Parfait with hot fudge and Reese's cups

This is Ghetto Goodberry's or GG for short. Seriously, this area is not a safe area at night. Go to the Cameron Village or Cary Goodberry's instead if you have to get ice cream after sunset. Those are much better spots. Service at this one is sub-par compared to the other Goodberry's, but that's not surprising for GG. You are lucky if the person taking your order gets it right when they are talking to someone on their cellphone while working. Other employees may also be talking on their phones while working or just blasting music. While I'm a huge fan of Goodberry's in general, I try to avoid this location at all costs if possible. GG is just not up to par with service as well as the workers effort into making your desserts.

Snickers sundae and vanilla with strawberry and walnut

I don't know what was better, the staff or the custard! Manager, if you ever read this the two girls working on 9/13 at 3 pm deserve some praise! My husband recommended this place because he came here before with family and i had never heard of it. It was so good! The prices are a little high, but that's to be expected for a place unique right? It's pouring rain right now or we would be sitting on the cute patio by the fountain. But I'm sure on a sunny day it is a lovely place to come and sit outside. I'll be back next time I'm in the state!

Jumbo Concrete
Bradley S.

Concrete with raspberries and Oreo. Ordered jumbo. What I got was a barely-mixed mess with fruit stuck at the top and vanilla soup at the bottom. Might as well have been two separate orders in one cup. No flavor balance, no texture, just lazy. Definitely not worth the $10.20 price tag.

I saw that Goodberry's flavor of the day was Banana Pudding which is one of my favorites, so I stopped by the shop to get a concrete. There were no guests waiting when I arrived, so I was able to walk right up to the counter; however, there were no reps in sight. I waited for about 5 minutes in the cold outdoors before calling out to see if anyone was in the back. Someone eventually came to the front about two minutes after I called out and took my order. The rep was pleasant. Once my order was taken, my concrete was prepared and provided to me right away. The concrete was really good as expected. I've given a 4 star rating because of the wait time before being tended to.

Banana Split melted instantly

Literally bought a banana split ice cream and melted with in a minute. Not worth it. Would not come here again.

Too much milk in the ice cream, also don't like the staff. That is all. If you need ice cream, don't pick this place

Hands-down, the best possible ice cream place you could ever imagine. Technically, frozen custard. Been a customer here almost 30 years.

They have MANY flavors of ice cream, sorbet and drinks. They sell two kinds of hot dogs as well. We both got small cups and I got the caramel with toffee chunks. It was totally awesome! I would get it again for sure. My friend got orange sorbet and loved it. The place was clean, the young lady was friendly and we enjoyed talking with her. I will return here!

Pricy, but comparable to similar shops. Check the mail for coupons. It's never too cold outside for ice cream in NC! I saw an ad for Scoop Dogz and decided to check it out. Even on a chilly November day, I was craving ice cream. This shop is located two doors down from Aversboro Restaurant. It's in a plaza with ample parking. The entrance is on the left and exit door on the right. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a welcoming employee. She smiled and asked if I wanted to try any of the flavors. She patiently waited as I looked through the flavors and menu options. The sundae suggestions sounded so good, particularly the ice cream and cookie dough combos. After much deliberation, I decided on two sundaes. Since they were out of some of the flavors I swapped the chocolate for peppermint and the caramel ice cream for butter pecan. The sundaes were delicious and well balanced. I especially loved the combination of edible cookie dough with ice cream. Not just small chunks but a whole scoop of cookie dough. Their flavors rotate so be sure to look at the display case rather than the printed menus. They also serve ice cream from Homeland creamery. The shop has a few seats inside along with a freezer stocked with pre-packed pints and a free to play Pac-Man game. Overall, we had a positive experience here and recommend this ice cream shop to others!

The ice cream is New Zealand style soft serve, which is jam packed with fruit. I tried the blueberry basil which was absolutely delicious. They also offer other more traditional style ice cream like cookies and cream. The nice little touch they add is putting biscoff cookie or other cookie with every scoop. The cute store is worth a peruse to look at cook books, plants, and other perfect giftables! And save some time to look at the farm animals. There's a herd of friendly alpacas, a coop of chickens (and a free roaming rooster) and even some goats. The animals are so cute and friendly! I will say the parking lots get kind of full, but there's definitely a good amount of spots. You might just need to be a little patient.

They have snacks but if you are hungry I would recommend grabbing a bite somewhere before heading here.

We love this place, my wife and I usually visit Howling Cow after our trail run. Before stepping foot into the ice cream parlor, your first impression of the area is of a herd of cows lazing on wide open fields, and rocking chairs on a shaded porch from which customers can watch the cows as they enjoy their sweet treats. I had seen the ice cream nachos and really wanted to try them, but unfortunately due to staff shortages (NC state's graduation had just occurred), they weren't available. I instead tried their campfire delight, which is a graham cracker base with chocolate chunks and marshmallow fluff mixed in. I LOVE a good s'mores ice cream and this one was excellent. The ice cream base tasted very thoroughly of graham crackers, with a luscious and rich texture. The chunks of crunchy chocolate and wisps of smooth marshmallow provided a nice textural contrast against each other. I enjoyed every single bite, made more memorable by the view of the literal dairy cows that help to produce it. Howling Cow has amazing flavors, fair prices, and large portions. I would love to come back for the ice cream nachos!
