They have MANY flavors of ice cream, sorbet and drinks. They sell two kinds of hot dogs as well. We both got small cups and I got the caramel with toffee chunks. It was totally awesome! I would get it again for sure. My friend got orange sorbet and loved it. The place was clean, the young lady was friendly and we enjoyed talking with her. I will return here!

Pricy, but comparable to similar shops. Check the mail for coupons. It's never too cold outside for ice cream in NC! I saw an ad for Scoop Dogz and decided to check it out. Even on a chilly November day, I was craving ice cream. This shop is located two doors down from Aversboro Restaurant. It's in a plaza with ample parking. The entrance is on the left and exit door on the right. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a welcoming employee. She smiled and asked if I wanted to try any of the flavors. She patiently waited as I looked through the flavors and menu options. The sundae suggestions sounded so good, particularly the ice cream and cookie dough combos. After much deliberation, I decided on two sundaes. Since they were out of some of the flavors I swapped the chocolate for peppermint and the caramel ice cream for butter pecan. The sundaes were delicious and well balanced. I especially loved the combination of edible cookie dough with ice cream. Not just small chunks but a whole scoop of cookie dough. Their flavors rotate so be sure to look at the display case rather than the printed menus. They also serve ice cream from Homeland creamery. The shop has a few seats inside along with a freezer stocked with pre-packed pints and a free to play Pac-Man game. Overall, we had a positive experience here and recommend this ice cream shop to others!

The ice cream is New Zealand style soft serve, which is jam packed with fruit. I tried the blueberry basil which was absolutely delicious. They also offer other more traditional style ice cream like cookies and cream. The nice little touch they add is putting biscoff cookie or other cookie with every scoop. The cute store is worth a peruse to look at cook books, plants, and other perfect giftables! And save some time to look at the farm animals. There's a herd of friendly alpacas, a coop of chickens (and a free roaming rooster) and even some goats. The animals are so cute and friendly! I will say the parking lots get kind of full, but there's definitely a good amount of spots. You might just need to be a little patient.

The ice cream is made to order and there is a variety of beverages to purchase. There are also locally made popsicles. I wish there were more food options. They have snacks but if you are hungry I would recommend grabbing a bite somewhere before heading here.

We love this place, my wife and I usually visit Howling Cow after our trail run. The Wolf Tracks ice cream is my favorite!!!I I normally a milkshake but, sometimes during the summer months I'll get a waffle cone. My wife likes the Banana Pudding ice cream. She too loves the milkshakes with whipped cream and a cherry. Howling Cows also sells pints of ice cream. If you visit Howling Cow in the summer expect a long line, this place is pretty popular. The students do an amazing job so the line moves quickly.

Before stepping foot into the ice cream parlor, your first impression of the area is of a herd of cows lazing on wide open fields, and rocking chairs on a shaded porch from which customers can watch the cows as they enjoy their sweet treats. I had seen the ice cream nachos and really wanted to try them, but unfortunately due to staff shortages (NC state's graduation had just occurred), they weren't available. I instead tried their campfire delight, which is a graham cracker base with chocolate chunks and marshmallow fluff mixed in. I LOVE a good s'mores ice cream and this one was excellent. The ice cream base tasted very thoroughly of graham crackers, with a luscious and rich texture. The chunks of crunchy chocolate and wisps of smooth marshmallow provided a nice textural contrast against each other. I enjoyed every single bite, made more memorable by the view of the literal dairy cows that help to produce it. Howling Cow has amazing flavors, fair prices, and large portions. I would love to come back for the ice cream nachos!

It never came. After waiting, we had to flag down a server walking by, who eventually brought one--only for it to be broken. It then took another 10 minutes before we finally got a functional highchair. Throughout the visit, the staff seemed far more interested in talking amongst themselves than actually paying attention to guests. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. The worst part came after we left. I realized almost immediately that I had left my wallet behind and called right away. Instead of any sense of urgency or willingness to help, the host who answered was incredibly rude and dismissive. Before I could fully explain the situation, she cut me off and told me to "call back tomorrow." When I tried to quickly describe the wallet--color, contents, anything that might help--she hung up on me mid-sentence. Considering I called almost immediately after leaving and was brushed off so quickly, it raises serious concerns about whether any real effort was made to locate it. I would hope any establishment would take something like that seriously. Between the lack of attention, the disorganization, and the way a simple, time-sensitive situation was handled, this place clearly has serious issues with customer service. I won't be back.
