The therapist talked through the whole massage and made me feel generally very judged and uncomfortable. As previously stated, it seems apparent she is not professionally trained as a massage therapist. Be sure to adhere to the pre massage rules as stated in the YouTube video that's sent out when scheduling. I strongly believe this was the longest hour of my life. I am new to MD, and this was my first time driving in to Baltimore. I didn't feel comfortable taking word of mouth directions, and she did not understand this. Later on she explained that it was an "internet phone" bc she couldn't answer on her cell phone. She never called ME after I was obviously going to be late. This whole situation could have been avoided if I had just been able to get in touch with her to explain and try to reschedule. But she never picked up or contacted me after I was late to try to see where I was! On top of this, she charged me $10 cash for her (filthy) rented space and hour lost. I requested a refund on livingsocial as soon as I got in my car. NEVER. EVER AGAIN.

I told her I was giving her $10 but fine I'll take it back. The woman proceeds to walk around from behind the desk and attempt to stop me. She even reached toward my purse as she said she would then accept the $10. Suddenly it's good enough. At this point I'm agitated and sternly advised her that I am not obligated to tip whatsoever, however I was going to anyway-- but since $10 was not enough and she felt entitled to the amount SHE preferred I would not be tipping anything. For the purposes of this review, I am a Black woman and I have heavy doubt that she would have had the same audacity if I was another race. The sheer audacity. I used to frequent this place but this was so off putting and offensive. Suffice it to say, I will never return and they have lost a customer. I will make every effort give my money to members of own my community from here on. Absolutely unacceptable.

The woman went with my wife and I got the guy. The pressure he used worked wonders on me. This store has been here for decades. I remember getting acupuncture here 3 or 4 times. The lady who did it must not have been getting enough clientele, because she eventually stopped being there. This store took over an hear that is huge. There are private rooms in the back section of the store, but mainly, they use the open ended area of the store for massage. There is even the option of chair massage that my wife enjoyed. The open area massage is with clothing on and you are still likely to be covered with a body towel. If you prefer to be nude as I saw one woman prefer at another clothing on massage, you will be sadly disappointed. Unless you specifically ask for a private room(s). Even then, you might be told to leave your underwear on; as well, as your bra. The massage went by quickly and I almost never do ten minutes of massage. I prefer the 60 minute up to 6 hours. Okay, six hours is pushing it and I did this only twice. No, two hours to three hours is plenty. Upon learning this place only takes cash, was alarming, because we did not see any signs for this. Yes, assumption is the mother of all fuckups, but it happens to many of us. We had to use the cash that we had and this left no room for tips. When I come back here, I hope to give this guy the tip he deserves. This store is in a mall that is 70% closed, so getting up to date using credit cards doesn't appear to be something they will do. Still, I like this place and will come back here for another go.

And they are nice enough NOT to chat with you while you're being worked out. I paid $25 for a 30 min massage and it was just as good (if not better) than the ones where you get nude, have the scented oils and all that. They know exactly where your pressure spots are and use elbows, deep tissue massage and gentle streching to work you out. He even worked on my calfs, ankles and fingtertips...apparently high-stress holding areas. I actually went twice in a week I liked them so much. I am so loosey-goosey, I am plan to sleep ultra good after I put on my night creme and say my prayers! Bottom line---try it--you won't be disappointed!

I will also NEVER use a mall or airport "masseuse" either- that is how traumatic this experience was. I spent the next year in excruciating pain, going to PT and to a chiropractor because they damaged my sacroiliac joint. The only reason I didn't sue them was because there was an unexpected twist (pun intended) from this disaster: all of the physical therapy and chiropractic manipulations to address the damage this place did corrected the chronic issue that made me agree to have the massage in the first place. I waited a long time before posting this because I was conflicted. But for this catastrophe I would not have found the chiropractor (Kevin English in Santa Barbara, CA) who was able to resolve the issues they caused AND the other chronic problem.
