time. If you want to wait 20 minutes for it you'll be happy! But the wait is crazy! The staff is awesome though and very helpful. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! I ordered two sub party trays for a college graduation party- one tray was supposed to be half tuna and half cheese mix on wheat bread, the other was supposed to be all penny club, half on white and half on wheat. I paid over $60 at the time I placed the order and had my sister pick up the order on the way to the party which was almost an hour outside of town. When she arrived, NOT A SINGLE SANDWICH ON EITHER TRAY WAS CORRECT. NOT ONE! I received a montage of pretty much anything but what I ordered- some with roast beef and cheese, some with salami and cheese and some with turkey and cheese. I immediately called the store and spoke with the shift manager James Tibbs who was VERY RUDE and told me that it "wasn't his fault the order was wrong." I asked to have the trays made correctly and delivered to me and he LAUGHED about this and said he didn't deliver that far. I asked for a refund, that was refused, I asked for store credit, which was also refused. After the party we brought the remainder of the sandwiches back to the store and asked for them to be remade correctly and for a refund on the incorrect sandwiches my party guests had to eat and he threatened to call the police! I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the credit card company. DO NOT EAT HERE, YOU CAN GET MUCH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE ELSEWHERE. read more
