I have to echo all the rave reviews for Janet and the variety of classes offered through Good Dog…read more Like others have said, she changed our lives and our relationship with our dog. We learned so many important things through her private training and the puppy socialization course. She turned our puppy into our friend who turned into a family member who turned into our first child! Within the first week of receiving our Beabull puppy (3/4 English Bulldog, 1/4 Beagle) two years ago, she began to behave obnoxiously dominant. She would attack my ankles any time we would play, if we tried to hold her down to show our dominance she would NEVER tire of scratching our arms until they were bloodied and bruised, she would do the opposite of everything we asked/showed, and she humped me all the time. There were times that I would cry on the couch because of her behavior, and times my husband confessed that coming home felt like more work than his actual job because of he could never just relax with our dog acting out nonstop. Janet came to our home and made our jaws drop, as her presence changed our dog's behavior immediately. She never lost her patience and taught me how to assert dominance easily. Her guidance rewards good behavior and helped us feel mounds more confident when faced with difficult moments. Our frustration decreased steadily and our pup slowly began to treat us with respect and love. She stopped attacking my heels within a day, and let us hold her down/put our hands in and on her mouth/ears/paws quickly. The humping has stopped over time and she listens very well. I never cried because of my dog after we were helped by Janet. I also recommend so highly the Puppy Socialization class. Aside from our wee one learning sit, down, shake, stay, come and how to walk on a leash better, she made some puppy friends and overcame her shyness around bigger dogs by the end of the course. We were also introduced to the agility/games course which was SO MUCH FUN! We noticed a big change in our dog's confidence and also loyalty to us as we built our bond through training. Additionally, all the staff seems very in tune with each dogs individual needs and never let anyone feel embarrassed or unwelcome because of a misbehavior. Good Dog Training was the catalyst for positive behavior with our dog. I credit the staff and Janet for teaching us how to become amazing parents to our pup and for giving our girl confidence and a conscience.

Let me first say that Sasha will be the only dog sitter I go to from now on!…read more So I was out of state for 3 weeks during the holiday and needed someone to take care of my 10 m/o Shiba Inu (Bim). It was a long period, so I was really considerate and careful when choosing the dog sitter. Then I met Sasha and she completely gained my trust! She offered to meet before the actual date to get to know my pup. She took the schedule and every instruction I gave her seriously and she stick to it! I honestly can not do a better job myself. Of course Sasha gave me up to date on my puppy everyday (she took amazing pictures lol). Tbh I was even a bit jealous to see Bim having so much fun with her :D One HUGE bonus point: Bim actually gets better with commands and he even learns some new tricks!!

But once she saw where I lived and that I'm a doctor, the cost went up. She seemed to have forgotten that she gave me the fee schedule and was charging me more. But I had a business trip so I didn't complain at the time. As soon as I got to the airport for my trip I was bombarded with texts and calls about my dog. The woman who was actually walking my dog had been not been given any of the instructions about my dog and did not show up when I had asked (she didn't know this either). I was furious and very concerned. I called the owner who chewed me out. THIS DOG SERVICE COSTS MORE THAN ANY AGENCY I HAVE EVER USED....I've lived all over the country and my walkers everywhere cost less. California, New Orleans, NY, MO, IL, PA, MI - all less. I fired them and she refused to refund me all of the remaining money and I was very concerned that they had a copy of my house key (I got it back but I was still very worried after this woman's irratic behavior.) Consider yourself warned.

They took their time with us to make sure they had all the information, and when she was cold they wrapped her in a warm towel. My dog was incredibly sick and feeble, and her previous vet didn't ask questions and treated her like a quota, sending us away in five minutes. ELVC fought for her just as hard as I did, and never gave up on her. They sent me a card when she passed away, and I still have the card hung up on my wall.
