I can now truly say that you don't need to be elderly to get cheated by Good 'n Quick. By the way, they are neither good nor quick. I left my Durango with them for 3 days to get my fuel pump replaced. I told them that I wanted my old fuel pump after they replaced it. Of course they didn't save my bad fuel pump. The truck still stalls as much as it did before. It should be accelerating better, if not because the repairs, because my wallet is $550 lighter. When I took it back to them to tell them I'm still having problems they said the fuel pump needed to be replaced but they never said it was causing my engine sluggishness. They will rebuild or replace the transmission for $2800 - $4000. Eek! Methinks not.

I was sadly mistaken. I got the garlic Parmesan wings. Usually(not always), this flavor is not very spicy, which is why I order it. At this company, this flavor is moderately or very spicy. The quality of the meat isn't as good as KFC, or even KwikStar's own chicken tenders. We won't be getting these again. The staff here is awesome. The place is clean. Prices are about average for boneless wings. I also got the KitchenCravings devil egg potato salad and it was very close to how my mom made potato salad. A bit pricey, but it was worth it. This doesn't look like your average gas station from the outside-- or what it offers inside. There is plenty of parking and this spot really is pretty popular, with many folks local and not perusing. Bathroom were clean and the staff was friendly, but not super helpful. What I was most impressed by was the massive gift section. There were Hawkeye/Cyclone items, decor, wine and much more. Had I spent more time there, I am sure I would have walked out with a birthday present for my mother in-law or mom! Additionally, there is an Arbys (with a drive thru) and Godfathers housed here. Plus a robust amount of prepared food in the gas station itself. This is a gem!

So as a gas station, this place does what its supposed to, including getting in and out efficiently. One thing the Kwik Star chains have going for them is an impressive array of road snacks, including sweet rolls/donuts that would match a stand alone shop. I also appreciated the clean restrooms and a decent cup of coffee for the road.

You have a woman there, short blonde hair with glasses whose life work it seems is to make sure these are rung up properly. It meant that I needed a gas station before I hit my final destination. I did a search on my map app and found this BP gas station at Dows Junction. It was on my route. Perfect! After doing a pit stop across the street at Dows Rest Area, I headed over to Dows Junction. It has BP, a convenience store, Godfather's Pizza, and Arby's. I visited half the businesses here. BP was my first stop. I then hit Arby's because I needed fuel. I love the BP app. It's so easy to keep your points and credit cards stowed. You pull out your app and indicate that you want to pay for gas. The app locates the gas station where you are at, you enter your pump number, the app unlocks it, and you fuel away. The app is Canadian credit card-friendly. Many American-based apps can't handle postal codes when it comes to entering your credit card information with a billing address. This app does. There must be five or six pumps here. There were a handful of folks pumping gas when I got here. When I left, it was still doing steady business. The pump that I used worked well. This gas station was exceptionally clean and nicely maintained. The best part about using the app is that when you purchase a cumulative total of $100 worth of gas fill-ups, you unlock a five-cent-per-litre discount off all gas purchases for the rest of that month. Considering how crazy gas prices have been, it was a nice discount to take advantage of. I liked fuelling my car here that I came back the next day to fill my car up as I drove back to Bloomington. It's a decent gas station. I'd return here if I plan on doing another road trip to Des Moines. (442)
