Enchiladas
Jennifer D.

Ate here twice, so both servers were fantastic. We tried something different each time. SO had the chimichangas and pork carnitas, while I had the Enchiladas and chicken n shrimp fajitas. All was good, but the pork carnitas were my favorite, and the chimichangas were his, with the carnitas being his second favorite and the enchiladas were mine. We ate on the patio both times, and enjoy people watching.

The "five" dips we had including the Bean Dip

We came here while in New York, New York and ordered the three dip plate with guacamole on the side. They bring you salsa and chips so we basically had five dips to try. The guac was kinda mild but smooth and tasted good. The sour cream was really good and I usually don't love it. The bean dip was very warm and tasted amazing it was kinda grainy but good. None of us really liked the queso because it was too Smokey and tasted off. The salsa was way too runny for me and didn't have much flavor in my opinion, that's also the only sauce we did not finish. The chips were very warm, had a good amount of salt, and were crispy. The atmosphere was very Hispanic with the decorations and stuff being shown on the TVs. The ceiling was exposed to the New York, New York ceiling.

This is a hidden gem in Las Vegas! I saw on TikTok that there was a Wednesday night special for bottomless margaritas and tacos for $40. I made a reservation for me and my 4 girlfriends. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and promptly sat. Our server Josue was extremely informative and helpful. The choices for the margaritas were watermelon, lavender, classic and hibiscus. The choices for tacos were beef, chicken and carne asada. I had the lavender and hibiscus margaritas. They were big and strong! I had the chicken and carne asada tacos and they were amazing. We will definitely be back for our girls nights once a month at the LEAST! Worth every single penny.

Located inside New York New York they offer inside restaurants dining and outside restaurants seating. Hostess is not always at the podium so you might need to wait. Servers are polite. Food was OK but not what I anticipated for Las Vegas.

Fajita burrito with red sauce, very nice!

We ate there last night 12 May 26. Service was good, food was served very quick, it was hot fresh and very tasty! The star of the show was the young man that was working the pass. We were there for just over an hour and that kid was almost running back and forth, checking food, delivering it to tables, wiping down serving trays. I have never seen a restaurant employee with that much hustle! One of the other employees dropped something on the floor, I watched the kid pick up the mess, remove his now dirty gloves and toss them in the trash, sanitized his hands and re-glove. If I had a restaurant in Vegas I woukd have offered to double his pay and stole him on the spot.

3 Crispy Beef Tacos hit the spot! Shells were nicely fried.

What's better than people watching in Las Vegas? Well, it's people watching while eating tacos, of course. Lucky for me on a Tuesday afternoon, this restaurant was serving up quick food in a casual "courtyard" area where you could sit and have fun watching.. I was hanging around in NY NY and needed a snack and for some reason, the 3 crispy tacos jumped off the menu (not literally as I was not on LSD... yet). The tacos were delicious with a crispy fried non-corn taco shell that wasn't greasy at all. They didn't get soggy either which was nice (I ate them fairly quickly though). They could have used more cheese, but it wasn't a pathetic amount like some places. The cilantro rice and black beans were bland AF though. Nothing special about them at all. I took a few bites and stopped. Service was good with some water refills coming quickly. I was in an out in about 20 mins during non-peak hours.

The table-side guacamole is the only good thing about this place! Located in New York New York, decorator for Christmas was some of the saddest Christmas decorations I've seen in all of Las Vegas! I have been here 2 separate times on 2 different trips. Personally I love Mexican food and hoped coming back this place would be ok but NOPE. It is apparent that the restaurant was understaffed or the staff just doesn't care. Both times it took us over 30 minutes to get a drink. When our drinks came they were wrong. Food was subpar leaving our entire group not feeling good after dinner.

Alyssia N.

The food was really good here. They were fast to get the food and drinks out. I also really liked the menu. The only thing was they don't have tables for larger parties. They were able to make it work but it was a little disjointed. They also stopped bringing us water even though we were still eating dessert and talking. I thought the service could have been better.

Veggie Fajitas w/ cilantro rice and black beans
Diane N.

The food was very satisfying. Choose cilantro rice and black beans for vegetarian/ vegan options. The service was very helpful and pleasant. The atmosphere was welcoming and decor was clean and goes with the theme especially when you step outside it's a casino lol but overall I like this place we went back a few times after.

Modelo
Christal M.

We were looking for a nice place to have a casual, sit-down meal in the New York New York Hotel and this place seemed like the best option. It's located in the middle of the downstairs food area where everything looks like the streets of NYC. The decor is cute and colorful. If you sit on the patio, you get a view of the "street" and it's a good spot for people watching. We were seated right away and ordered drinks to start. They have a decent selection of tequila, margaritas and beers. We opted for beers since they had Modelo on draft ($11). The drinks came quickly and were a good size. For food, we shared the Gonzalez Nachos ($14.95) with ground beef and Enchiladas ($19.95) with carnitas. The nachos were loaded with beef, refried beans, cheeses, guacamole, sour cream and salads. This was pretty filling. Our waiter recommended to get the enchiladas with carnitas and green sauce and we were glad we listened. The carnitas were flavorful and the rice and beans were good. The enchiladas needed more sauce but I was able to ask for more on the side. This isn't a place to go out of your way for but it is a solid choice for basic Mexican food if you're staying in the hotel.

Dayana was amazing Thank you for the great service Gonzalez Gonzalez is our favorite place in Vegas

Tableside Guacamole

Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat late at night Pleasantly surprised by the fresh guacamole made tableside in front of you-tasted really good - this was the highlight Disappointed with the chicken quesadilla- I make better at home Also the service was slow and the sangria was not great Margaritas looked good - but didn't try

He made it, but the drink I got didn't really have any of the flavors described. The only hint I'll give is that it's located on the casino floor. When we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess. She asked us if we had reservations or were walking in. I really appreciated this because the way she phrased her question told me they had availability and we would be granted entry. The bar is very small and seats about 30. Reservations are strongly encouraged, however we went on a Monday in February. If you're going on a weeknight during off peak season, you should be okay without a reservation. The hostess gave us the option of sitting at the bar or at a table. We asked her for her rec and she said the bar so that's what we chose. The decor is beautiful. The ambiance is dark and moody. It's perfect for a date night. We were greeted by both bartenders. I believe the bartender that made our drinks was Rory. He was very nice and knowledgeable about cocktails. He was able to answer our questions and make suggestions based on our preferences. As we browsed the menu, we were presented with welcome drinks in a fancy smoky container. I don't recall the name of the drink, but it had a lychee flavor with a sugar rim and it was good! Drinks are extremely pricey which is to be expected in Vegas. It's also on par based on where the speakeasy is located (hint hint). The cheapest cocktail was $30 so prepare yourself for the sticker shock. Some drinks were $80-$100! Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. I went with the Velvet Moon which was an interesting cocktail consisting of both gin and mezcal. It had flavors of hibiscus and it also had egg white which I absolutely love! The presentation was beautiful and I really enjoyed it! My friend went with the Basilico Bliss which he enjoyed. I didn't try any, but it looked really good. As we were enjoying our drinks, the staff presented us with savory bar snacks. They were tasty and were a perfect compliment to our cocktails. They do have food on the menu, but we had already eaten so we stuck with our complimentary snacks. As we were closing out, the staff presented us with a complimentary mini dessert. Rory described it as a Carajillo Jello shot. I don't like jello (I hate the texture), but I do love Carajillos. My friend does not drink coffee and does not like coffee flavor, so I ate both of them. They were so delicious (but the texture was off putting lol). I typically don't mention the restrooms in my reviews, but this one is worth mentioning. All I have to say is heated seats with a bidet! We really enjoyed our visit. Had the drinks not been so pricey, we probably would have stayed longer. If you enjoy speakeasies and/or craft cocktails, go have a drink at The Vault! The experience alone is worth it!
