We ordered a burger and fries and several halibut sandwiches. Because we ordered a burger it took way longer and people were getting their orders long before we ever got ours. When we finally got it about 20-25 minutes later they said it was because of the burger, so know that before you order. Thankfully the halibut sandwiches were really good and we loved them! It appears the primary customer base orders and then goes across the street to a bar. Their reputation causes them to be extremely busy, 25 minutes when we ordered and 45 minutes by the time we left. Those that choose to sit there, sit on two picnic tables that are jammed in by an employees car. Our burger was cold and dry, barely saved by their sauce. One burger and a coke for over $13, with the long wait was just not worth it. Definitely not a place I would recommend. You can get the same at any McDonald's. read more

Oh my gosh, what an incredible Halibut sandwich! Thick and juicy with just a little bit of breading, I am going to be dreaming about this sandwich for years. We were here on a Cunard Cruise stop, and our van tour guide told us about Burger Queen. It's a tiny hole in the wall place with no real seating, but you can order at the window and they will deliver it to you across the street at The Arctic Char, the friendliest, oldest bar in the town. Ordered the fish & chips and a cherry malt. The malt was great. The fish was good and thick. The fries were alright. They deliver and there are only two benches outside. The location is near the tunnel and loud. The smoke from the grills also blows out onto the seating area. Found on yelp while in the area. Did not want a tourist trap restaurant. Stumbled on this small place after coming through the tunnel. Told us the wait would be 45 minutes. Sure why not. I love that you're ordering at the window and eating at a picnic table in a gravel parking lot that might hold 2, mane 3 cars. Seek out the local joints. Somewhat of a worn down spot just outside of downtown Ketchikan is this unpretentious little burger joint. There is an outdoor dining area with several picnic tables but no indoor dining. You order your food in a tiny window and then wait for your order to come out. The wait is totally worth it. This is one of the best burgers I've had in a long time...maybe ever. I ordered the Seattle Burger which is a cheeseburger with bacon plus sauted onions and mushrooms. It was phenomenal. A large patty of flavorful beef, cheese slices, bacon and covered with the onions and mushrooms. If you're in Ketchikan for the day on a cruise ship, it's worth the taxi ride a few miles up town to get yourself a real treat. My tip is to phone in your order. It will take about 20-25 minutes for your order to come out. Exactly the amount of time it takes to get your ride and motor up to this place. Burger Queen will not disappoint. read more

They make some pretty good burgers. It took about 15 minutes to get my burger and fries, and the line was pretty long to order. The bars in the area do not serve food, so they send everyone here. You can take your food and bring it to the bar to eat. There is not enough seating for people to eat outside. Just a few picnic tables. The "burger b$$$" (says it on his shirt) was fun to watch. He told me he was tired of looking at me and said he will get my order ASAP. He knew everyone was waiting awhile. His comments were not something you would hear from any restaurant but that's what made the restaurant stand different. Memorable to say the least. I would consider going back. I stayed in Ketchikan for a week and enjoyed all types of food and adventures. Burger Queen was hands down the best meal I had while there. Yes I had king crab, Dungeness crab, and halibut. I don't even know how to describe the burger, it has a very unique flavor and it's amazing. Every local I talked to said I had to try it, they were spot on. When you order, you go to the bar next door and grab a drink. They will bring you your burger at the bar. The bar was cool too. I AM SO SAD THIS PLACE IS SO FAR AWAY FROM WHERE I LIVE! my husband and I stopped in during a Ketchikan port stop, where we mostly hopped around checking out the town and local food and drink. Since we were making a few stops, we just shared a milk shake and a burger. The milkshake was probably one of the best milkshakes I've ever had. We went with a Coffee Toffee combination, which the girl at the counter then informed us was her favorite. It was SO good. Thick, incredibly flavorful. It came out before the burger and was almost gone by then, it was so good. (Thisnis why there is no picture of it. Oops.) We ordered the basic cheeseburger, which was definitely good. Not the BEST burger I've ever had, but if I lived here I would totally be a regular. The combination of toppings were really great and a little less typical with their homemade thousand island dressing. As I'm posting the picture I also remembered what a great but this burger had. It was so soft and tasted really fresh! Normally the bun is more of a vehicle for burger delivery as far as I'm concerned, but this one really added something to the burger. A lot of other things on the menu looked really great as well! It's a small operation with a few tables inside and two picnic tables outside, but you can also order delivery to the Asylum bar right next door, which has incredibly cheap local beer on draft. This is Ketchikan's version and they have good add ons and such. Right now, with Covid, they have one table outside. Ordinarily, they have a few inside. This place is a Ketchikan staple. I work on a ship that ports here every week, and I wouldn't dare miss getting my weekly burger fix. Reasonably priced and always tasty. Pairs perfectly with their bomb milkshakes that come in about 100 different flavors. The best part is THEY BRING YOUR FOOD OVER TO THE BAR NEXT DOOR OR ACROSS THE STREET. Nothing better than calling an order in, downing a couple of shots and then having a burger and shake hand delivered to you.
