Jeff was not only professional and talented, but also funny and welcoming. He made the whole experience feel comfortable and special. He went above and beyond, even fitting in an extra last-minute tattoo for someone in our group. Jeff took the time to make sure each design and placement was perfect, and he walked my 69 yr old dad through his very first tattoo with patience and care. The shop itself is open and relaxed, with lots of Jeff's amazing artwork on display. And his dog is absolutely adorable, which made the visit even better. Jeff is a fantastic artist and a great human. If you're thinking about getting a tattoo in Portland, go see him. You won't regret it!

It was my first time getting a tattoo, and everyone in the shop was super friendly and made me feel really comfortable, considering that I had never gone through it before. The pricing isn't bad either, especially compared to other tattoo shops. Minimum charge of $52.75, which is what both me and my friend paid for our small tattoos. I did hear about a more negative experience from my friend regarding her piercing though. She got an industrial, and it ripped out a few weeks after she got it pierced because her ear didn't have enough of a fold - and the piercer didn't let her know. Just from hearing this, I would say go here for the tattoos and probably somewhere else for the piercings.

It was quite some time since I had the tattoo done but I have never recommended them since. My…read moretattoo ended up being much larger than I wanted and that is because the artist said it would look better like that so he continued to do it in the size he wanted. It was late when I had this done but I was not expecting to be there for almost 5 hours. He was getting tired and kids were running in and out of the shop. I'm assuming they were his children. I think getting a tattoo completed at almost 11:00 at night is way too late. There was no indication that this tattoo would ever take that long. The worst part of it is that the tattoo ended up infected and when I went back to the shop I was told it's because I wore jeans and it rubbed against the tattoo. So all I could assume from that point on is that all the men that go in there and get tattoos on their legs must wear skirts? This was the second tattoo I got done there. I should have realized after the first one not to go back but they gave me a really good excuse about why the first one blew out. Knowing what I know now, many years later I realized it was because it was the tattoo artist mistake and not just because my skin doesn't accept red ink. I have since become established with an amazing artist and every one of the artists at the shop she works at laugh at the idea that he told me my body does not accept red ink and that's why it blew out. Lesson learned, unfortunately it is one that will be on my body forever. I guess I should say too that will be on my body forever. One of them is unseen because it is up by the nape of my neck but the other one is on my leg and since I am so unhappy with it I have never worn anything that would show it. I keep it hidden at all times.

This place is as good as it gets…read more A few friends and I found this place when another shop suggested we check them out, and we we thrilled. The shop is a small, and warm space both comfortable as well as clean and friendly. We had called with a very vague idea of what we wanted and within a matter of hours they had something drawn up that was better than any of us expected. We were all getting matching tattoos and not one of us had a single change to make to the drawing. It was exactly what we wanted but couldn't quite put into words, but these guys managed to sketch it out and it was spot on. The shop owner was really nice as was the other artist (Brad) who did my tattoo. Both worked fast and diligently with the friendly banter you'd expect from a barber shop. Brad, who tattooed me, had a light hand and did a great job with the colors. Start to finish the whole experience was exactly what you want in a tattoo shop. The prices are more than fair, the work is outstanding, the shop looks great, the artists are honest and dedicated. If there were 6 stars they would get them. If you are looking to get tattooed and you live anywhere near this place do yourself a favor and check them out. Myself and my friends who got tattooed there are thrilled and everything about this shop soared above our expectations.

Because of Kaitlyn I have a signature look. I went for years and years (and years and years)…read morewithout a haircut because I was traumatized by mediocre stylists who a) had their own agenda or b) didn't listen to what I wanted. And then I read about this rare (what I thought was a mythical) creature - a stylist who actively cared about what her clients wanted, while also providing brutally honest feedback about their current hair situation and their hair vision, but then worked with them to achieve something otherworldly. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but that's how I've felt. I came to Kaitlyn with a tangly brown limp mess. I wanted an ombre (a multi toned hair effect) of my natural hair color to white then blue. Instead she offered up a moderate balyage (highlights blending seamlessly) of aquatic. The next time I saw her, more of my hair was balayaged with aquatic, and now basically my whole head is aquatic colored. She transformed me into a sea queen, and everywhere I go people compliment my mermaid hair (no, really, they do). And I legit had nothing to do with it. I never thought I'd have ocean-inspired hair, but it looks so natural that the first time I did it people were like "yeah, that's how you were always supposed to look." WHAT? She also trims me up and offers advice on how to manage the style (french braids are a go, messy buns always work, pony's should be avoided, and can we bring back the scrunchie already?). And I know, without a doubt, that the moment I were to walk in and say, "I'm done with this, could I have something 'normal' please?" she'd find the exact perfect look for me, my face structure, my skin tone, my personality. My partner also sees her every four to five weeks; she keeps his hair and beard line fresh. Love the studio itself - it's small but very modern, minimalist chic. There's ONLY street parking, so if you're in it for more than two hours you might wanna consider Ubering. Also, there are other talented stylists who work here, so maybe go see them? Because Kaitlyn's booking up way to fast and far out now for my liking. (No, it's okay, really, you can see her too... Iet's live in a world where everyone loves their gorgeous hairdos).
