Do not use this company. I called them out to replace a window on my second floor. They did not…read moreproperly caulk the windows after installation. The wall filled up with water for about 8 months when I noticed the wood floor was wet. When I called the restoration company they quickly determines the window was filled with water. I called them back out to seal the window and the water issue subsided. When I called them back to take responsibility for the faulty installation, they denied responsibility. I have since tried to make a claim against their liability insurance to no avail. No one even came by to inspect the damage and they denied it. Don't get caught with $1000s in damages from a company that doesn't know how to install windows properly the first time. I tried to resolve the issue with the company before posting this review, but they are reckless and negligent and in denial.

Jerry answered the phone and said he could give me a call later that same day and give me a 30 minute heads up when he was in the area. I said that was great and about two hours later he called to let me know they were in the area (great customer service!). I arrived at the house and was greeted by Brian and Jerry. I showed them the cracked pane and they immediately set up measuring the window and coming up with the estimate. Brian and Jerry really worked great as a team and I felt very comfortable in knowing they have been providing professional glass services throughout Northwest Florida since 2001. Was also pleased there was no service charge for the estimate. :-) They were very professional, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. They said they could fix it and that it would take about a week to get the window pane ordered and installed. The price was about what I expected and said let's get the new pane ordered. I put 50% down and then the rest to be paid when they install the window pane. They accept cash, check or credit cards and give a 10% military discount. They also do sliding glass door repairs, insulated replacement window glass, mirrors, shower and tub doors and residential glass and table tops. They have built their company mostly through word-of-mouth referrals by going the extra mile to make sure their customers are 100% satisfied. I contacted Destin Glass the first…read moreof October 2025 because all my mirrors in my home 3-1/2 baths counter to ceiling mirrors with 12 ft ceilings were all oxidizing and turning black. They sent 2 guys out to look at the mirrors. They told me they looked up my order and yes all the mirrors they installed in my home were from a defective batch. They said they would take care of mirrors but I'd need to pay for the installation which clearly I had previously paid them to install what turns out were defective mirrors. Problem now is nothing has actually been done about it. They told me that they didn't actually own the business 3 years ago when my house was built and that they had purchased the company from her father in law and they would see if he would help me. They said they had tried to reach out to the manufacturer of the mirrors but no one would talk to them or return their call. All I know is Destin Glass was the company my builder contracted and paid 3 years ago and Destin is Glass is still an open and operating business here in Destin for now.

Indeed, I have come to expect it. That's why when I come across a contractor who not only delivers a project ahead of when promised, at the estimated price, and provides exceptional service, I'm happy to publicize and recommend them to others. I contracted with GVS to purchase and install retractable sliding screen doors on two sliding glass doors in a high-rise condominium I own, I was told it wold be about eight weeks before they would be in. They were here in five (in the middle of a pandemic). I called when I was in town inquiring about installation. GVS installed them the next day. The crew, headed by Kenny, did a very professional job and installed the screens in about thirty minutes, removed our old sliding screens, and vacuumed the work area. Kenny even took the time to give us some tips on how to maintain the screens in the harsh environment to which they are exposed. The crew was quick, efficient, and worked together liked a skilled operating room team. I appreciate their fine work and am happy to give them a shout-out.
