Our group was 4 adults, 4 kids, and our dog and everyone had a blast. I had done one of those regular glass bottom boats before and it was honestly boring. This one is way different. The boat has two levels. You start on the top deck cruising King Harbor where you get to see sea lions, and then go downstairs into this cozy underwater room with huge windows on both sides. You can sit right next to the glass and watch fish swim by like you're in a tiny underwater aquarium Captain Erik was amazing. He was hilarious, super interactive, and thoughtful. He noticed when one of my friends didn't have a jacket and made sure she wasn't too cold, let the kids try on the captain's hat, and somehow made everyone on board, including a few strangers, feel included. The sunset was beautiful, the ride was smooth and easy for kids and dogs, and it was way better than we expected. If you're in the South Bay and think you know what a glass bottom tour is, this one will surprise you. I get TERRIBLE seasickness and I did not feel sick for a second! Totally worth the traffic and we'll definitely be coming back.

Everyone is split into two groups, and each group takes turns going down to the glass-bottom area to look at the fish for about 10-15 minutes. The ride was about 45 minutes. A couple of tips: use the restroom before the tour since there isn't one on the boat, and don't forget to bring a hat or cap, water, and plenty of sunscreen. Overall, it was a fun boat ride! Our captain was friendly, and we got to learn some local history while seeing Redondo Beach from the water. It was a scenic, relaxing, and memorable way to spend time out on the ocean.

Captain Sebastian was super friendly and a fantastic communicator, making sure we had all the information we needed to make it to the launch ramp on time (directions, parking, etc.). An Absolutely Incredible Experience!…read more We had the most amazing time with Newport Coastal Adventure! Captain Dave and Sarah were absolutely wonderful--friendly, welcoming, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. They got us out to a pod of dolphins so quickly and efficiently, and it was absolutely breathtaking! Then, thanks to their years of experience and expertise, they managed to find not just one, but THREE whales in such a short amount of time! It was truly an unforgettable experience. I would HIGHLY recommend Newport Coastal Adventure to anyone looking for a unique and exciting adventure on the water. It was well worth the money and so much more personal than being on one of the large, crowded whale-watching boats. The smaller group made the entire experience feel intimate, comfortable, and special. This is such a fun adventure for the whole family, and Captain Dave and Sarah made the experience even better with their professionalism, and wonderful personalities. Five stars all the way! DO NOT BELIEVE TO ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS!!!…read more Went there today and i want to say that i'm super disappointed. My girlfriend started to feel bad and i asked if she can just have a sit inside and not to stay under the sun and i'll give her a bag just in case she needs it. I was really panicking and had no other option, we were in the middle of the ocean and this old Asian rude man was like "You can not come inside if you feel sick, go outside". Like are you freaking serious man? What other option do i have to help her? Other guy just yelled at me when i asked if i can get a small weight as the lines got mixed up and one of the crew members cut mine to help another guy to get his fish out. There were so many people and you just don't enjoy anything. They literally don't care about human beings and need only money. NEVER RETURNING BACK!!!
