I saw a photo of a boba drink on the window and I was very excited to order a boba drink and walk around. When I entered the restaurant I saw several food items photos posted on the wall. They have a lot of food dishes pictures posted on the wall. There was a customer in front of me and I waited to be helped. The lady at the front looked at me and I asked if they offered boba and she told me to look at the menu and pointed to a small white board. The boba menu was confusing to understand. It had pictures taped on top of writing. Only some items had prices listed. There was no description or sizes listed. I decided to try something new and ordered the mango strawberry. The lady was still talking to the customer in front of me and she tells me its $6 dollars. I planned on waiting for the customer in front of me to be done so I didn't pull of my money. All of a sudden the lady tells me $6 dollars in a louder tone. It took me by surprise because she was still with another customer in front of me. I thankful had the $6 dollars in cash and provided her my payment. She left to the back and made my drink. It was a strange interaction and I felt like I was being a bother for not understanding the process. I would not recommend it because of the customer service and feeling rushed. read more

Nice little spot on Creek St in Ketchikan. Looks like a lot of the ship staff come while they are in port. Food is tasty. Pay close attention to the photos on the 1st floor so you know what you're ordering. The staff is nice but very adamant that you order first before sitting. The boba is decent enough. Ordered takeout - food was just so-so. Not a whole lot of choices for Chinese food in Ketchikan, but would rather try a different place than go back. Biggest issue was they just used plain old spaghetti noodles for their chow mein which was very disappointing - didn't look anything like the picture that was displayed on the wall when I ordered. Also overcharged for items that I didn't notice until I reviewed the receipt later in detail. Kinda felt like they were taking advantage of tourists who were just passing through since they didn't expect to see you again. Like I said, would definitely not go back. read more

In complete honesty, this place isn't what it used to be. The management and menu changed. We aren't big sushi eaters, so we can't speak on that part of the menu. There are some good changes to the Chinese menu like the addition of sesame chicken, but other than that, the food just isn't as great as the previous family's cooking. The wonton soup and chicken chow mein used to be our go to, but they barely have any flavor anymore. We ordered pick up and a tourist came in looking for a lost cell phone. The employee almost laughed at them and treated them fairly rude. The environment has went from a family friendly restaurant to a packed, money making focused business. Try here if you're wanting the almond chicken or sesame chicken, and maybe the sushi, otherwise definitely take the hit to your wallet and go to New China down the street for better flavors and friendlier service. read more

This was undoubtedly the worst Asian food we have ever had! Ketchikan could use an Asian restaurant. We stopped in, thinking that we were going to be delighted to find something different from pizza, etc . The sauce was heavy and seemed to be out of a can. The shrimp was disgusting. We were on a cruise to Alaska and we were looking for a place to eat that was different than the food that was on the ship. This is definitely a local favorite in the Asian community there. There is nothing fancy about the place. You order downstairs and you proceed upstairs to find a place to sit and relax while they prepare your order. Your foods come to the table pretty quickly and food tastes like any where else you eat this type of food. The restaurant was pretty convent location for the tourist to get to also. read more

Hands down best place for sushi in Ketchikan! Have not been disappointed by any roll I have ordered. Keep in mind they do not do sushi on Wednesdays- When eating in the service takes longer but they are a small crew- Service is always excellent though. I've also ordered catering for work here- always a welcomed change from burgers or pizza- the veggie fried rice was awesome and everyone really liked the General Tso chicken. I really like how they have a small market for nibbles/snacks downstairs. read more

What is with $19 in Ketchikan? We saw the dried sea cucumbers at the window and it cures all ailments (sorry it's in Chinese). We had to try it. I can taste the sea. We ordered ginger sea cucumber with rice. Their ginger must be organic. Very spicy. It had a lot of onions, bell peppers, and green onions but it was still good. Came with big soup bowl of rice. Great for two people! We ate it all and even the juice. We ordered downstairs and went upstairs. All the windows were open which made it super cool. Saw all Filipinos. Then later Caucasian couple. Small place with restroom. Waiter was a young guy whose sunglasses broke. Nicest family who owns this place. Speaks Mandarin and English. read more

Great spot for Chinese food when your walking around Creek Street with views of the creek and wildlife. We stopped here for lunch and got some boba. The owner Wong is super nice and treated us like family. They have seals hunting salmon right out the windows that you can see. They also serve beer so that was a plus. read more

I used to come here as a child. I was in town and wanted to come for the nostalgia. We had the curry and sweet and sour chicken. Service was great, food was out in 10 minutes and the food was tasty. It's an old historic building and runs a little cold but if you like Chinese food it's worth the stop. read more

So we are spending the night in Ketchikan after a 10 day cruise. It is a cold and rainy night here so the wife and I decided to order delivery. I had the the Szechuan chicken and my wife ordered the Lemon chicken. We both also had the Wonton soup. The delivery was fast. I thought the Szechuan chicken was very good. My wife loved the Lemon chicken. But oh my the Wonton soup was amazing. Lots of Wontons and veggies in a great broth. I highly recommend if you are here and need a quick meal delivered. read more

Sesame balls are really the only redeeming factor here. Food is way too expensive and is mediocre at best. The lady who took my order was talking and acted as if I had rudely interrupted her when I was just trying to place my order, and she missed half my order because she was just trying to get back to her conversation. Also presumably the owners kid runs the till, a boy younger than 10 taking orders, handling money, and yelling loudly on calls with his friends the entire time I was there. This has been a consistent experience here and I would highly recommend eating anywhere else. read more

Wow! Cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff here! I ordered vegetable udon soup and chicken with broccoli to be delivered to my Mom who wasn't feeling well. I had accidentally given the wrong address. I called the minute I realized I messed up, but the delivery had already gone out to the wrong person. The delivery person went back to the place to see if possible to get it back, and discovered the people had already devoured the order, so he went back to the restaurant, made another meal and delivered it to my Mom in less than 30 minutes. The restaurant didn't charge me extra for my mistake, and went out of their way to provide excellent service. My Mom said the soup was healing and both dishes were delicious. Historically, this has been a five star restauraunt (in terms of deliciousness), but the last time I ate there, it was only ok. I do highly recommend the excellent dishes that I have had there in the past: twice cooked pork, broccoli beef, hot & sour and wonton soups, pan fried noodles, schezhuan beef, ma por tofu, and the most awesomely huge egg foo young (order extra sauce, it's big). I have also taken my kids there, & although there are some not-so-kid friendly stairs, the booths were perfect for keeping them in their seats & the view of Creek Street keept them occupied. They also loved the food (they were 2 & 4 when I wrote this). This is one of my favorite restaurants. read more

Went upstairs to use the bathroom while waiting for some Bubble Tea. Dirty dishes were stacked (crusted) skyscraper high. Got the bubble tea which tasted spoiled. If you have a stomach of steel go for it. We left and tossed the tea. read more

This review is not about the food. The food was a 3/5. This review is about the restaurant because this place offended me to my core. I understand when a place exists in a tourist heavy area, they raise their prices. The problem is, now that the tourist season is over I expect not to be treated as a complete idiot. I searched this place's menu online and found it on THEIR website (I will come back to this) where I saw that their prices were lower than the other asian food choices. I called in the order and went to go pick it up. To my surprise the price of the food was quite a bit higher than my calculations. Thinking that this could have been a mistake in my mathematical ability, I asked to see the bill. Much to my surprise the prices were all much higher than on the menu that I had looked at on THEIR website. This is the beginning of my problem. Now this is only an assumption, but what a great plan it would be to show lower prices online as to lure people into your restaurant, only to bait and switch them with higher prices. After showing up, who would leave just because they changed their prices. When I questioned the price change, the woman who also took my order over the phone impeccably started to change her speech pattern in order to sound like someone with a hearing impairment. As a tactic to deal with people who have found out their scam, this was greatly offensive because I have many friends with speech impairments and pretending to have one is NOT okay. Using her falsely acquired speech impairment, she then tried to deny that I was able to find a menu online. She said that the restaurant didn't have a website and therefore the menu wasn't theirs. So, I pulled up the menu OFF THEIR WEBSITE (I googled the restaurant and click the website button under their name which brings you to https://goodfortunerestaurant.weebly.com) showed her the prices that they had online. To this, her excuse was that people like to make websites about their restaurant, which even if that was the truth, how would they have acquired a picture of a menu that supposedly "doesn't exist". Not only will I never go here again, but I'm going to make it my life's work to make sure that places that pull this crap get a ZERO customers until they change their scamming ways. read more

Ordered delivery and was pleasantly surprised when they showed up in about 25 minutes! Great! Got to love that right? Orders General Tso, Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Fried rice & steamed rice. So the rice was $5.50 and comes in the smallest takeout container! Total rip off right there, I mean it's rice ffs, give us the a little more it's like 10 cents cost. The Beef was plain and lacked any kind kick to it (a recurring theme), but at least you could chew it...the general tso's chicken was flavorless globs of the driest chicken I've had, it was jerky enveloped in gobs upon gobs of batter & once in awhile a decent piece of chicken, the Orange chicken was also plain, they threw in what looked like chunks of pulp and peel the size of a dime/nickel but imparted no flavor, chunks of batter throughout with no chicken. It was a terrible dinner, it seemed as if they gave us hi Jen that had been sitting out all day knowing they wouldn't have to face us, it was an insult to my hard earned money, if this restaurant had legitimate competition they would be out of business the next day. The restaurant is good, and consistent with their quality of food. You know what you're going to get. It's been around for a long time and they have fair prices compared to places around town. I'm mostly giving a 5-star because another Yelp review gave them 1 because of faking a hearing/speech impairment. That person doesn't live here. I do. The person does have a speech issue, and it's not some scam. I've never heard of their website, either, so there's another point. All in all, fhey provide good service and good food at a reasonable price. read more
