Came in from NJ with my family (our 7month old son's first trip to Maine!) and wanted to commemorate the trip with a tattoo of his footprints. This was a studio I'd been following and was hopeful for an appt. Was able to chat with Kara and we found time that worked. Everyone at the shop was smiling and friendly and Kara was so welcoming. We had a great time chatting while she worked (very efficiently at that!). Her creativity with the design was amazing and the tattoo exceeded my expectations. I love it! Review for piercings only. Nick Holes (uber-certified, ultra-friendly, super-qualified piercer extraordinaire) is the ONLY person I'd recommend getting pierced from in the Portland peninsula. No need to worry about infections, misplaced piercings, or going to someone who's more concerned with profit than safety; Nick takes sanitation/piercing care/other precautions very seriously. He is a very calming presence and is great at talking through the piercing process as well as much-needed important aftercare. The space is small yet welcoming and is central to Portland's downtown. Spear can't be held in place in the crook of the arm by an elbow . Looked up horse coloring book online . I just had my second piercing appointment with Nick and I can't say enough about his professionalism, skill, and experience. I originally went to see him last year to reopen a lobe hole that had closed up on me. When I decided I wanted to work on new ear stacks, I emailed Nick about what I envisioned. He was able to help me understand the best way to group the piercings I wanted and how to space them out over time. He let me know that he needed to check my ears to see if the lobe additions I want would work with my ear anatomy, which he did (and they will!). We made a plan to start with a same side rook and conch, and made a schedule for going forward. I'm super happy with the way the piercings came out and Nick, as always, is a perfectionist with a deft hand. He's super communicative the entire time and checks in frequently. Everything is super sanitary, all the needles are sterile and opened in front of you during the appointment and the aftercare instructions are super thorough. It's clear that Nick loves what he does and takes a lot of pride in doing well. I can't recommend him enough. read more

Rebeka does amazing and consistent work. She is thorough with consultations and transparent about pricing and time frame. She checked in with me multiple times throughout to make sure I was comfortable and happy. There are snack and water stations throughout the studio as well. The studio itself is beautiful and alive with plants, art, and fish. My experiences here have made me not want to go anywhere else as this place is at a level I feel no other studio has achieved. I had a tattoo done by Kara Munro over the weekend and I cannot say enough good things about Kara and the whole shop! Kara took the time to really listen to what I wanted and drew a beautiful design that was exactly what I was hoping for. Even when I requested minor changes during the process, she was super chill about it and really went above and beyond to ensure that I had the design I wanted. I was actually moved to tears when it was done! He was deeply compassionate and clearly dedicated to doing his best and working with me, while in a very chill and welcoming atmosphere! My piercings were a special case because I have scarring and not only did he take that in stride and work with me like he did it every single day, he was kind, professional, and clearly super knowledgeable and prepared. She is phenomenal from her personality to her skills. We are currently working on a cover up project from an early 2000s chest piece.... We initially had the consult and from that conversation and photo examples I provided - Rebeka drew the perfect tattoo for me. She was able to create the perfect drawing of exactly what I wanted! My first cover up appointment consisted of line work and it went by even faster than I anticipated because Rebeka works fast and efficiently. Her line work is out of this world.
