I felt that our baby was being handled with care. We were given clear directions and were even allowed to record the session! The office was very clean & they even offered complimentary coffee/tea/flavored water, etc. The price was very reasonable, and I felt we got our money's worth out of the appointment. It felt like a genuine experience and I'm thankful for direction on how we can help our baby at home with exercises.

I was very concerned that he would not Want me after receiving a bottle. Dr. Beckman was cheerful, humble, knowledgeable and very positive that 1) baby was born knowing how to latch on to me...we just needed to remind him. And 2) baby should have no problem switching back-and-forth between nipple and bottle it was just a matter of strengthening the muscles that were weak. That was such a relief for a first time mommy. She went though a series of simple tests and gave us exercises to practice. Three days later he had his first decent latch. And ever since then it's been getting better and more consistent with longer stretches of time. We are not even two weeks since our visit with Dr. Beckman and today we've done more breast-feeding than pumping! Dr. Beckman and associates are professional, friendly, and prompt. Her process is backed by science and research, and carried out with kindness and compassion. I would highly recommend this office. Baby and I are forever grateful.

This place is absolutely amazing! I cannot say enough great things about the entire staff. My dad…read morehas end stages vascular dementia. He has a feeding tube, and can no longer walk. He has been in a few rehab facilities in between being at home with full time caregivers. When he has been in other rehabs, the therapists, nurses, and doctors would decide to stop doing therapy, or try and get him out of bed, because they don't think it's worth doing anything with him. Before he came to Palm Garden, developed some really bed pressure sores over the course of the past few months. It's been decided his wounds are too bad to have wound care come to his home, so we had to make the decision to put him in another facility where they are qualified to care for his wounds. We ended up picking Palm Garden of Winter Haven. I thought he would get the same treatment that he had at other facilities, where they don't want to bother trying to get him out of bed, feed him by mouth, since he has a feeding tube. PALM GARDEN OF WINTER HAVEN, has completely taken us all by surprise in the BEST way possible! They get him out of bed everyday, and put him in his wheelchair. They take him to the dining room to eat most of his meals. Even if he is in his trancelike state, they still feed him by mouth as long as he is wanting to eat and swallows without any issues. They also do therapy with him several l times a week. The wound care team is top notch and doing everything they can to heal his wounds. My dad has days when he is alert, and will speak. Other days, he will be in his trance, but he still understands and will usually respond if he is asked a question. Palm Garden is the first place he has been that hasn't treated him like he is too far gone to even try anything with him. I know it takes a lot of patience, time and energy to get him out of bed and into his wheelchair, but they still do it. Their entire staff is so nice, from the office staff, CNA's, nurses, doctors, therapists, etc. They all treat my dad like his life matters. They are great at communicating with us when it comes to his care. We never have any issues trying to get in touch with any of the staff. Palm Garden goes above and beyond what is expected of them. When we come see our dad, it is clear he is being very well taken care of, and that means a lot considering he can't always speak for himself. I highly recommend this place!

They come whenever they want to & will stay 15 minutes despite billing your insurance. You will need to have your animals locked up because despite working a job going into peoples homes, they act terrified as if a small dog is a lion or Tiger. The physical therapist will arrive dressed like he's headed to a construction site. The really disgraceful part though was their lack of empathy & compassion. When I notified the PT we needed to cancel due to my loved one being readmitted to the hospital for a stroke, he proceeded to continue to call to set up appointments to make his money. My loved one could have been dead and yet there was never even a thank you for having the courtesy to notify us or any concern for his well being.

It just looks like everyone is, oh soooo busy or royally pissed off all the time. Mother was admitted for Therapy and that I must say was the only positive thing about her stay. Allyson and her team did a great job getting her back to her previous level of functioning. Nursing is something else. LPN's focus is passing meds and don't ask a question of the Unit Manager because the response is, "go ask your nurse." This is very difficult when they have 25+ patients to take care of. All any family member wants is reassurance that their loved one is doing well but most of all, if a change of condition does happen, what are you doing? How are you doing it? Also, we were told the doctor had seen my mother twice...why doesn't she remember a visit? I believe in giving all qualified personnel an opportunity to do the job, but it would be appropriate that the nursing staff that is taking care of your loved one speak/understand English so a conversation could take place. Dietary dept. needs to really improve. Supper can come anywhere between 5-7+pm. The meals are cold and cold beverages are warm which means sitting in warmers for ever. It was very interesting to see what the Assisted Living meals look like (very appealing/good/hot) in comparison to SNF meals. Unbelievable difference in quality. Aides delivered the wrong tray to my mother more than not. When this was pointed out to staff, we were told everyone gets the same meals. That's scary as residents do have food allergies, texture issues, etc. and delivering the wrong tray can create huge issues. Why do we fill out meal request the day prior? I do want to express gratitude to Becky and Andrea. What wonderful, caring women. They were the ray of sun shine that was needed.
