I am from CA, but recently my boyfriend purchased a house in Bartlett, TN and we needed to change the locks. After looking on Yelp I found two potential companies, but when I called the first one, the gentleman who answered didn't seem too responsive to my needs. He gave me short answers and didn't make me feel like he even needed my business. Who knows, maybe he was tired, but either way I knew I needed to call other places before making a decision. I needed a new key for my Jeep. I have dropped my keys enough to the point that the remote on my key no longer worked and it was barely holding onto the key itself. I have a very busy schedule and used Yelp to locate a Locksmithing company that would come to me on a weekend day. Mario communicated with me throughout the day about the situation and set me up the next day to have someone come to my place of work to cut new keys for me. I called Good People (great name) to assess whether locks on two iron security doors should be replaced or repaired. Two guys showed up ON TIME, quickly assessed the problem, and replaced the locks. The work was done in about 30 minutes with no hassles. In fact they gave me a discount for finding them online. And the icing on the cake is that the workers were young AA men practicing a craft that so many young men don't consider as a job option any more. This means a lot during a year when Americans are asking how to support AA businesses and spend our money in a more just manner in all communities. I have been a customer for a month only and I am not satisfied at all . I was supposed to get a refund for camera equipment due to the fact the agent gave false advertisement. The refund was returned but to another card and I've been calling and calling and no agent wants to help and when I ask to speak to a manger , the response I get is that there is no manager on site . I lost my keys while shopping and needed a new car key made on a very cold Sunday in Southaven. I contacted Good People Locksmithing after Pop-a-Lock didn't get back to me in over 6 hours. Rico was on call, and he told me that it would be at least 2 hours before he could get to my car. He was true to his word and called about 2 hours later stating he was 20 minutes away from my car. I was able to send him information about my car so that he could start as soon as he arrived on site. Rico was upfront about the pricing, and the final cost matched his original pricing. It was close to 20 degrees and after midnight by the time he finished. Even though Rico was shivering when I got there; he took the time to explain the keys he had made to me. Locked my keys in my car in a downdown Memphis parking garage. The guy that came to unlock our car was named Andre, and he had my car unlocked in about 30 seconds tops (it usually takes people a while to get into my car...yes, I'm a repeat offender at locking my keys in). More affordable than we expected at $65, and he made sure I completed all the info on the receipt (even though he didn't need it) so that I could take it to my insurance and get a roadside assistance refund, which I didn't even know I could do. He gave us his personal number to call him directly if we needed him again while we were in town. Super nice, fast, and affordable. Definitely recommend this place. read more

I can't think of a single way they could have done a better job helping me. When I called with a car ignition problem, the man on the phone immediately recognized the problem, provided options with pricing, and suggested a possible cheaper solution from a dealership to get it fixed. When that didn't work, I called back and two gentlemen arrived within minutes to help me out. They were quick, professional, and friendly in fixing my car. I live in Mid-City and hope to never need a locksmith, but when I do I am really happy to know there is such an outstanding local business to help me out. Good People was the 5th phone call I made looking for someone to re-key my new property, but the first call that didn't leave me more frustrated than when I started. Issue was that I purchased a HUD property, and HUD doesn't give you keys to take possession of the house... you have to find an alternate way in. Rico seemed like a really nice guy over the phone, he completely understood both the situation and what I needed, and told me to just give him a 20 minute heads up once I actually needed to use him. Fast forward to the day I could gain access to the new property... I called Rico up, he was there in 20 minutes, asked for my ID and the deed to the house, took pictures of both, and two minutes later I had complete access to my new house.
