Ability Rehabilitation Clermont, FL I have just completed…read morethree months of physical therapy for a complicated reverse shoulder replacement, that was the third surgery for that shoulder in 8 years. Tom Oliva was my therapist, and he is truly amazing! The front staff, Shivani and Shantee are professionals at juggling schedules in a caring and kind manner. They will work to get you in while they make you feel like a very special person. Tommy is the most gifted therapist, creating a program that got my shoulder's pain level down, and increased its mobility and strength. He LISTENED after asking how the shoulder was feeling, then created a program that used different exercises, each time keeping the therapy exciting and progressing. There was NEVER a "set routine" that I was told to perform. He uses manual manipulation and massage of the joint at EACH session and as needed to reduce pain throughout the session. He has such a positive attitude, making the sessions fun and innovative. My surgeon, Dr. George White found the results outstanding for range of motion as well as strength and well beyond the expectations he had for the surgery. If you need physical therapy that relieves the pain, and results that will amaze you, go to Ability Rehabilitation in Clermont, and you will be so glad you did.

Her husband had to keep calling about changing the bandage until finally a nurse came and changed it after saying he's going to call 911 if someone didn't come and change the bandage. Family member went here in late 20teens…read more Not enough night staff - those in upper management charge tended to be a little cliquey as well as confrontational. Poor listening skills at times as well as low levels of empathy. Hopefully all of these folks have since moved on or have been relocated. Nurses and attending CNA's were great. Attending doctor at time was also good. One medical employee (since moved on) openly complained to us about the constant changes in management and their disconnect and lack of understanding with the medical staff. Big "friendly" pitch for the facility from management gal when she visited us at the hospital and then once we get to the facility, admittance process was grossly unorganized and chaotic. Took ages to get copies of papers that were signed. We would see the "pitch gal" in the hall almost daily while family member was a resident and she never looked once at us when we would see her in the hall or bother speaking with us again. Her job was done. Get a person in a bed and move on to the next patients she needed to pitch to. Facility was oversold for what it was. We did not use them a second or third time when rehab was needed later and did not recommend the facility to friends or neighbors. Can be incredibly windy at front entrance, which is poor design for a rehab facility for elderly visitors or anyone with movement issues.

So, much of my time was spent idle. I stated this in a survey sent to me. The following session, I was confronted about the survey, which I would have thought confidential and anonymous. This was very unprofessional and made future experiences awkward. There are a couple people who concentrated on my progress. They were mentioned in the aforementioned survey. There was also a financial dispute, which I won't discuss here, that ended in me cancelling the remainder of my sessions.

I felt that our baby was being handled with care. We were given clear directions and were even allowed to record the session! The office was very clean & they even offered complimentary coffee/tea/flavored water, etc. The price was very reasonable, and I felt we got our money's worth out of the appointment. It felt like a genuine experience and I'm thankful for direction on how we can help our baby at home with exercises.

My baby was eight days old when we visited Dr. Beckman. He did not have a consistent latch and was…read morestarting to lose weight. Thus, we started to bottle feed with donor milk. I was very concerned that he would not Want me after receiving a bottle. Dr. Beckman was cheerful, humble, knowledgeable and very positive that 1) baby was born knowing how to latch on to me...we just needed to remind him. And 2) baby should have no problem switching back-and-forth between nipple and bottle it was just a matter of strengthening the muscles that were weak. That was such a relief for a first time mommy. She went though a series of simple tests and gave us exercises to practice. Three days later he had his first decent latch. And ever since then it's been getting better and more consistent with longer stretches of time. We are not even two weeks since our visit with Dr. Beckman and today we've done more breast-feeding than pumping! Dr. Beckman and associates are professional, friendly, and prompt. Her process is backed by science and research, and carried out with kindness and compassion. I would highly recommend this office. Baby and I are forever grateful.
