Ended up here because I won a bet! Since I recently dropped my membership with Hand & Stone due to the distance from my house, this was a great opportunity to try somewhere new. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed my experiences with HAS, but the drive became too much. Golden Massage Spa sits by itself in what looks like a house turned business which gave it a cozy and relaxing feel. The ladies were very welcoming and even gave me a tour when I arrived. The place was clean and well kept. I absolutely loved my massage. The pressure was perfect since I prefer a very deep tissue massage. Place has so much room and the massage therapists have strong hands! I recently came to try their back scraping and let me tell you!! It was the good kind of pain; my back was red after but they explained this is normal. I feel a lot of the tense/tightness in my back/ upper shoulders has since been alleviated. I cannot recommend them enough. Please tip your massage therapists! read more

Update.: the owner asked me to make a return appointment to make up for disappointment from last visit. My husband and I did a couples massage. At the beginning of the massage the two masseuse were talking and laughing in their own language, I asked them to please be quiet we were there to relax. My massage was very rough and I have 3 bruises on me. My body is very sore same with my husband. While we were leaving they stand at the desk as if someone has to tip them. The young girl said "where is the tip" they leave your ticket open on your credit card slip so they can fill it in .I was not happy with the service and will not go back. I had nothing to do before my 5-hour flight back home..and hadn't really slept so I yelped massage near me.. I came here since they offered a back massage and foot massage at the same time for super cheap.. back in L.A. they charge at least double, if not triple.. and yeah it was nice to have some putting their elbows into your back and someone else massaging each toe.. They also have a couples massage room.. and I think I seen a sauna.. fyi.. I can't really say anything about their atmosphere since I went on July 5th and it was super hott outside, so I park in their back parking lot and I guess I went in through their back door .. but they have 2 floors.. so idk what their upstairs looks like but I never cared for the setting as long as the massage is relaxing. And Yes, you do pay before your massage but that's probably because of some assholes not paying.. I had such a nice time here! Did a couples massage, and I love that the lady was able to feel out what areas of focus I needed most on my massage since I held a lot of tension in my neck. I did notice they make you pay up front, which is totally fine with me! Usually I'll add more to a tip after if it's a really nice job, but it probably prevents people from trying to leave without paying, so I get it. Me and the wife went infor a couples massage as we typically do spa and self care treatment together. Being we are looking for local places since we are looking to have routines that are quality and within budget. The place IS A GEM as it's been a while since we both had massage treatment. The place is clean and professionally looking, and the staff are beyond qualified. Both my wife and myself have been training and weight lifting for months, not rest, and this place was much needed. Both with swore lower back or hip rotation, they knew what to do. I now days later feeling better that before. The prices are very reasonable and they give the best service for your money. I WILL BE HERE WITH THE MISSES... they have a sauna and shower service too we both are better the next day after getting service. My massage person name was Trudy and she is strong with a good approach on the body pain points. My wife person didn't get her name however she was strong too I'm sure they all are as capable as we were greeted by 4 staff members with all welcome smiles. I called and scheduled a 60 min massage, they answered the phone quick and communication was easy. I was very surprised how pleasant, relaxing and clean it is everywhere. The staff was very friendly and the massage was very good, firm pressure like I preferred. She often checked to make sure the pressure was just right. I will be going back. I am now a frequent customer here. Really good massages - particularly deep tissue. The hot stones are awesome. Pleasant atmosphere, courteous staff. I have never felt the need to write a review until now: This is the worst massage experience ever. My mom & I came in for an appointment at 2pm and they immediately wanted us to pay before even receiving the service. (I have never encountered having to pay before getting a massage in my life.) I respectfully asked the lady If it was okay to receive the massage first then we will pay them afterwards to which she did not understand me so she called someone -- who I assume is their manager, to translate. The lady on the phone kindly agreed and then we proceeded upstairs to the room with two beds. The place seemed pretty clean but when I laid on the bed, it was wet. I am not one to complain so I ignored it. When the massage started & she got on top of the bed, she stepped on my hair and was on it for quite a while before she eventually put my hair in a towel. I did not mention this to her as well. The massage itself was SO PAINFUL even after I told her to go a little softer with her pressure. It seemed like she was rushing & didn't seem like she cared about my individual preferences or personal pressure points. On the other hand, my mom felt close to nothing while getting her massage & after repeatedly asking to go a little harder on her pressure, she went overboard & was hurting her as well. We both agreed that we wanted the massage to be over soon after it had just begun. On top of that, the two ladies were talking the whole time and the WORST PART of it all -- when my mom & I were COMPLETELY EXPOSED: another lady barged in the room yelling, seemingly very frantic to which I kept asking them "is everything okay... is everything okay?!?!" and all they told me was "it's okay" but continued to talk to one another very loudly even after the other lady left. The "therapeutic music" might as well have been turned off since they were talking over it anyway. When they were done with the back side, my lady was vigorously smacking me on the shoulder telling me to turn around and then same thing when the massage was finally done. Speaking of when the massage was done, it seemed as if they were rushing us out to which my mom even had to step in and say "we still have to get dressed.." When we got downstairs to pay for our services (we paid via apple pay), another lady came towards the register and said "the tip isn't included in the apple pay" and I said word for word "i'm sorry we will not be tipping you as we weren't happy with our services". In an effort to stay professional & respectful, all I said was "it was not relaxing as the two ladies were talking very loudly the entire time".If that was REALLY the only reason why we did not enjoy it, we surely still would have tipped them. However, I hope when they see this review they will understand why we were really reluctant on tipping them. The other lady was nice enough to offer me some discount coupons for next time but I respectfully declined saying "i'm sorry I do not think we will be coming back"(she did apologize which we really appreciate.) I went and got a massage and table shower and as soon as the lady draped me with the sheet and started patting my back with the sheet on my back started to burn but I didn't think much of it cause I thought maybe it was just me but after the lady started the massage I quickly realized I just wanted to get the heck out of there but I had already paid $90 so I wasn't going to waste it so I sat through a pretty rough and rushed massage, froze my butt off during the table scrub (no drapery was used whatsoever which was incredibly uncomfortable and I had a blue loofah in my face), was taken back to the first room when she completed the massage while I was cold and naked and all I wanted to do was get dressed so I could be warm. I finally got dressed and tipped and could not get to my car fast enough. The lady was so kind but definitely didn't bother with draping which made me uncomfortable. I could not relax at all during my entire time there. Then I got home and my back was itching/burning and I now have a rash all over my back. Definitely not worth the $110 I paid. Super disappointed because the first time I went here I had a fantastic massage but I probably won't be going back after todays experience. read more
