He does not manage or supervise his own crew of employees. He subcontracts his work out to other refinishers. He never came to my home once in 5 days while the job was being done. After I saw the job once the first coat of stain was placed on my hardwood floors I was appalled. There were lines all over my floors. The floors were sanded unevenly and pools of different stains were all over my floors. He did remove my vents and clogged them with stain and polyurethane. He scraped my stairs and left scrape marks all over them. I had a flooring inspector come out, who said that the sanding process was done completely incorrectly, and the scraping that was done on my steps were also unprofessionally done. I had to pay to have my entire home redone stay away from Mr. hardwood. If you do not believe me please please look at the bad reviews. He is a salesman not a flooring contractor? The issue was clearly identified: six pickets (three on each side) needed to be replaced. "Simple job". However, after being told the work was "completed," I returned to find the repairs were either poorly done or not properly completed at all. He used ELECTRIC TAPE to hold the six new pickets in place, huge bolts leaving my fence compromised and installed a warped hinge for the arm to pull on. The workmanship was sloppy, rushed, and unacceptable. The pickets were not installed correctly, and the overall finish looked careless and unprofessional. It honestly raised serious concerns about the quality of anything this company touches. What's the purpose of using electric tape to hold a metal picket in place - while calling yourself and your so-called hobby something professional? What made matters worse was the complete lack of accountability. Instead of taking ownership and correcting the issues properly, the situation turned into a frustrating back-and-forth that wasted my time. I paid for a repair and instead received more damage to my gate. At this point, I am reviewing quotes from actual professionals not through Thumbtack!
