They are very thorough in making sure every aspect of the move is taken well care of.

Update: 50% refund…read more Yeah, don't go with these guys. i had specific instructions for my move both to the rep on the phone (xavier he's great) and to them directly. all were not really cared for properly. I should have just gotten my friends and a uhaul to move, but i was promised it would take 5hrs. i was billed 5.5hrs. tip top of the money i had left. and they didn't even have time to move everything. why? because their recklessness with my things i didn't want them carrying my computer monitors. they were hired to pack and move stuff across portland. they came at 1:30 when they said only to tell me that they didn't know they needed all the packing stuff. they eventually arrived nearly 2hrs later and towards the END Of the original window i was promised without any 'hey we will be there at this ETA' they said they got stuck behind a train, which is fine i guess? but no update after that until i called and complained, which got me a 5% discount, which is nice i guess? but like everything that happened after were MASSIVE red flags, both for the computer and the 'movers' which felt like contractors they just hired for whatever without properly vetting. i had a small move, 2 rooms. they were the slowest movers and most reckless movers i've ever hired. but i don't really blame them fully for that. supposedly they were working since 8am and just drove up from salem or something. they didn't even eat lunch. is that even legal?! no wonder they came to the door exhausted already and out of it. These 2 guys did the best they could, but honestly with how exhausted I was from helping them (something i SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO), they were doing a good job, but that doesn't really matter. In the end this guy ruined my $2000 custom built standing desk for music. not sure if i can get it repaired or fixed. he undid it and said he will put it back together. it was pretty easy just a few bolts into the joints between the wooden top and the legs and putting on the keyboard tray. easy stuff for the most part (when you have a drill, i don't own one). this guy didn't even look at where he was drilling or understand how the desk was put together after showing him specific things. he just drilled in the bolts and they hit a part that they're supposed to go into but was put in backwards making it impossible (on purpose) to get the screw in. this guy just kept drilling harder and harder and when i asked him about it he was like yeah it's supposed to sound like that. He either was so exhausted he couldn't think straight or just took on tasks he could have said 'yeah i don't know how to do that, can you do it?' either way now i have a broken desk that's only partially built and put together. i am really glad i moved all of my expensive stuff to my place with a friend last weekend, because they definitely would have broken a lot of very expensive things! I also gave them a mattress cover to put on the mattress, and they struggled doing that. You are movers wtf?! i zipped it up about half way and moved on. Then when we got to my new place they didn't even use it and put the mattress on the pavement to get a better angle or something. like what was the point in bringing it?! They also dropped a bunch of precious memories i had in a bin in a bin, they said they took them out because the outer bin couldn't close (bs). They were holding it open wrapped around their arm and i asked them to close it as it doesn't look secure and he said it would be fine, then immediately drops it with pictures and papers dropping on the ground and getting dirty. Anyway this all just happened. and there's no way I can live in my new place due to the lack of time they afforded to me to actually place things in the right spot. At least my bed is in the right spot. luckily for now i am in a short term rental because my last place had mold and why I am moving. i am highly allergic and being there as long as i did, both to wait for them to show up and how slowly they worked on loading the truck, I am feeling sick again because of it. The estimate was low balled to say the least because these guys move at a snails pace because this company overworks them and treats likely their staff like crap. these are probably more desperate people looking for an easy pay day. one guy was like 'i worked 4 days this month' and the other one worked 6 days in a row. a 12 hr day without a break outside of driving (which isn't a break) isn't really fair or legal? I paid nearly 1k for this move, and you can't afford to give these people a proper break between moves? I'm sure they weren't making nearly enough either. Lastly they pressured me to sign a thing at the end of the receipt that says everything was delivered intact, which i didn't sign. Anyway go with another company, not worth the risk. I didn't have another weekend to do this move as i need to have a livable space and that takes time as well. Anyway the movers were careless, slow, expensive, and ignored instructions.

All Service Moving did a great job. However, I was pushed…read moreinto signing a release of liability half way through. The rep said turning it sideways to get it thought the door was a special event somehow and that I would have to sign some papers. Seriously, I'm paying $700 to move a 350 pound object from the parking lot into my apartment. All Service Moving should bake the liability into the cost. If they drop it and I can't fix it, I'm willing to eat the $3k to buy a new one but they should at least agree to haul the old one away and move in the next one for free.

Despite the fact that they had worked until the wee hours of the morning prior on a particularly demanding job, they showed up joyfully and professionally and promptly on Saturday morning, the 31st. All of my items that required wrapping and padding received such attention to detail and not one thing was damaged, not even slightly! They were organized, communicated with each other, maintained a sense of humor and finished the job in 3 hours. I have learned through multiple moves to not be drawn in by the cheapest price. I did my homework and knew I would receive the best value for money hiring EZ. While I have no plans to move again, once was enough, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and if I could give them more than five stars I definitely would. Hire this crew! You won't be disappointed.

There were several concerns not written in this review to limit its size…read more We had EZ Move pack and load a container for a move from Oregon to Hawaii. The estimation process was good, and we felt comfortable after reading five star reviews and with the costs. We were told they always bid high to avoid having to ask for more, but it would probably be less. We hired a 40-foot ocean container which was parked at the mover's location. They would load a box truck and transport our items from our house and pack them into the container. On the first day of the packing, we noticed a few things we thought were not normal. Only medium size boxes, no dish packs or wardrobe boxes. The packers roamed around from room to room not packing a whole room at a time. We asked and were advised it was to prevent heavy boxes. After the first load to the container we asked if all our items would fit and were assured there is plenty of room. We asked this same question with each truck load and were assured each time that it was all going into the container. Come the final day of loading we were informed there was not enough room and we needed to prioritize what we wanted to be left out. Of course, we were shocked but moved the items to be left behind into our garage and forged ahead. We would need to arrange a separate shipment. After they had loaded what they could, and it came time to pay we were handed a handwritten bill that was half again what the estimate was not less. We asked why since they had not even finished the entire house and were told there was more items than they thought. We asked how. Hadn't they walked through the house and looked everywhere when estimating. We felt we had no choice but to pay as the container was on their property and we were concerned if we said no they would not let it leave until we paid. Yes, this sounds paranoid, but this is where our confidence was after four days with the company. We hired a professional moving company on the other end to unload the container. As they were unloading, they and we were shocked to find a lot of items loaded into the container loosely several broken or dented. The unpackers asked if we had loaded the container ourselves as it was so poorly loaded and said if the container had been professionally packed, we would have had at least ten foot of room in the container. This would have held what we left behind and saved us thousands $$ for the second shipment. As we emptied boxes, we found most things placed in boxes not wrapped or padded also with some items broken or damaged. Boxes labeled by room were placed in the new corresponding rooms but are loaded with stuff from all over the house making unpacking a challenge. And try finding something you need. Forget about it. We still have not found our forks and spoons so we bought new ones. We called EZ Move to advise them about the loose packing and damage. They said send pictures because this never happens with them but never offered to compensate or in any way make it right. Our advice if you decide to use this company is don't be trusting, don't count on professionalism, be ready for curveballs, make sure you have a backup plan, prepared to pay a lot more than the estimate.

As you can see, I normally leave positive reviews if I am impressed, and almost never any negative…read morecomment if I am disappointed. However, I feel compelled to write a negative one for this company. I got an in-person estimate from this company, which was $1295.72. I got multiple estimates, but no other company could beat this. So I hired them. We packed more than 90% of the things by ourselves. I attached photos taken at the time of home inspection performed 5 weeks prior to the move. See garage packed with boxes and living space with very few items left. Remember this is 5 weeks prior to the move. We kept putting things in storage spaces into garage. Also, since the new house is just a street away, we kept moving things by ourselves after the close date. By the time the mover arrived, there were few things left that needed to be packed. On the day of the move, they called me asking if they needed to bring anything. I asked them to bring several boxes for unpacked items. They ended up using only 5 boxes as Bill of Landing shows. Both my wife and I helped them. My wife packed almost all kitchen items since they required special care. I moved electronics (PCs, TVs, printers, etc) by myself without packing. After everything was done, they tried to charge me over $4000, but after taking a look at my puzzled face, a lead man spoke with the management, it came down to $2574.60. However, this was still twice as much as the estimate. He did not give me any warning that the final charge would be significantly higher than the estimate. I posted my initial review, and Robert called me the next day, and he said in an accusatory voice that the price went up because everything was not packed and they needed extra time packing. Give me a break! The average packing specialist costs $60 per hour. So, $1279 ($2574.60 minus $1295.72) is equivalent to 21 hours of packing. The fact is, the estimator underestimated the amount of items we had and the time it took to load/ unload them. We had two large bookcases (143" wide, and 110" wide) that needed to be separated and joined. As a result, they needed to run the truck twice. A website entitled "The Top 10 Moving Scams" says, "An 'estimator' who does a quick walk-through of your home without opening cabinets and taking note of exactly what you plan to move is going to be way off the mark." Also, in the process of moving, they broke several items, one of which was missing a part. I brought it to the lead man's attention at the end of the move. All he said was, "I will look for the missing part in our truck, and get back to you," but he never did. He did not mention anything about filing a claim. These items were not expensive, and I was not necessarily asking for compensation. All I was hoping was honest disclosure (whoever broke it should know) and prompt follow-up (the lead man did not contact me, unsure whether he even tried to find the missing part). If I had simply called them to file a claim, I am sure they would have accused me of not telling the crew on the spot, and made the filing process almost impossible. On the other hand, if a customer brings it to the crew's attention on the spot like I did, they will say,"OK, let us check, and we will get back to you," and they don't. Either way, they dodge customer's filing. After seeing my review, they called me immediately and turned their fault into mine saying, "you did not pack everything! You could have filed a claim for damaged items. It is clearly written in the contract!" I am taking this case to Small Claims Court.

The move should have only taken 1.5 hours but they liked to hang out in the truck talking to waste…read moretime. So I decided to help out to speed things up. So going over the 2 hour mark by 35 minutes they charged me and extra $365.00 dollar. Plus they destroyed my vintage nightstand by stacking boxes on it a refused to reimburse me for the damages. I even gave one of the guys a couple of bottles of expensive liquor. Lesson learned is all I have to say.

I scheduled a move within the same apartment complex. This was not a cross-town move--it was a transfer between two apartments approximately 200 feet apart with identical floor plans. I was given a 10:00-11:00 AM arrival window. The crew did not arrive until approximately 2:30 PM, more than three hours late. During that time, I received no meaningful updates and spent the day waiting. When the crew finally arrived, only three movers showed up instead of the four-person crew I expected. Rather than arriving with a plan, they immediately expressed doubts about completing the move. The manager's response to the delay was disappointing and dismissive. When I explained that the delay was seriously impacting my day, I did not feel that the situation was being taken seriously. Ultimately, the move was not completed. I had to make alternative arrangements, hire additional help on my own, and spend the weekend moving and unpacking largely by myself. What is most frustrating is that I specifically hired a professional moving company to avoid exactly this situation. Instead, the late arrival, staffing issues, and lack of communication turned what should have been a straightforward apartment transfer into a stressful and exhausting experience. I understand that delays can happen. What I cannot understand is the lack of communication, accountability, and customer service after the delay occurred. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location.
