FSI provides personalized adult and pediatric Sleep Medicine services located near downtown Orlando, FL. We proudly offer in-person consultations in Orlando, as well as telehealth (virtual) consultations for all of Florida. At FSI we embrace the uniqueness of each patient, understanding that there is often more than one contributing factor to one’s sleep disturbance. Therefore, when focusing on a sleep complaint, a holistic and whole mind-body approach is essential. We use evidence-based medicine, combined with integrative and functional approaches, to address the true etiology of the sleep complaint, rather than just treating the symptom. Common diagnoses seen include sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia (excessive daytime sleepiness), chronic fatigue, parasomnias, sleep-related movement disorders, restless leg syndrome, circadian-rhythm disorders, and any other sleep-related disturbances.

I had a very disappointing experience with the administrative side of this pulmonology practice…read more After being prescribed a necessary medication following trials and doctor visits, the office repeatedly failed to respond to requests from my insurance company, my pharmacy, and the medication's patient assistance program (MyWay) for required prior authorization and enrollment forms. I've called multiple times over weeks/months, left detailed messages (including one for a supervisor over a week ago with no callback), sent written requests, and followed up persistently--yet nothing gets done. The insurance and pharmacy confirmed they're waiting solely on this office to submit paperwork, but the staff either doesn't respond or promises action that never happens. This has caused significant delays in starting treatment for my chronic condition, which is frustrating and unacceptable when dealing with a serious lung issue. The doctor herself may be fine clinically (I can't speak to that part), but the front office and admin team are disorganized, unresponsive, and seem overwhelmed or indifferent to patient needs. I've seen similar complaints in other reviews here about staff issues, so this appears to be a pattern. Potential patients should be aware that getting basic administrative support here is extremely difficult. I regret the time and stress wasted and am now seeking care elsewhere.

At the time our little twin boys were about 10 months and I was sleeping in the room with them or taking turns with my husband to take care of them. Sue came in and helped me with day and night schedule, feedings and getting them to the point that we are in now, they sleep from 730pm to 7am. It is possible to get your sleep back and have a very happy baby. My boys disposition has been great, since now they are well rested. Sue, changed our life!!!! We love her.

She had never been able to fall asleep unless being fed. And even once she was asleep it was a 75% that she would wake when transferring her to bed. As a wife, step mom of a 5 year old and boss of 100 eployees I was literally drowning. From the first phone call with Sue, I felt like there was hope. She was engaged, inquisitive and offered reassurance that we were not a lost cause. She even gave helpful suggestions before being hired. I wanted Sue to do an overnight, obviously the most expensive option but she was booked. I was so insistant on it but she assured me that we could start with routine and a 3 hour night time visit and that I would probably not need her overnight anyways. She didn't want to just "sell me" on the most expensive option and was confident that I wouldn't need her overnight even though I was willing. After my daughter fell asleep on her own in her own crib for the first time in her life, her sleep stretches improved immediately. I didn't even think she was capable! I've had some scheduling wrenches due to travel and work but Sue has mentored me through all of them to make sure we stayed on track and course corrected when necessary. She is SO available that I often forget she has more than just one client. I couldn't be more pleased and thankful for her support. I highly recommend her services. They are truly life changing.

DO NOT GO TO Dr. DEWAN!!!! He and his office manager, Jovanni are the most unprofessional,…read moreheartless physicians office I have been to in 56 years. I had a 2:15 appt to go over test results from the previous week. When I arrived I was told I needed to pay my copay. I replied it's already met. After looking at the insurance screen she advised it wasn't. To be fair my insurance company had a system problem and the oop was showing .05%met but also showing my $6,600 deductible met. Considering that alone would make at least 85% of my oop met and when I saw Dr Dewan the week before I did not pay a copay because they looked it up and it was met. The office manager, Jovanni did not seem able to understand this is an obvious problem with the insurance company or care that their records showed I paid no copay the week before. My daughter and I asked several times to speak to the doctor. He refused to speak with us even though I had a booked appointment!!! I asked for a print out of my records and Jovanni refused to take any action to print them until I followed her order to sit down! Well, I have a severe, chronic back issue and did not want to sit but eventually did what I had to in order to receive my records. Upon receiving the records I was told by Jovanni that Dr Dewan was discharging me as a patient. I asked for a letter from him indicating his reason and was told it will be mailed to me! So if I have a seizure and die tonight would he care! I think not! DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!! He and his staff are horrendous.

Ive only seen this once when an office went bankrupt. Another doctor they know requested CT Scan we did. Still waiting. Cost me thousands of dollars of irreparable harm with them going missing. I trusted them. I hope they are ok....but not acting like a doctors office. Dr tara has video after video how she can save people's lives from sleep apnea. Where is that doctor? The entire staff was warm, attentive, and truly made me feel like a priority--not just another patient being rushed through the system. Dr. Tara took the time to actually listen to my symptoms, sleep history, and concerns. They explained everything clearly and compassionately, which instantly put me at ease. The sleep study itself was surprisingly comfortable. I was expecting a cold, clinical environment, but the room felt more like a cozy 5 star hotel suite than a medical facility (its really high end luxurious place). The techs were incredibly professional What impressed me the most was the follow-up. They didn't just hand me results and send me on my way--they worked with me to craft a treatment plan that was personalized and manageable. I finally feel like I have control over my sleep again. Good bye sleep apnea

After 6 years of is time for a new review. I have a new doctor and my care is moving forward. I've…read morebeen very happy with all the doctors here and most of the staff. My issues come in every time I try to contact anyone. People rarely answer the phones so you have to try and leave a message. They're messaging system is quite a bit of a joke. On rare occasions, you can leave a message on their line and they might get back to you. Lot of the time you get shunted into a service who you also then sometimes hear back. Apparently, they just started a new program where you sign up online for a patient portal and can send the messages that way. I went through all the process of signing up, which took forever and tried to send a message and it won't let me send messages to anyone about anything. Once again, this is forced me to drive to the doctors office just to go in so I can try and talk to someone. I have had to do this multiple times for multiple things. And this latest occasion, it was a complete mess. Everyone was friendly upfront and tried to understand what I was telling them. Finally contacted the person in charge who handles prescription issues and when I explained to her that the company that is coming from had called them multiple times her direct response to me was "that's a lie". She went onto contact the company and still wanted to argue with me Rather than listen to me about what I was told by the company representative. In the end it was worked out and I should be getting the medication soon. It's really rough that I can receive such good care and yet receive some very poor service at the same time. I trust the doctors here and I have told them as others have about issues with other staff in the place but nothing seems to change. I have witnessed this quite a bit in the medical field here in Florida.

I had become very ill last March and was hospitalized for about two weeks. This was a very traumatic experience because my wife and I had just found out we had our first son on the way. She answered all our questions, offered opinions on settings and products that have saved me so many headaches and most importantly has made my quality of life and comfort 100% better. Ashley went above and beyond during our hospital stay but most importantly has followed up with us on a regular basis to make sure I remain healthy. This has literally reduced my hospitalizations this past year by 80% and probably saved my life with all this Covid craziness. I am very grateful to Ashley for all she does and I will always work with her and her team for my pulmonary needs. I would highly recommend Ashley and her team at ORMC if you are having similar complications.
