After trying various boba shops all over North Carolina, I can confidently say that Gong Cha is the best this state has to offer! Their teas have strong flavors that do not get watered down with ice (which is such a huge pet peeve of mine when it comes to boba tea). My favorite is their milk teas, which have a strong tea flavor in addition to the creaminess from the milk. For my topping, I like to get the tapioca balls, which are sweetened with brown sugar and have the perfect soft, chewy texture throughout. They also have star-shaped jellies that are lychee flavored and taste amazing in fruity drinks! Although it's a plus that Gong Cha is located right inside G Mart, I make the drive to come here any time I'm craving boba. Whether you're craving hot tea on a cold day or want a refreshing drink in the summer, Gong Cha has the perfect drink for any occasion! read more

This little shop is located inside the Super G Market. Very cute on the inside. Prices are little higher than other boba/milk tea places. They have a kiosk (little sticky) where you can order your drinks without dealing with a cashier. A customer was taking a while ordering at the kiosk so a very friendly cashier took my first order. My daughter ordered a brown sugar milk tea. She said it was good. I decided to get a drink after the hibiscus green tea picture caught my eye and the kiosk became available. Next time, I will increase the sweet level in the hibiscus tea. I chose 30% and it was bitter. The pearl boba was tasty with my drink. I will definitely visit again. read more

Very good boba! I took my daughter here for a treat after she got A's in all of her classes for the first quarter at school! They had great music playing as well, my son is such a huge fan of Kpop demon hunters. Good boba! read more

So many delicious drinks to choose from! All drink are somewhat "build your own" as in choosing the level of ice, sweetness, and topping. Service was quick, helpful, and friendly. Wasn't busy at all on a Saturday morning. Plenty is seating and loundging for a small group. Didn't have waffles available on this day. Restrooms are only available in the grocery store, not the resturant. I tried the Milk foam black coffee - 50% sweet, and extra boba. Love my coffee strong and this was a perfect cup after stiring the milk foam into it. Looking forward to my next cup read more

Yum yum yum! The match flavor bubble waffle was sooo cute. A perfect snack to go alongside the passion fruit green tea. The location is small, clean and has great customer service. The boba shop is located inside of Gmart. There are no tables but there is bench seating. read more

Great to see Gong Cha in Greensboro. Went to the location inside Super G (their other location is on Tate St!) and I've been here a couple of times. Ordered their oolong milk tea w/ grass jelly and it was decent. It was a tad bit milky to my liking but I still drank it all. Toppings are usually an additional charge but it's pretty steep compared to other boba shops around town ($1 per topping). read more

Gong Cha - Oolong milk tea (70% sweetness) w/ grass jelly! - Bubble Tea Near Me - Greensboro, North Carolina

This was our first time here and my oldest daughter and I had the brown sugar boba and my youngest had the milk tea boba. All of them were really good and I can't wait to try more flavors. They also have the bubble waffle which I want to try next time we go. read more

First time coming here, the place look pleasant, the minimal decor, yet still nice and cleanliness of the store is always good. I ordered Thai Milk Boba tea with 70% sugar. The tea tasted okay (I definitely had better somewhere else) I can't really taste that Thai flavor tea. I wanted to try their bubble waffle but didn't wanna wait that long. read more

I'll admit I'm a fan of gong cha. Was excited when the Greensboro location opened and I didn't have to travel to Charlotte to get my gong cha fix anymore. Drinks are good and there's a nice variety to choose from on the menu. Location is in a convenient part of Greensboro and service usually don't take very long. However, I did find a small piece of metal in my drink as I was eating the boba portion of my drink. read more

This place is awful. I ordered a Classic Bubble Tea, but it came without sugar and tasted like water. I won't be going back.

This is a nice spot for boba tea. One thing I like is their extensive menu. It can be hard navigating through if you're not familiar with boba but the staff was super friendly, let us sample, and gave their favorite recommendations. I also like that you can customize your ice and sweetness levels. It's in a cute part of town with a cute feel and they had good music playing inside. Would definitely recommend. read more

Gong Cha - Mango Green Tea - Bubble Tea Near Me - Greensboro, North Carolina

I can't say enough good things about Gong Cha! It's located inside Super G Mart (the international foods grocery store). Gong Cha has all of the traditional boba tea offerings: milk tea, fruit tea, slushies, and tea lattes in a variety of flavors. I especially love their mango tea with rainbow jellies (add on) as well as their creme brûlée strawberry milk tea (the latter tastes like a milkshake). The service is efficient and quick, making it the perfect pick-me-up treat. read more

Bleh bubble tea with a large side of attitude.... Stopped in after doing our shopping in Super G Mart. Greeted with an unfriendly glare by the girl at the counter with the cat eye make up. Tried to start giving her our order but she just looked over at her coworker with an extreme level of annoyance. The girl that I guess was supped to take our order while wasn't rude but definitely wasn't nice and could have saved us the interaction with the grumpy co worker simple by saying "I can help you guys down here" The tea well it matched the same level of energy as the staff. They tea tasted stale, the boba was hard and old and the lack of passion.. fruit flavor just made the whole experience not worth the money. Best part of the visit was the satisfaction of popping the straw through the top. read more

INTRO: Gong Cha is one of the most popular boba tea shop franchises currently operating in the United States, and it's about time North Carolina had their own Gong Cha. Their popularity is not unwarranted. Gong Cha is known to consistently produce tasty boba tea, regardless of their location. I've been to dozens of different boba tea shops in my lifetime and been to countless Gong Chas all over the eastern coast. Trust me when I tell you that Gong Cha is among the top 3 boba tea shops in North Carolina. I've never had a bad experience with Gong Cha. DRINK 1: Taro Smoothie ($4.50) - This is one of my go-to drinks. I love combination of the texture of the fine ice crystals and the rich taro flavor. The taro flavor is not diluted or underwhelming, which can be the case for some boba tea shops. It actually tastes like you're eating tiny pieces of taro in a smoothie. 8.5/10 DRINK 2: Matcha Milk Tea w/ Cheese Cap (limited edition) - The cheese cap surprisingly worked well with the matcha tea. The matcha flavor was apparently in every sip. 7/10 DESSERT 1: Matcha Flavor Bubble Waffle ($4.75) - The matcha flavor was distant and extremely underwhelming. Even with total concentration, I had a hard time finding the matcha flavor. The texture of the bubble waffle was more "mushy" compared to bubble waffles I've had at other boba tea shops. I prefer having a "crunchy" texture for the shell of the waffle, but the waffle was soft throughout. 4/10 VENUE: Gong Cha is located inside Super G Mart, adjacent to the cashiers and checkout stations. PARKING: Since Gong Cha is located inside Super G Mart, the Super G Mart parking lot is also used for the Gong Cha customers. There are more than enough parking spots available in the parking lot. WORTH IT? YES, if you're looking for good boba tea, Gong Cha will never let you down! (Overall 7.5/10) read more

I love Gong Cha. It's one of my favorite chain boba shops, so I was very excited to get one closer to where I live. I ordered three drinks when they first opened. There were quite a lot of people to check out this new location, but I would say they got the drinks out in a reasonable time considering the amount of customers that were there. When you go in, it is very energetic with the kpop playing and the bright lighting. The employees were very nice as well and patient when I was deciding what to get. The menu is huge! There is so much to choose from--drinks, slushes, fruit teas, etc. From what I ordered, it was just okay. The strawberry smoothie was very good, and had real strawberries in it. I would get that again. The milk teas I got were slightly disappointing. It was mostly milk. I couldn't really taste the oolong tea. The taro drink I got, unfortunately, was watered down. I went another time and ordered the oolong again, and it was the same thing. A bit disappointed considering how much I enjoyed the drinks at the Charlotte location. read more

I've been wanting to try Gong Cha since I found out about one opening up in Greensboro. The interior is very clean and they play K-pop music videos on the TV. The service was straightforward and friendly. I ordered my usual Passionfruit Green Tea with regular boba and white boba. They got the ratios right (less ice, 50% sweet) and the drink tasted great. The regular boba was slightly overcooked, but still good. This will definitely be my new regular boba spot in Greensboro. read more

Yay another boba shop. Lol (I really hope we get some boba love in Winston) anyway. Gong cha is situated as you walk in G-mart. I ordered two drinks. My usual Taro boba with pudding, but of course I HAD to try out the creme brûlée milk foam with it and I ordered the QQ passion fruit green tea as is. It comes with boba and coconut jelly. Both drinks were 70% sweet and less ice. Soooo good! The boba was cooked perfectly . Not too chewy and not hard at all! I loved it! I always get taro boba with pudding but the creme brûlée really set the drink off! The fruit tea was really refreshing! The staff were very friendly & very fast! The young lady at the register greeted every single person with such a sweet tone. Of course it's a new spot but it's super clean. They get 5 stars from me. This was a great experience & will be my go-to boba. I wish it was a stand alone spot but who knows, maybe in the future they will have another location.... Maybe in Winston? *cross fingers* lol read more

Went to Super G and saw everyone was leaving with a milk tea/tea in hand, realized Gong Cha had opened. Always have a neutral position because I am not a milk cap fan. Ordered my go to, oolong milk tea, no ice, 30% sweet, turned out sweeter than other brands such as Kung fu tea (High Point), Boba Baba and Milk Lab (Cary). Also ordered winter melon with basil seed to try, a good choice if you open to fruit or non-dairy drink, notes: try not to stir the seed if you are trypophobia read more

Well our first experience was bad! Well we promised we would never go back and we haven't. The reason for this review today is we received several messages from employees or the owners with fake profiles calling us names and sayin we have to be stupid not to understand the menu. One of the trolls even went as far as I should kill myself.. don't worry though I reported them and sent the messages to their corporate office... this place is a class act I tell you... stay away! read more

Check out this place out to see what the "hype" was all about and let me tell you it was not a good experience. I waited 30+ mins for my order. I just ordered two drinks! They literally made 8 other customers orders that came AFTER me before mines! I had to come up to them and complain about the wait. It was literally two simple drinks. Seriously, poor customer service. I got one taro milk tea and one lychee oolong tea. After the complaint, it took them 2 mins to make my order. The taro milk tea had very good flavor actually, but it was very powdery which made the drink unpleasant to drink. The lychee oolong tea was literally gross. It was warmish (I ordered two cold drinks) and very bitter. I had oolong tea many times before and this tasted so gross that I threw away the whole thing after two sips. Maybe the drinks were terrible because they rushed it? Either way, it was a terrible experience for me and I will never come back. read more

I love Gong cha overall. There tea is great and the location is convenient. However, over the past month or so, they were always out of Waffle mix or saying they can't do it due to lack of staff. I understand it is a difficult time but it is frustrating not being able to get what I wanted for so many times. If they think they can't offer it for this long, then they should at least temporarily remove it from the menu or put a sign up. read more

Every time I come to this location I'm told that they aren't able to make bubble waffles. I asked when they would be available and I didn't get much of an answer and asked again. Turns out they don't make the batter for them when they're "understaffed". No one was inside the store to serve, but us (two people). It was 11:30am. Every single time I come in the store is completely empty until you open the door to enter. Once you do, a hoard of employees walk out to take your order. And even when they are there, there are no waffles. When I had left they walked back into their employee cave for another set of customers to come in. Please don't continuously advertise what you don't have. It's frustrating, especially if that's the only reason why I come here and it's explicitly advertised that that item is served and the only reason why it's not served is because the employees don't want to work. Very bad service. read more
