No hidden fees like Comcast. The install was professional and quick. You do have to provide your own router (I recommend the TP Link Archer C3150). I have to reboot the router every three or four hours. than it will go completely out. I call tech support. they trouble shoot. no help, they send out part changers (techs), they change parts. two or three hours later. I have to reboot the router ever two or three hours. don't waste your time with this company. I live in a rural area. their cable is not on utility poles, it on the ground. If they were any faster, they'd be an ambulance service. Was repaired in 10 minutes and I was back in business. STAY AWAY! I cancelled my service, but the equipment was attached to my wall and I wasn't able to get it off in order to make the return. I scheduled an appointment for a tech to come, but had to cancel twice. I care for my 90 year old mom with Dementia and at times I have to move things around. I called yesterday to cancel today's appointment, but they came anyway and when I wasn't here the person in the truck left a message getting on my case for not being here. I HAD CANCELLED!!! So, I called "customer service" and I was treated totally disrespectfully by two women in a row. The first wouldn't even give me her name. The second kept talking over me and I was forced to raise my voice to get her to hear me. UNBELIEVABLE! After dealing with that I tired to contact the president in Rochester...true to form, there is NO CORPORATE NUMBER! They just put you back into the same "customer service" nightmare. We had terrible service from Consolidated in Maine (10 and 1 - the best they had). We decided to go fiber with GoNetSpeed. Today we have 250/250. Super fast. Cory and Andrew went through the entire process explaining each step. They helped us to work a solution that avoided drilling holes in walls and also a work around on how to power it with what we had. So far no good, I miss the cable company I had before. Where do I begin? Salesmen were going door to door trying to get everyone in the neighborhood signed up, I asked if the price would go up a year later, this young man tells me no, we're putting you in as a 're-roll'. I asked if he could put that in writing for me, he sends me an email from his personal gmail account. I found out after installation that I was lied to and they asked me to forward the email. No apology and the price will be going up. Great. Next, they bill me for a higher package and when I call multiple times to get the charge corrected they tell me they can't change it online and to only pay what I owe. Here we are a month later and I'm getting threatened by email that my service will get disconnected soon due to a $20 balance. I called customer service 2 days so and I'm still waiting on a response. Another thing I didn't appreciate is the second hole drilled into my hardwood floor without asking me first, all they had to do was pull the existing cable cord out of the existing hole and run the fiber in the perfecting good already drilled hole in my floor. Customer service is hard to reach and their automated system often loops you around. Lastly, the internet drops more than my previous service and the internet is slower despite the (on paper) speeds being higher. I've experienced nothing but grief with this company and the savings isn't even worth it. I'm not sure what's more frustrating, having to keep calling customer service or having important zoom meetings drop in the middle of my presentations at work. read more

I've never had an ISP who does not engage with their customers in real time. When my connection stopped working and I called tech support, I was put on hold for an hour. When someone finally answered, they didn't even engage with me, just took my name and said a technician would call me me back. When no one called, I emailed them, and they said that they have opened a ticket and someone will get to it when they can.
