I want to like this place. I really do. They have some of the best deals and some of their artists are pretty good. But it is so unorganized and SLOW! If you're going to have a flash sale, you should have enough artists that can accommodate the influx in business. The owner just putts around, pretending to be busy, rather than helping out his already stressed out team. It's also pretty unprofessional to ask your artists to have their appointment, who is already there, WAIT while you tattoo a walk in. read more

I have taken some time to think about writing this because I understand that reviews can harm a business, however I want to share my experience so customers understand what they are getting themselves into. I originally went to Coopa Creations to get a tragus piercing. The girl did an amazing job and it was an awesome time. It's been about a week since then and I have had no complications. Earlier this morning the front ball of the piercing fell off and was nowhere to be found. The girl at Coopa is only there on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I live close to good and evil so I stopped in to see if they had a replacement and could fix it for me. There was only two people there, and one of them was working on a tattoo. The other was not doing anything, and when I said what I needed he seemed like he did not want to do it and asked the other guy to. The guy tattooing said he was busy and he would appreciate it if he could do it. I took a seat and waited ten minutes for him to set up a room. I understand I was a walk in appointment, but he went out to smoke and was talking to people. It almost seemed like he was procrastinating seeing me. He finally came in and reeked of cannabis. He was looking at it and tried on the ball, in which it did not fit. He then did this three more times. He kept trying different piercings in which nothing would fit. He said he knew what he needed but could not find it. He got so frustrated that he was shouting fuck repeatedly. He then yelled for the guy who was tattooing and said he could not find the piece he needed. The other guy stood up from where he was working, grabbed the right piece and gave it to him immediately. The guy still seemed frustrated and angry. He was shaking when trying to put the ball back on. He was pulling at the piercing aggressively trying to maneuver my ear, knowing I told him it was a fresh piercing. I had tears in my eyes when he finally got it. He did not treat me like a person. It was so painful and that thought never crossed his mind. The other guy tattooing apologized for his anger and didn't make me pay for the jewelry ball replacement. I am now writing this a couple hours later, and my piercing that had no complications prior is now swollen, throbbing, and bleeding non-stop. An easy fix was extremely complicated and handled unprofessionally. I wouldn't recommend anything about this place. I just felt so uncomfortable the whole time and now I am suffering the consequences of someone's carelessness. I am sorry again, I know reviews can harm businesses but I think people should know this about the staff of this place before going in for a body modification. read more

UPDATE: The owner personally reached out to me after my initial review. He was extremely professional, apologized sincerely for my experience, and let me know that the artist involved is no longer employed at the shop. He also refunded my $100 deposit without hesitation. I really appreciate the great customer service and the way he handled the situation--very respectful and responsive. Thank you for making it right. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paid Matt Isaacs a $100 deposit on June 12 to sketch a tattoo design that I sent him an exact picture of. I was told would be ready in a few days. Over a month later--after broken phones, lost info, and multiple follow-ups--I finally got a sketch on July 22. Asked for minor tweaks, but never got them. On July 30, I canceled (11 days before the appt) and was met with multiple "blocked" text messages (I have proof) before being told nothing was blocked. I requested my $100 back, since it was never stated as non-refundable--only that it would hold the appt and go toward the tattoo. He refused after several attempts and told me I was "stocking" him. I also contacted the owner Bob Johnson via email - he never responded. Pretty sure I'm not the first person Matt has ripped off, seems like he knows just how to do it. Poor communication, long delays, and unprofessional handling. Would not recommend Matt Isaacs or Good and Evil Tattoo shop. read more

She takes her time and it really shows that her work is just as important to her as it is to the person having it done. I can't say enough good things about her. I really thought long and hard about posting this. I know reviews can hurt a business but my concern for others has out weighted my hesitation. These are some photos of the sand dollar I got done at Good &Evil about 2 months ago. I went in asking for the most realistic sand dollar as possible. I showed Matt this board of sand dollars so he could see all the natural coloring and sizes. I said "the most important thing for me is that all the details are in the tattoo". I was told the tattoo needed to be this size due to all of the details I wanted. So we went from wanting something slightly bigger than a quarter to a softball because I could get all the details in it. Yet I am sure you can see from the pictures that's not what I got. Matt's demeanor and behavior throughout my 3 hour consultation was extremely unprofessional. He was quiet literally falling asleep while sketching out the sand dollar. I asked if he was okay and he said he had allergies and needed to take a smoke break. I should of left then, but I trusted the shop. He looked like he was falling asleep the whole time he was tattooing me. He got up 4x for cigarette breaks. Each taking about 10 minutes. So almost 40 minutes of my time was spent waiting on him. Then when he came back to the chair he smelt like an ash tray. At the end, the artist noticed I wasn't thrilled and told me I could come back in five days for white ink to be added. "That would lighten it up". After three days, I wasn't sure white ink would completely fix the tattoo so I reached out to the owner of the shop in hopes he would make this right. Unfortunetly that didn't happen. He asked me to come back in 3 weeks and said he would take care of it for me. The day of my appointment he let me know he was unable to tattoo me because of health reasons. (Compeletly underatandable) What's not understandable is he suggested the original tattoo artist to fix it instead of him. LIKE WHAT?? Why would I want that??? He asked me to wait two weeks for him to heal which was fine. It's been almost two months and he never reached back out to me. If he at least reached out I wouldn't of wrote this. It was absoulutly clear that my concerns about this tattoo was not taken serious. While I waited two weeks for the owner to heal I I reached out to get a second, third and fourth options. I went to 4 other highly rated tattoo shops in the area and all FOUR said "wow I wouldn't touch that tattoo". "Do not add more ink to that tattoo it will just get worse." Three of the shops recommended I pay to laser it off and start over. This was devistating. They wouldn't even try and fix it, because there was no fixing it. The damage was done. Please consider all of this before going to a Good & Evil. read more

Bob is a great tattoo artist. He had very clean surfaces, needles, more gloves, and made sure the tattoo I wanted was just right. He was also very mindful about how sensitive skin can react to tattoos. I will definitely be back for more tattoos! Make sure to reach out to him on Facebook or call ahead of time. read more

This was a fun experience for a matching tattoo with my friends. We were able to walk in, and I think some artists were called in early which I thought was really nice. The waiting area was really comfortable. There was a fun vibe between all of the artists there and it was a fun experience as well as a great tattoo.
