AMAZING! Richard gave us an experience we will never forget. Amazing sunset, city lights, perfect night.

If you are looking for a friendly and reliable Gondola ride look no further! I booked Gondola Amore for my partner's birthday and loved every minute of it. We were both first timers and didn't know what to expect. Our gondolier Jake was lively, entertaining and sweet. We got the charcuterie package which could've been better, it was similar to an individual Italian ready pac salad. However it was inexpensive and just enough to snack on if you don't feel like packing your own treats. We took a bottle of wine (no corkage fee) which was nice. Parking was easy we parked where recommended by Gondola Amore right by their docking area (for free). All staff we encountered were friendly and professional. And our ride started on time. I highly recommend this place if you are like me and have no idea where to start.

Absolutely an amazing experience! Richard the owner took us very last minute and was the highlight of our trip! We had his son Chris as our tour guide. Took us around the marina at sunset. Gondola is all decked out with lights and music. Worth every bit of $160!!! Small family owned business without a website so please be patient and leave a message if they don't answer right away. Highly recommend! You WON'T be disappointed!! Highlight of our trip to Cali! Very romantic! 5 star experience!

Seriously, this is one of the moments we will always remember when we think about living in Southern California. From start to finish this ride was amazing! My favorite thing about this place is that it's more of a mom and pop feel, not some huge company that doesn't care about your experience. Richard helped my boyfriend plan the romantic Christmas Eve boat ride and I couldn't be happier! There was champagne and strawberries, nice Italian music playing, candles lit around the boat, and beautiful roses and Christmas decor everywhere! We had a gorgeous ride through the marina and watched the sunset. We even saw Sea Lions which in still taking about! I'm definitely coming back here for valentines. It's so romantic, you fall in love all over again!

Spent the best 1 year anniversary with my love here and it could NOT have gone better!! Richard is the sweetest most helpful man possible and our rower Caden was very kind. I'm glad I called Richard in advance and booked a sunset tour because this place was so beautiful! Also I'm lucky it didn't take me too long to find this spot but Richard's directions were very helpful. I got the deluxe package (155$), with included crackers, grapes, chocolate, a bouquet of red roses, and sparkling cider. Definitely coming back here, just look at the pictures of the sunset!!

Richard is the best! This was a magical and romantic experience. We brought wine and dessert on the gondola for our beautiful sunset ride. Make sure you book in advance and if necessary call again. Richard is an old school dude but once you get a hold of him to book, you'll have an amazing experience. We'll be back!!!

Absolutely perfect!!! Gentlemen, the awesome people in this company will work hard for you to impress the lady you want to impress. Take it from one who have had the Venetian canals gondola rides, this is as good without the stank of the Venetian one. My boyfriend worked together with them to give me he best proposal a girl could ever want. He surprised me halfway through our ride, I'm not giving away how since I would hate to spoil it for future couples. But let's just say after the proposal I like totally cry for a good 5 minutes -not the sweet girly sobs, but like hyperventilating sobs of happiness. It touched me so much how much effort he has put into this. Seriously call them and see how they can make your proposal memorable. Our gondolier, Larry, was super nice, and so was the owner ?Ena. I can't believe my boyfriend was able to surprised me with such an awesome proposal, I'm still on cloud nine.

I went here in 2011 for Valentines weekend. I have been wanting to do something like this and since my boyfriend and I were visiting LA we thought it would be a great idea. It is not the gondola ride you take in Italy, but it sure topped off our memorable moments. The boat was absolutely beautiful, and looked handcrafted just for them. We took the sunset gondola ride with the champagne package, which included chocolate treats, crackers, and grapes. They also suggested when going on your ride to take a camera with you (as your personal gondolier will take a few photos before leaving the dock), and to take a comfy blanket (it did) get a little nippy during that afternoon. By the time we took off, the gondolier also sang Italian and told us about the history. It was longer than most gondola rides, and as we rode along we got a few thumbs up from a few locals. A sure thing to do for valentines day or even for a proposal. Highly recommended for those hopeless romantics!

Peace and love with a bottle of wine !!

Professional and fun experience. Owner was on time and we departed early. He even brought extra drinks for the kids.

A nice experience, although the boat rocks in the open water, but very smooth in the marina.

The Alchemy is a gorgeous 36ft Sailboat, it was very comfortable for our party of 4 (plus Geoff & Emily), but can definitely comfortably accommodate additional numbers. Our group sailed for 4 hours from Redondo to Palos Verdes (swim/lunch break in PV) back up towards Manhattan Beach before we returned to the lovely King Harbor Marina (parking is very convenient!). I highly recommend going with Alchemy Sailing over the larger companies that operate out of Marina del Rey. The setting is much more picturesque sailing around the South Bay, and you're not stuck for an extended period navigating out of the labyrinth that is Marina del Rey. Plus you don't want to miss out on sailing with Geoff & Emily, they really made the experience very special and I can't wait to go again!

I've spent a bunch of time on and under the water, years in fact, but always under motor power so this was an entirely new thing for me and I am shocked that I waited decades to learn the basics. We had a blast! Natasha, our captain and HSIC, (Head sailor in charge) was great with a simple step but step process combined with great attention attention to detail and focus that I so appreciate as a military instructor because its the little things that when learned well, make all the difference. I am pretty sure that we took off two years of her with our lack of mad skilz but she didn't say anything lol. If you're anything like me then you know how to sail, IN ONE DIRECTION LOL. Its getting turned back around and heading home that is a real challenge and even on this first time out we had a great understanding of how much there is to know but how basic the basics are given the time that we will now put into learning and practicing them. We are on our way back for our next lesson this next week and if I am not stranded on an island for seven seasons like Gilligan was then ill write another review. If you've thought about sailing then I highly suggest this company and Redondo location because of the way the harbor and inlet is built. Lots of space to sail around in before or after you get on the open ocean. Funny ive been a sailor for over 20 years in the Navy but never learned how to sail until last week. Bon Voyage!
