HEYDEN - Mini Persimmon from Japan

So happy that I was finally able to visit this little market!…read more FYI, there's no photos allowed inside (didn't realize until a bit too late, sorry!). There's 1 hour parking in front and coming mid day on a Wednesday, there was no crowd whatsoever. Yes, there's lots of things that you can find cheaper at any other market, but be smart about it, YOU'RE NOT HERE FOR THAT. You're here for the fancy imported stuff that you CANNOT get anywhere else. There were so many interesting Japanese sweets and snacks that I have NOT seen at Tokyo Central, Marukai, Mitsuwa, Seiwa Mart, or Nijiya and that is SAYING A LOT as a weeb who goes to them so, so often. Lots of chips, candies, cookies, etc that I have only seen here. There are LOTS of really fancy, kinda pricey, but super bougie things like $98 rice, $150 (Mother's Day special) crown Japanese melons, wagyu steak cuts, etc. You'd be hard pressed to find some of these things elsewhere without paying the import shipping prices yourself. Some highlights of what I got were: Sakura Matcha Pocky (entire pack of them, much lighter in flavor and slightly sweeter than their regular matcha flavor), Disney lollipops (only 79 cents for these, super cute packaging and nice flavors. PERFECT for my friends who work at Disney and can get almost everything else Disney that isn't from overseas), and spicy hot chips and spicy curry chips (I ate like 3 pieces of these and my dad inhaled the rest of it lol). For produce, I got the Golden Fuji Apples (around $8+), lightly sweet, great color, and very crisp, a $12 cantaloupe like melon (a worker there told me to leave it at room temp for 2-3 more days so it's the best for eating, very sweet, and less seeds & more fruit), and a pack of large Driscoll strawberries (very, very sweet and only slightly tart, great color). There definitely was a language barrier between me and the cashier, but she was super nice, friendly, and helpful. I also got some freebie snacks to try out! Thank you ! Definitely worth stopping by to check out or if you want to splurge on some of the high quality stuff. I'm gonna come back again and see if I can just buy those boxes of Disney lollipops lol...

0!!! This was one of the most disgusting and disturbing experiences I have ever had with a…read morerestaurant. The food appeared contaminated and unsafe, and after eating it, there were serious concerns about food poisoning. No family, especially one with children at home, should ever have to go through something like this. The sanitation conditions seemed horrifying. There were signs of insects and filth, and it felt as if unsanitary conditions existed in every corner of the business. A restaurant that handles food this way should not be allowed to continue operating without a full health inspection. What made this even worse was the staff's attitude. Instead of taking responsibility, they responded with hostility and intimidation. Most shocking of all, there were threats involving immigration status, including statements about cooperating with ICE and having customers deported. That kind of behavior is outrageous, abusive, and completely unacceptable. No business should ever try to silence or intimidate customers this way. This is not just bad service. This is a serious public health and safety concern. I strongly urge the health department and relevant authorities to investigate this business immediately. People deserve to know the truth before more customers, especially children, get sick.

Amazing find! The reviews were very hit or miss, so I was hesitant to visit; i actually went to…read moreHeyden first, but they didn't have much options. So I was so happy to find that they had quite a good variety. I was planning on making a thank you fruit box for my uncle myself, but the man running the store said he could put one together for me, and I saw a whole wall of decorative options. It took quite a bit of time, but he was meticulous, adding ribbons, stickers, tissue paper. It came out beautiful. I also got some lychee, and they said it was the juiciest ones they've had in the states! The store is kind of bare, but there are specialty candy to fill the space as well. Definitely would be back.

Super cool find of delicious and rare fruit!…read more I was a little skeptical as it seems a little new. But this place is so cool! Korean pears. Hawaiian Longon. Black watermelons. Red dragon fruits. Organic apples. Persimmons. Korean Muscat grapes. Kyoho grapes. All absolutely gorgeous! The price is not your typical Vons or Ralph's prices, as it should not be. If you're a fruit connosiuer, this is the place for you. If you trying to get a cheap deal for meh fruit, this isn't for you. They also have blue eggs and black truffle moon cake. I am so excited for this place and would love to come back. The worker is super friendly and explained everything to me. She let us try some samples of fruits and was overall so kind and sweet. I 100% recommend this place. Invest in your own health and stop buying fast food.

The highlight of this place is Alexander's Meats. Within the market are prime cuts of meat. Everything from dry-aged beef, poultry, lamb, A5 Wagyu, and seafood is available. You will also see that much of their inventory is from Harris Ranch. The deli onsite also has hot foods, deli sides, sandwiches, and BBQ. Inquire about catering options for all your needs. The Service is top rate, and certainly exemplary of what markets were before.

There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty big. Lots of parking spots for you to choose from. This small, family owned supermarket doesn't get busy, so you shouldn't have a problem with parking. The spots are also pretty big. Establishment: The establishment itself is very clean, neat, tidy, and organized. The aisles are wide too. You have a variety of fresh fruits and veggies to choose from. They also have a cute and small bakery inside the grocery store. A favorite of mine is their banana cream pie. Their coconut cream pie is dope too. They have a very nice fresh produce, deli, meat and seafood section. Staff: The staff here are very kind, friendly, and helpful. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.
