OMG - I love this company!!!! Mr. Gonzalez is a professional who came and gave us an estimate and stuck to his word. He was knowledge of every aspect of the the re-plastering of our family pool. Saved us a ton of money because he was truthful with respect to what was needed to get us up and running. He worked within the estimated job completion time and stuck to it 100%. I cannot commend Mr. Gonzalez's company more. God bless him....

Pool. Simple design. Pool set at an angle in our backyard.

Favian was WONDERFUL! I chose him because of all the outstanding reviews on Angie's List, and because he was the least expensive out of at least five contractors who gave me estimates. I was not the easiest client to deal with. My pool was in very bad shape. I had cantilevered concrete coping, which had completely failed. And, the concrete decking adjacent to the pool had major cracks in it. Because of the coping failure, the tile had begun to pop off. And, the pool was badly in need of re-plastering, after over 30 years. There was also a built-in pool cover, which had to be removed, and a large recessed box for the pool cover had to be filled with concrete. And, the diving board had to be removed, which meant that the concrete below and surrounding the diving board had to be re-poured. I decided to use Bellecrete pre-cast coping, because I was concerned that if I replaced the cantilevered concrete coping, it was just going to fail again. The problem was that the pre-cast coping was not as thick as the concrete coping, so Favian had to build up the surface underneath where the pre-cast coping was going to be installed, so that the pre-cast coping was level with the existing concrete deck. And, getting the correct amount of overhang of the pre-cast coping was tricky, as well. At every step of the way, Favian consulted with me, to make sure that the work he was going to do would meet my needs and desires. And, at every step of the way, I was worried about how it was going to look. If you check out the YouTube videos on the re-plastering process, it's pretty scary. It looks like there is no possible way that it could ever result in a smooth finished plaster pool. But, Favian was at the site, actually working side-by-side his crew, every day. And, everything turned out beautifully. During the process, Favian discovered that my pool pump had gone bad. (I think I was told this by a prior pool service man, but didn't have the money to do anything about it.) He also discovered that my old pool man had done some work on the pool and spa valves that he did not tell me about, and that had been done incorrectly. (We found parts on the ground by the pool equipment, which should have been in the valves!) Favian replaced everything that needed to be repaired. Now, not only does my pool look beautiful, but it actually works the way it's supposed to. I swim laps, and I love the way the rounded edge and thickness of the coping feels, when I grab onto it. I bought a wetsuit (Synergy Endorphin) from Amazon.com, and I'm now able to use my pool (hopefully) year-round. In conclusion, I would recommend Favian and Gonzalez Pools without hesitation. If I could be his sales representative, I would!

Over a period of a couple months, I called several times and no returned calls. After sending another Yelp message and informing owner that messages were left on voicemails and no returned calls, this Yelp message would be my last attempt to contact him for an appointment and for him to return my call. I am not in the habit of chasing down professionals in order to do business. He retorted that he is sorry I had trouble contacting them. (No statement as to why my calls were not returned, or that he got my messages) But, then stated he was "declining my request". That's professional! I guess he doesn't need the work, or want to be called out on the inability to return calls.

It's been a real challenge to find anyone that really understood how our system was set up given the DIY nature of the original installation. I left a message on Thursday and Steve returned my call promptly that evening and came out first thing Saturday morning to do an inspection. He spent a good hour and a half going over all of the components and analyzing what was causing certain of the jets not to function correctly. While we almost certainly will need more extensive work done in the future that will involve ripping up concrete, Steve was able to at least adjust some of the various settings enough that we can enjoy the spa again. His pricing was more than reasonable for the work done and the time spent. It was obvious how much experience Steve has and he took the time to walk us through what he was doing, even to the point of showing us some actual sample parts similar to those in our spa which he had in his bag and demonstrating how they work so we could better understand the inner workings of the plumbing and the jets. Honestly, what a pleasure to deal with a consummate expert who is willing to share his knowledge. Even more importantly, I did NOT feel like he was talking down to me as a female homeowner, which tends to be a recurrent problem for us women when engaging with certain contractors. Thank you, Steve, for your fast and courteous service and your expertise!
