Yachts4Fun has been an awesome charter service once I completed their courses necessary to get ASA and bareboat certified!

I wish I remembered his name! He also had the sweetest dog named Stella. When we arrived, the employee who got us set up on the boat was just as great -- patient, informative, fun, and super easygoing. We rented a boat for 2 hours and it ended up being the perfect Memorial Day activity. Highly recommend if you want to explore the marina or ocean, sunbathe, fish, listen to music, and just enjoy good vibes. Thank you again for such a fun experience!

AVOID THIS PLACE. Worst boat rental experience I've ever had…read more The manager was rude and condescending from the moment we arrived. Someone in our group had already started the check-in process about 15 minutes before the rest of us arrived, yet we still stood around for another 20 minutes while he repeatedly ignored us. When he finally dealt with us, he spoke to us like we were children rather than paying customers. After we finished checking in, we waited roughly another 20 minutes with no boat. I finally went over and politely asked where our boat was, and instead of simply giving me an update, he started yelling at me and told me we were "lucky" we were even still getting a boat. He literally laughed in my face and was incredibly condescending. And somehow, that wasn't even the worst part. We finally got on the water and the boat failed while we were out there. We were stranded and someone had to come retrieve us from the middle of the water. They put us on a second boat, and that boat wouldn't start either. The manager immediately claimed it was "user error" and came over to show us what we were supposedly doing wrong. Except when HE tried it, he couldn't get the boat started either. Instead of acknowledging that there was clearly a problem with the boat, he then blamed us for "overheating" it. At that point they were going to put us on a THIRD boat, but we were completely over it. Between the excessive waiting, being yelled at and laughed at, getting stranded on the water, and then having a second boat fail, we just wanted to leave. What also bothered me was watching how he spoke to his own employees. Even his employees apologized to us on his behalf, which honestly said a lot. I understand that mechanical problems can happen. What made this experience unacceptable was the combination of two boats having problems and a manager who responded to legitimate concerns with yelling, blame, ridicule, and condescension instead of basic customer service. I wish I had read the other reviews before coming here because, based on my experience, many of them describe remarkably similar issues. I would never rent from this business again.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience sailing with NAOS Yachts in Marina del Rey on October 9,…read more2026. We chartered Firefly, a Beneteau 37.1, with Captain Lori Klaidman, who made the entire outing relaxing, enjoyable, and memorable. Lori took us north from the marina to a beautiful anchorage in about 2 hours. We briefly dropped the hook in 30 feet of water, jumped in to cool off then enjoying drinks and snacks we brought aboard. We raised the sails and heading south and east back toward the marina to complete the day sail. The combination of time at anchor and a peaceful sail made for exactly the kind of day on the water we had hoped for. Lori was an excellent captain. Jennifer and I were impressed with he knowledge of the region, professionalism and easygoing nature. She even provided special eyeglass frames which help settle Jennifer's mild seasickness which seriously helped make the experience enjoyable. Firefly was a pleasure to helm, set and retract in mast sails which is easier than traditional boom stacked sail we have on our boat back home. We visit family in Los Angeles annually and take advantage of sailing the opposite coast especially because it would take a day or more to reach open water from where we sail back east. Besides the proximity to the ocean, charactering with NAOS affords a wonderful way to enjoy the Southern California coast. We intend to return to strongly recommend NAOS Yacths to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-run sailing experience in Marina del Rey.

The views were absolutely beautiful, making for a relaxing and memorable time on the water. One of the highlights was a few of us getting the opportunity to steer the boat, which made the experience even more unique and engaging. Molly & Captain Rich were fantastic--friendly, personable, and attentive throughout the trip. They made everyone feel welcome and ensured we had a great time. If you're looking for a fun and memorable team outing or a special day on the water, I highly recommend Nao Yachts!
