When we tried Janet's training methods or suggestions and really stuck to them, we saw a totally different dog.

Beth is nothing but amazing! She changed our life for the better. She took our wild, fun, crazy…read moredogs and turned them into wild, fun, & well behaved dogs! She has a great sense of humor and makes training so much fun. Chico and Zorro thrived under her instruction and loved going each week. She spent as much time as needed to make sure they were performing as they should. You can truly see her love for the dogs she works with. We will definitely be using her again in the future, if needed. She has turned our hectic life with two pups into an enjoyable time! I can't recommend her enough!!

Beth is an amazing individual. She is fun, and engaging. She seems to know her shit. But overall I…read moregive this rating a 3.5. Why? Because Beth needs a manager. Beth cannot handle her own schedule and does not show up to work. And hey, maybe Beth does have 8000 family and personal problems. That's not my business. What is my business is my dog, who goes weeks without any form of consistency. Beth is great short term. Im talking 2-3 classes. But any more than that and you're at risk for serial cancelations. Beth is very knowledgeable. Day one she will assess your dog. I like this. She will tell you where you're at and tailor your dogs program. Beth works on the weekends. Do not cancel things for her because she will not cancel things for you. After a year my dog still has not learned the things he needs to be a therapy dog, which may be partially due to temperament but definitely has something to do with the consistency. Edit for response: at least 2-3 of our original 8, which we didn't get, were 20 minutes long. Not okay. I'd say we got 6-7 before we were thrown into general group classes. And not even 6-7 full classes. Two were review of the test. Umm- I think I can read!!! Not worth those classes!

I just can't come up with the words to express how grateful I am to Mike for the tools and training…read morehe has provided in just four hours working with Marley and me. I decide to give Marley one more chance before I was force to part with my 13 lb. monster that would bite both my husband and I for no reason or when we were trying to train him. We were not mean to this puppy and he was not abused before us as we purchased him at 8 weeks old. He was just a mean spirited dog. At three months I hired a dog psychologist and she recommended some techniques for control and also a puppy trainer. When we completed 7 weeks of puppy training Marley loved the treats he learned as rewards, but he still had the bad habit of growling and biting when we least expected. Before and during the 7 months of being a dog owner I did a lot of research and read 6-7 books on training and aggressive behavior. After a lot of soul searching I decided to give Marley one more chance and I found K9 Off Leash on the internet and signed up for 4 training sessions. I am so happy I did , with Mike's training and patience Marley is a completely different dog. This is our story with a very happy ending. Marley is no longer biting us and has a great start mastering the basics to becoming a puppy every body loves.

I recently went on a vacation and needed to determine where I was going to leave my German Shepherd…read morepuppy. I have had bad experiences in the past with boarding at local kennels, so I knew I needed to do something different. I also wanted to have some obedience training done, but assumed I would do that at a different time. During my Google searches for "kennels," "boarding," "dog obedience training," etc., I discovered Off Leash K9 Training, and there was a Lansing area location. When I saw the Board & Train Package, I knew my search was coming together. After thinking about the training, the E-collar, and being away from my puppy, I had reservations. I would be leaving my puppy with someone I had not met; someone my dog had not met, and I became uncomfortable with my decision. I called the trainer, Mike Christie. He understood my hesitation and agreed to come to my house to meet me and my dog, and he did not make an additional charge. He spent 90 minutes with me and my dog. When I was preparing for my trip, I had a vehicle issue and had to take my SUV to the mechanic. Mike came to my house and picked up my dog; again, there was no additional charge. While on my vacation, Mike sent pictures by text message of my dog in training and in play with his dog. I felt like my dog was a part of Mike's family, and not just a job. My vacation lasted longer than the two weeks I expected (and the two weeks covered by the package I purchased), but Mike kept my dog for an additional four days, and, yet again, there was no additional charge. Finally, Monday evening my schedule allowed me to get my puppy. Mike was waiting with Klink when I arrived. The puppy had grown in both size and maturity. Mike took nearly two hours to discuss what I needed to do to maintain the training, and what to expect from Klink when we got home. He knows dogs better than anyone I have met. He showed me what Klink learned, and what he tries to do but needs further encouragement to accomplish. Klink can now join my wife and me in the living room and on the deck and even in the basement when we workout. He behaves and has focus that I had not imagined he would ever have. Mike also told me that if Klink needs any "touch-up" training, he will take care of it with no additional charge. I had left Mike with a rowdy puppy that only understood his needs and wants. I now have a puppy that seems to really want to respond to what I expect of him. He is almost as anxious to learn as he is to play. I strongly recommend Mike Christie and Off Leash K9 Training to anyone who has a dog that is less than perfect! Steve Morgan
