Typically our service is adequate, but it went out yesterday. I called and they said no one could come out to fix it because the person left on call is saved for "emergencies." So it will be tomorrow morning. My husband waits and no one comes. I call and they say it will actually be the next day before they can come. Problem is, NO ONE told us! I called again and they said sorry for the miscommunication but oh well. Of course, we get no discount for the outage and miscommunication. Ridiculous! For months they plastered my neighborhood with fliers and door to door salesmen. After I finally decided to give them a try, the 3rd Party installer let himself into my house - twice. Just showed up 30 minutes before the installation window and walked right into my house. I filed a complaint and never heard anything. Service reliability is similar to Frontier fiber but the "whole home wifi" that costs an extra $10 per month is just a single wifi access point that doesn't cover my 1000 sq foot house. I signed up due to a good deal they were offering for the same advertised speeds. According to my bill, after the first year it will cost the same as Frontier did and after the second year it will cost almost 20% more. And I actually had whole home wifi with multiple access points with Frontier. It's too bad Frontier is literally evil or I'd think about switching back immediately. read more

Have service in Vermont yet despite this my IP is assigned to Alabama. This effectively means that despite living 1,200 miles away I am expected to follow Alabama ID verification laws when visiting adult sites meaning I am locked out as these websites are not willing to store the data despite my state not having these laws I am a 30 year old man paying $90 a month to be treated like a child online. Their offers for fiber are great deals but they have some of the worst customer service. First you'll be waiting in at least a 20 minute queue for any department. You will then have to wait at least 2 and up to 24 hours for any reconnections after such is lost. It took me two hours just to get to that point of realization. Multiple times their representatives hung up on me and rerouted my call (just to wait again). Unless your life is perfect with no hiccups, don't consider going with them. read more

I've had GoNetSpeed since Oct 2022 when it first came to the Bangor, ME area. It was the first Fiber Optic provider to make its way up here. No issues. Reasonable price. Now that I see another (competitor) fiber optic internet service in my area, attempting to give GoNetSpeed a run for their money, and was told that they are far better, (with no proof or validity, only the word of a stranger who assumed to know things he could not possibly know), I tried GNS's rival company. I'd say speed-wise and price-wise, the 2 companies are just about the same. However, regarding customer service, tech support, communication and responsiveness of the people who work for the company, and overall professionalism, GoNetSpeed is far superior to it's current rival Fiber Optic service in Brewer, ME. I have requested service since Friday for wifi down. On Friday they promised me they would come Saturday morning, on Saturday morning they promised me Saturday afternoon, on Saturday afternoon they promised me Sunday and now it is Sunday and they are saying they MAY be able to come on Monday. I have had no issues until now and am beyond disappointed in these false promises. I have been told they would call to update me which they haven't called me once, I keep having to call. They also told me on Friday that Sunday's schedule was completely empty so it would be no issue but now it's full so I am assuming they lost my ticket. Installer arrived on time and that's about the only good thing I can say.. Dragged mud on my rug, never attempting to wear shoe covers or take any pride or care in my property. Spent a grand total of 15 minutes, left two empty boxes on the floor, told me I was all set and left. Never attempted to introduce me to a 3 minute introduction. Poor customer service and doesn't really have the ability to deal with customers in an appropriate manner. To top it off he had to use my bathroom. One of my biggest pet peeves about people that do work in your home and he wasn't here that long. He should have relieved hiself before he got here at the local McDonalds. I have had constant problems with go-net-speed. I had a bill with due date of 16 December. I mailed a check Dec 4th for $29.88 and it was received 10 December. I was shut off for non payment. I called and the customer service representative could not find the payment. My Service was restored automatically the next day. However next billing cycle had a $50.00 re connection fee. My last payment was returned by the Post Office. The post office said there as no mail receptacle and no forwarding address on file. The payment was sent to the payment coupon address. I pay 110$ for 10mbps. It is July 24th. I called JUNE 23rd because our bonded modem stopped working. Techs came out and switched us up to a new modem. This new modem has only been running at quarter speed. I have been begging and pleading with them ever since to come out and fix it. I get the run around every time and no one will help. One of the lines is just not working. Im told it's gone to an engineer 2 weeks ago. I NEED internet for my work. I NEED Zoom. I haven't been able to work in over a month now. No more PTO. Really disappointed with Go Net Speed as they needed access to my backyard to run wires. They were out there all day working also up and down the street then they disappeared around 5pm leaving wires laying all around my yard. I have a wire across my fence which goes up to the telephone pole and back down to my ground then tons of wire zigzagged throughout my yard. I attempted to get GoNetsSpeed to my appartment 3 times and each time they canceled the installation on me, and couldn't keep anyone else at the company informed of our appointments. My first contact was 2 weeks before I moved in, no one would pick up or call back till the 3rd day I was already moved in. We set a date and the next day it was canceled. Made a new appointment it was canceled again, had another call with a different person telling us the new appointment was a different day just to tell us it was canceled again 3 days prior to the new appointment date. Now they have stated that they won't install at the address that I had been told prior 3 times and on the website that it was in range of coverage. This is the worst costomer service I have ever had. STAY AWAY! I cancelled my service, but the equipment was attached to my wall and I wasn't able to get it off in order to make the return. I scheduled an appointment for a tech to come, but had to cancel twice. I care for my 90 year old mom with Dementia and at times I have to move things around. I called yesterday to cancel today's appointment, but they came anyway and when I wasn't here the person in the truck left a message getting on my case for not being here. I HAD CANCELLED!!! So, I called "customer service" and I was treated totally disrespectfully by two women in a row. The first wouldn't even give me her name. The second kept talking over me and I was forced to raise my voice to get her to hear me. UNBELIEVABLE! No hidden fees like Comcast. The install was professional and quick. You do have to provide your own router (I recommend the TP Link Archer C3150). I have the Gig speed package and posted an image of my latest speed test. Speeds are insane. Service is stable...no downtime in over 3 months. No buffering at peak times. Absolutely no slowdowns.
